Female Human Sorcerer (Sylvan)
AoO Touch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
If I cannot throw a bomb as part of an AoO (or it would be ill advised to do so) then consider it not taken Will Save: 1d20 + 3 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 3 + 5 - 2 = 25 Kallista's eyes fly open "Kill it" she yells out as she stumbles around, disorientated, until she spots some of her friends darting down a tunnel, and she follows, drinking her Mutagen as she runs. "Oh Andrei! you got out!" she exclaims as she sees her friend up and about, and not stuck wherever that creature had sent him.
Female Human Sorcerer (Sylvan)
If its a Will save to wake up, then its doubtful I'll succeed a DC 15 Will Save, especially with the Wisdom damage being applied (apparently with no save). It means that my chances of waking up are pretty tiny short of rolling a nat 20 unless I get some sort of situational bonus.
Female Human Sorcerer (Sylvan)
Kallista shrugs slightly "I'm working on it, but I don't quite have a full understanding of that particular healing formula, and so lack an ability to prepare an extract for you". Kallista has a blank look for a second, before brightening, opening up her formula book and handing it to Anwel. "I inscribed a short summary sheet, I know you struggled with the formula last time, but at least you can see what is currently available to me, if it helps" Looks like I'll be spending some quality time with Anwel's spellbooks, so I can add more formula to my list.
Female Human Sorcerer (Sylvan)
Kallista regretfully shakes her head "Most of my magic is combat based, and I currently lack the tools to bypass magical affects". "With all that said however, if we needed to drag someone away, I guess I could assist with that, although at the same time, it doesn't fulfill me with confidence in having to retreat from this thing twice"
Female Human Sorcerer (Sylvan)
Init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12 Can I get distances from Kallista to the centipede, where Warren is etc. Ideally speaking, I would like to stand from range and throw bombs, but with Warren so low, there is little point me using a splash weapon until he has sufficient healing
Female Human Sorcerer (Sylvan)
Kallista closes her eyes in thought for a few moments, thinking hard. "I don't believe there is anything extra I could give you, except maybe preparing my daily extracts more suitably?" Apologies for the inactivity, had jury service since monday but its all finished now
Female Human Sorcerer (Sylvan)
Kallista gets a fright and almost drops her, managing to regain her hold just in time. Carefully, she puts Phedre down, as she stands up straight and looks at Anwel. "I'm all for killing rats, they could get out of hand in a place such as this...but I draw the line if something attempts to take our own lives. Do you have a suggestion as to how to tackle it, or perhaps a way to nullify this nasty cold?"
Female Human Sorcerer (Sylvan)
Kallista is still getting her bearings, but does her best to describe what she saw "Anwel, Warren, half a second ago I was in a luxurious room, with food in it, and a attractive creature calling itself Pasithel...and now I am here...what is happening to me?" Can I roll Knowledge Arcana / Nature for a better understanding of what just happened, as well as what the creature is?
Female Human Sorcerer (Sylvan)
Will Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17 Andrei, Phedre:
Kallista smiles at Pasithel, and follows, before staggering slightly as if she had been struck. Unsteady on her feet, Kallista looks about in shock and surprise, before hearing a deep voice cry out "GET OUT...GET OUT OF MY HEAD". Kallista's back arches and she cries out as there is a flash of something...other before she vanishes from the dream(?). Kallistia's eyes flicker open, as she experiences a moments panic as she wonders why she's suddenly on the ground (not sure if I remember the "dream" or not). "What...what on earth just happened?
Female Human Sorcerer (Sylvan)
I've seen those ice caves firsthand in New Zealand, its really pretty Kallista bends over, getting a close look at the frozen rats. "How fascinating", she remarks, carefully prodding the rat with the point of a finger. She hesitates slightly "Isn't it possible for a spell to have this sort of affect yes?" Knowledge Arcana: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
Female Human Sorcerer (Sylvan)
Running a hand through her hair Kallista manages an awkward laugh. "I guess I misjudged you, and I would be happy to share my research with you..when time allows" Her face turns serious again as Anwel continues "Yes, I agree that shapechanging curses do hold the answer...but sadly that magic is beyond me at this time" Kallista tries to smile "I guess I make do with what I can"
Female Human Sorcerer (Sylvan)
Kallista looks blank for a second, "Changing my face...oh, you mean the research I'm doing!". Her face glowing with enthusiasm, she quickly elaborates. "In my spare time, I'm looking for a cure for lycanthropy...that spell is just one of many spells that I am looking at in terms of magic changing the shape of someone. I am convinced that there is a connection - however small - somewhere between polymorph magic, and whatever it is that triggers lycanthropy, and if I can hone in on that, maybe I can find a cure!" Caught up in her own enthusiasm, she starts rummaging through her saddlebags, looking for her sheaf of research notes, before checking herself. "Oh, please excuse me, I just get like that sometimes...you probably don't want to read piles and piles of notes anyway..it gets a bit dry in hindsight, but it gives me somewhere to direct my energies in my spare time"
Female Human Sorcerer (Sylvan)
Actually, I only really arrived at the end of your trial, so technically I don't know much about Anwel's...patron(?) other than that she wanted the stolen lands. Likewise I wouldn't know where he was from, nor the specific magic he was taught. Kallista shrugs "In general, I always saw magic itself as neither good nor bad, but defined by how it was used thus, I would have nothing to fear from your black book - assuming I could even work the magic inside ". Smiling, she reaches out and takes the dirty brown book "I think I'll start with this one though" Taking the book with care, she then reaches into her bags and pulls out a brown leather bound book, filled with complex formula, passing it over to Anwel "A word of warning though, you might struggle to learn some of my formula...its a little complex". Do I need a spellcraft roll to know what sort of spells are within this book?
