wouldn't the summoner's hp go up via rage, not the eidolon's?

well when the eidolon is summoned you cant target the summoner and eidolon independtly. now as far as i understand it, if the MC barb Synth did not have the eidolon summoned, raged, did moment of clarity and performed the summmon eidolon (spell not ritual), the summoners hp would be the one with extra hp correct?

otherwise if raged after eidolon is summoned then hp applied to eidolon but like i stated before do the temp hp stack?

Well then when a MC Synthesist Barbarian that Rages after eidolon is summoned, doesn't his rage hp stack with the eidolons hp

Does the Spirit wisp attack of lesser spirit totem count as a secondary attack and all penalties associated with applied?

Synthesist barbarian hybrid might work too going with the spirit totem. Biped half elf concentrating evolutions on improving stats horns and wings

Anything optimized for adventuring is not going to be the best for actually settling down into a regency. That being said, these classes would probably be decent at it: Bard, Paladin, Sorcerer, Oracle and Summoner. Whether or not they want to do it is another question entirely.

I could see a synthesist summoner with an angelic build and a whole lot of skilled evolutions doing this.

Melee Synths are insanely overpowered; your 30 strength at 8th level will make the not-quite full BAB bonus irrelevant. As to building for specifics, you'd give a dragon large size, wings, claws, bite, and armor (standard except wings) on a Quadraped, and later probably breath weapon for flavor. A cloaked would be hard to reproduce; increased stealth, grab, dunno?

You'll outpace any melees in your party though; don't sweat thinking you'll be underpowered :).

Remember that as a synthesist you do not qualify for Extra Evolution; good feats to start you off include Toughness, Improved Initiative, and depending on your interpretation of the rules, Power Attack.

Why doesn't he qualify for extra evolution?

Doesn't it say in the description something to the effect that the summoner uses his own abilities and gear and in ALL OTHER CASES this ability function's as the summoner's normal eidolon ability?

He doesn't qualify because the prerequisite is the Eidolon class feature, which the synthesist archetype replaces with the Fused Eidolon class feature.

but doesn't "ALL OTHER CASES this ability function's as the summoner's normal eidolon ability? " meet that feature
