Kalas looks around the room for a minute, but sees nothing to add beyond what Anwar has already noticed.

Once Tomren finishes, Kalas takes the remaining scrolls and mutters a quick incantation. "These other four are for healing and movement. And we should activate that first one on Rogar or Doubtful. It can only help them."

"You've all gone soft. They didn't welcome us and say, 'Hey, why don't you join our cult?' No, they just tried to kill us." Even a fellow druid has gotten soft living in civilization. What's this world coming to?

@GM: If I still have neutralize poison left when the delay is about to end, I'll try that first. Otherwise, just ask Anwar to help with a Heal check and then roll my Fortitude saves.

Kalas throws one of the cloaks at Tomren, "Make yourself useful and figure out what all of that stuff does."

He then turns to Doubtful and Anwar, "Help me get these bodies to the courtyard, and then Jinni can drag them to the edge of that cliff. I doubt they'll bother us from the bottom."

But after a moment, he looks at Mirage, "Unless you're hungry, of course?"

"I'll cut off his escape. Surround him."

Kalas rushes around the building, and lifts his shillelagh above the doorway.

Double move. If the does try to flee and provoke, the attack is at +6, 3d6+10.

But my bonuses will hopefully be higher at that point, and combat is not the time to figure that out. And I have a neutralize poison which will get used on me if still leftover at the end of the scenario.

One can withdraw during a surprise round or while staggered. Restricted Withdraw: If you are limited to taking only a standard action each round you can withdraw as a standard action. In this case, you may move up to your speed.

Kalas rushes in front of Mirage, putting himself between her and their assailants. Where is her foolish companion? He should be right here protecting her!

Jinnivwer would still be in the courtyard, covering the staircase. Though I might have moved her to the other side when we moved.

I was supposed to have a 4-5 hour break in the middle of the day, but just picked up extra work. So today is now a 15 hour workday.

Right now I am waiting for an order, and will update as many games as possible, but if I haven't posted in Gameplay within two hours, assume no post until tomorrow.

Definitely drink the barkskin right away, it'll last an hour. And resist energy will last 30 minutes.

Kalas walks through the dormitory, picking out three of the bedrolls. "These were used recently, so keep your guard up if we only run into one or two people."

When the eggs are spotted, Kalas shoos away Doubtful and very carefully hands them to Anwar. "This is a rather large, strong breed of snake. I suspect you may want to train them."

Kalas motions Jinnivwer to the base of the dormitory steps, then gives her a quick word of command. What good is Mirage supposed to do up on that roof? Hiss to herself if she sees anybody?

Druidic:

Once Kalas is done prepping additional spells, he casts one on himself and a couple on Jinnivwer. After that is finished, he takes a wand in his left hand, and the enormous club in his right. "We're just getting older here, let's move it."

Barksin on both of us, delay poison on Jinnivwer. Wand of shillelagh in hand.

"Don't kill the last snake yet! Anwar, are you able to keep it from attacking us for a while longer? Given a few minutes, I can ask it about this temple."

To the rest of the group, Kalas says, "Tanbaru's memories of this place are returning. He says the altar room is straight ahead, while a dormitory is to our left, and a meditation room is on the right side."

The half-elf looks around briefly, "I'll need a few minutes to prepare some additional spells, but then let's question this snake and examine the dormitory. If anybody has been here recently, that's where they've likely been living."

Filling open slots with detect poison, speak with animals, delay poison, and neutralize poison. Casting delay poison on Jinnivwer, and hopefully speaking with the purple snake.

"Unfortunately not, Tanbaru. By the time I activate the wand, this fight might be over. I prefer to use it when ambushing people."

Kalas puts his full weight behind the swing, bringing down his club with an echoing thud. "Kill the tainted fiends. These aren't true animals."

I didn't figure out the exact encumbrance, but I as a medium creature I have a 15 Strength, so guessing that enlarged I can carry two mediums. I don't feel like doing the math though, so in the end it's your call.

I will use a scroll to cast reduce animal on Jinnivwer, then assuming I see the snakes when flying over with Tomren, I'll set him down by the small star, and land in front of him.

It looks like I never finished updating Kalas, and this might become relevant soon. He casts some extended buffs each morning: delay poison on himself, and longstrider and greater magic fang on Jinnivwer if it looks like she will be able to accompany him that day. If not, cure moderate wounds is prepped instead of greater magic fang.

Current, unexpended spells are cure light wounds, jump, and barkskin (2), with an empty slot at each level. Orisons are guidance, light, and read magic.

Am I correct in assuming the trail was wide enough for a horse, for the most part?

"Does anyone need help crossing? I can shift into larger creatures than Anwar, and should be able to fly everyone up there one at a time."

If needed, I will wild shape into a dire bat and carry the party up top.

Kalas answers the oni, "Shillelagh is a rather simple incantation that anyone properly in touch with the divine world can cast. Yet it is incredibly effective."

The half-elf waves around his over-sized club. "It enchants this club and makes it hit very hard."

To the rest of the party, he says, "This fire ring hasn't been used in several months. Probably because of the avalanche lower down the trail."

Mechanically, it is a scroll of resist energy (5) and I am willing to share. Kalas is just a callous jerk.

"Tomren mislead you, Doubtful. The range is still active, and we should prepare not just for lava, but for earthquakes and landslides as well. Dragons, ogres and being like this Tanbaru are common threats in the area.

"But most importantly, there are many species of birds and snakes in this region that have formed a bond with the land. We must preserve the land and its beasts at all costs."

"Have any of you worked for this Amara Li before? Is she going to try and get us killed like the rest of the captains do?"
