I'm looking to build a character that wields a weapon similar to the Combat cross from CASTLEVANIA. Any suggestions on how the weapon would work and what class might be the best to use it with?

Pretty much anything that's at our challenge rating we destroy. Our dm is hella lazy and uses a monster generator he found online and even the monsters he makes a few CRs higher we defeat with ease.

I'm in a campaign with some friends and I need to know how to make the monsters/opponents stronger without it being completely unfair. Can anyone help?

For the rules question you get 3 total at first level and 4 total at second level.

For the build question, do you have something in mind? or do you just want help with a powerful eidolon? If you want an optimized eidolon build I don't think you can do any better than a Kali/centaur type quadroped build with wakizashis, pounce, as many arms as you can buy, and claw claw bite.

I hate to sound dumb but could you elaborate on your first answer?

From what I took from it, I add one evol. point per level. Is that right?

I think it would be awesome to make a berserker-type eidolon. Something in the biped category. But the centaur thing, can you use that as a mount as well? What is the post powerful eidolon? How effective are hydras?

Sorry about all the questions, but I'm new to summoners and I'm super excited. Thanks for all your help.

I am building my summoner for a friends campaign and I have a question on the evolution point system. My basic question is how many evolution points I get at each level. And do the points carry over? For example, on the table it says that at level 1 I have 3 evolution points to spend and at level 2 I have 4 points. Does that mean that I add one point each level, or the entire number that's listed? So from level 1 -> 2 to I get one additional evolution point, or 4?

Also does anyone have a step by step build I can look at? I looked at the guidelines page, but most of the builds have leaps and bounds in between levels.

There is a wonderful guide posted under the guide to the guides section.

My 2 cents, You only need a Cha of 16, and you only need that at higher levels, if you plan on mainly buffing, which the Summoner is great at.

Pounce is amazing, as is natural armor since your eidolon cannot ever wear any form of manufactured armor.

If you focus on pounce, you will want to take some abilities to bypass the DR most prevalent in your world.

That is about all. You really cannot go wrong, or very far wrong, with a summoner.

Thank you so much, but I'm having trouble finding the guidelines section you mentioned. Can you help me?

I appreciate the suggestion, but this isn't the first tabletop rpg I've played, forgive me I should have clarified. I am just new to pathfinder. :) I do want to make a summoner, and I'm familiar with the eidolon. I just need advice on builds and what to do to make a successful summoner.

I am building a character for a friend's campaign, I thought a summoner would be fun but I need help with the build and the eidolon. The campaign is a standard 15 point adventure. Where do I go from here? Can anyone help? All suggestions are greatly appreciated. (This is my first thread too. So I hope this goes well)