Female Human Sorcerer (Sylvan)
I'll mostly be working on simple items such as Tanglefoot Bags. Initial craft list would be something like 5 Tanglefoot bags, and then 2 thunderstones. Later on, I'll create potions (when I know what the party wants), and as I progress in levels I'll move up to poison. Anyway, working on a Tanglefoot Bag. I have an alchemists lab, and have +13 on my Craft Alchemy Check to create alchemical items.
Female Human Sorcerer (Sylvan)
Kallista looks over interestedly, as Anwell prepares spells from his spellbook. After watching curiously for a few moments, Kallista spurs her horse closer to Anwel "Anwel..I apologise if this is too forward of me but can I...can I read that book of yours if you are willing, and if I can get a spare moment?" GM, how do you want me to work in my craft. Do you want me to tell you what I spent on crafting over the past four days, or would you rather I not craft "on the road", as it were.
Female Human Sorcerer (Sylvan)
Quote: It is easier to beg forgiveness than ask permission. That quote works in a job since you are cutting out the red tape, but it doesn't really work out well in the policies between states / nations (since snatching and grabbing territory (in this instance) never really ends well. If this had no adverse affects, I wouldn't really care, but the consequences of this could be massive (war), and there just isn't a need for it. If you absolutely want to push this, then id rather wait until our kingdom / lands / territory is in a stronger place than theres are, so if s*$* hit the fan we would be in a far less vulnerable situation. RISK MANAGEMENT gentlemen, the last thing we want to do is damage relationships with potential allies by making a risky move that could easily backfire.
Female Human Sorcerer (Sylvan)
Kallista is open mouthed at Warren's almost casual claim that they witnessed the birth of a new deity, her mind ticking over at the various possibilities. There are a number of questions she wants to ask upon this subject but holds onto the impulse to ask them, figuring there would be time enough for that later. Upon Warren's assessment upon his idea for the settlements government, Kallista shrugs "I care little for who currently rules, or what system of government we choose, although I do agree that including the worship of Erastil within our government should definitely be considered, although to what degree Erasil would be involved is another matter entirely. I always prefered cities that encouraged freedom of choice for worship, and I worry that while honoring Erasil as a Patron Deity might give us great favour, if it impacts on what other people wish to worship, both in the short term, and the long term. "
Female Human Sorcerer (Sylvan)
"That 'one other' wouldn't be me now would it?" Kallista remarks, looking rather breathless at forcing her way through the crowd. "Lovely speeches by the way...Morrowgate...such a queer yet interesting name". Kallistra rattles this off very quickly, and yet seems half distracted at the same time. "Oh dear, I quite forgot, you can call me Kallista, and I came with that recent crop of settlers...just as an escort you understand, it was tricky getting here". At this she looks around quickly, "I'm sorry, I wasn't really told all of your names..."
Female Human Sorcerer (Sylvan)
Kallista observes that the meeting appears to be over, and promptly heads in the direction of the barrel, deciding to get some sort of refreshment. As the press of people move inwards, Kallista loses sight of elf she saw address the crowd, but decides to mingle anyway.
Female Human Sorcerer (Sylvan)
Working on the assumption that the charter bearers are the other PCs, if this is not the case please correct me A young brown haired women casually wonders over to the palisade gates. After having successfully escorted a group of settlers Kallista would have liked nothing more than to rest but after hearing that the other charter bearers were attending a council meeting outside, she decided to tag along and get a first impression on each character bearer. Perception Check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18 Also if someone can give me a sparknotes version of key events that would be awesome. I read through the gameplay thread, and have a vague idea of the subtleties going on, but then again 2,600 posts its a large amount of text to read through, and confirmation that I am at least vaguely following the developments would be lovely.
Finished my Alchemist, backstory is in the profile. The Crunch:
