Female Human Inquisitor of Gorum 1

Sorry I haven't been able to post as of late. The custody issue is still being looked at, and it's taking up a great deal of my time. But I figured since I was still up after getting off from work that I'd check in with you guys.

If necessary, the DM can bot Kala until I'm able to return as something more than a shadowy presence in-game. Hopefully that won't be much longer, but I can't say for certain if that indeed will be the case.

The stench of these miscreants pales in comparison to the glorious fragrance of blood and sweat.

Kala readies a move action.

Grand Lodge

Female Human Inquisitor of Gorum 1

Looks about right to me.

Grand Lodge

Female Human Inquisitor of Gorum 1

My apologies for the lack of presence, but I've been dealing with good family issues (for a change). Can't go into detail, but it involves my son and custody.

Best birthday wishes....

Kala posts up as she stands guard over Marlak while he heals Bicor.

5-foot diagonal step to attack skeleton...

Kala steps up to attack the skeleton that dared assault her companion.

Greatsword Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Greatsword Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (6, 6) + 4 = 16

Kala follows with a cheerful smile.

Keeping an eye out for trouble.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

This die-roller really does not like me, it seems...

Grand Lodge

Female Human Inquisitor of Gorum 1

Kala follows, greatsword at the ready.

Grand Lodge

Female Human Inquisitor of Gorum 1

Rolling my attack with greatsword for next round so I don't hold things up.

Greatsword Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 divine favor included
Greatsword Damage: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (1, 6) + 5 = 12 includes divine favor

Swing and a miss, more than likely.

Grand Lodge

Female Human Inquisitor of Gorum 1

You throw a sharp pointy stick at me, and then try to leave? Kala seems almost indignant, before adding with a smile, Tease.

Taking a five-foot step to block the door, then attacking the creature with her greatsword.

Greatsword Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11 (still under the effects of divine favor)
Greatsword Damage: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (4, 2) + 5 = 11

2 squares down from the door. Should give me one square of separation from the closest creature.

Grand Lodge

Female Human Inquisitor of Gorum 1

Kala moves to enter the room beyond the open door, greatsword at the ready.

Fort save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

Readies an attack action with her sword.

Been having trouble posting this week.

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

Kala takes AoO at giant lizard...
Greatsword: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 (includes divine favor bonus)
Greatsword Damage: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (5, 2) + 5 = 12 (includes divine favor bonus)

test...

Grinning from ear-to-ear, Kala leans the greatsword she hefted against her and began a chant to Gorum. She shivered as she felt the divine favor of the Lord in Iron flow though her.

Kala casts divine favor on herself.

Grand Lodge

Female Human Inquisitor of Gorum 1

Kala nods in approval then readies her sword in anticipation of the dangers that lay beyond the now open door.

Grand Lodge

Female Human Inquisitor of Gorum 1

I am not versed in the arcane methods either. I'm more of a blunt instrument for Our Lord in Iron. Will this setback hamper your ability to fight effectively?

Grand Lodge

Female Human Inquisitor of Gorum 1

I've brought some as well. Kala shifts the pack from her back and begins rummaging through it until she produces a coil of rope. Didn't think I'd actually be using it to climb with, though. Her voice carries a hint of disappointment to it as she speaks.

Grand Lodge

Female Human Inquisitor of Gorum 1

Wow... work takes me out of the loop for a few days and I missed a combat.

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

Grand Lodge

Kala stood by listening to the conversation taking place, as the others attempted to glean useful bits of information that would aid in their mission.

Though she appreciated the effort on their part, in truth, it wasn't really necessary. The strength of Our Lord in Iron would carry the group through whatever obstacles brazen enough to manifest before them.

All that she wanted was the opportunity to cut down her enemies on the field of battle. To see their blood adorn her sword.

The thought brought a smile to Kala's face as she hefted up her pack in readiness to depart.

Grand Lodge

Female Human Inquisitor of Gorum 1

Kala glances from the elf to Mr. Bisby. Two very reasonable queries. Answers hopefully are forthcoming.

Her eyes never leave the man as she waits for him to speak.

Grand Lodge

Female Human Inquisitor of Gorum 1

Kala eyes Alduin with interest. I, too, count those weapons amongst my arsenal, only my devotion is to The Lord in Iron. And though I am also able to call down Gorum's judgement upon those who have been naughty in his sight, I rely more upon this instrument to make my foes snuff it. So saying, the Kellid reached down and grabbed the handle of her greatsword and brought the weapon up to rest across her shoulders.

Grand Lodge

Female Human Inquisitor of Gorum 1

A tower, you say?

A tall woman with fierce eyes of blue and long stringy black hair speaks up. She wears a wide-brimmed hat, a long leather coat, and sitting at her feet is a well-made backpack and a large sword.

Is it perilous?

Here's Aerodus' back story. My apologies for taking so long to put it up. Enjoy!

Background:

Aerodus Voralis does not know anything concerning his parents or his lineage, nor does he care to. He grew up alone on the streets, abandoned by people too ashamed to acknowledge a tiefling as their offspring. This often led to him being ridiculed by others as he was an unpopular overweight child. After being continually harassed by bullies, Aerodus began training himself in physical combat, seeking a way to take advantage of his freakish size. Using his newfound strength, he bullied his way into a gang, killing the leader's enforcer to earn his spot. He was content in this role until the gang fell victim to the blight that curses Westcrown, the shadow beasts. Aerodus was nearly killed but he was saved by the mysterious "Bluehood" and the Westcrown Shadow Hunters. Impressed with his size and strength, the bounty hunters took him in and furthered his education. He learned discipline and order, qualities his old street crew lacked. And in assisting the hunters, Aerodus developed an appreciation for the value of earning money, as opposed to taking it through force as he had done in the past. In time, he became a devout Abadaran and with that came the realization that even as Abadar the Gold-Fisted protected The First Vault, so too must he protect Westcrown. And if he could earn a little coin while doing it, then so much the better.

Spoiler:
Well, if I have to choose....

I like the at will 0-level spell (why I chose guidance) but an additional +2 to saves vs. mind-affecting effects that'll stack with still mind is pretty nifty.

I'll stick with the 0-level spell guidance.

1d100 ⇒ 82
1d100 ⇒ 59
1d100 ⇒ 7

Spoiler:

I figured since he had to take the Infernal Bastard trait, the variant ability he would normally get was a non-issue since he doesn't get the darkness spell-like ability since he gets an at will 0-level spell in its place. I actually took the Fiendish Heritage feat more for fluff than actual crunch (The ogre mage aspect is why he's so massive, though he would look more like Michael Clarke Duncan playing the Kingpin in the Daredevil movie). If it will cause problems I can make him human. The alignment is a non-issue; I'll make it LG instead of LN.

Grand Lodge

Here's my character. I'll post his background and stuff later on.

Aerodus Voralis:

Aerodus Voralis

Traits Infernal Bastard, Nonchalant Thuggery (+4 to Bluff checks avoid notice of his aggressive actions)
Languages Common (Taldane), Infernal
SQ graceful grappler

Appearance & Personality:

Aerodus is a mountain of flesh. Standing at an impressive 6 feet 6 inches in height and weighing close to 300 lbs, Aerodus by all appearances seems obese. But due to both his physical training and fiendish heritage, what many consider fat and flab is actually muscle.
Aerodus, while not very smart, is frightfully cunning. He understands that when people look at him, they see a simple disgusting thug. And in many instances he encourages this belief. Those who manage to bypass his facade find that Aerodus is extremely loyal and respectful of those that see him as more than just his appearance and profession.

Role:

Dispite his girth, Aerodus is quite nimble. He acts as a skirmisher, moving to intercept and grapple those that he deems "squishy" (usually those that he knows are spellcasters like sorcerors and wizards).

EDIT: changed his alignment as per the DM; also changed traits - Reactionary has now become Nonchalant Thuggery as that actually fits him better.

I would like to try my hand at playing this AP. I looking at playing a monk. Soon as I'm done adjusting him to your requirements, I'll post him up.

As for your little get together, yes, please do congregate. The more... the merrier. Smell that perfume? That's not perfume, it's a poisonous nerve gas! (PRPG poison rules, lol)

Have a nice day.

Damian Coldshadows, Hand of Pharasma

Dog of Taldor, perhaps what you require is a more...formal introduction?

That I even acknowledge you is distasteful enough, but the use of such a cheap and utterly ineffective means of mass extermination...?

Your complete lack of creativity is a symptom that has been well known for some time and a reason your empire is in such decline.

Another Chelaxian detaches from a nearby shadow. Dressed in finely appointed robes of black adorned with red symbols of The Prince of Darkness, the guest moved silently amongst the others, his purple eyes darting to and fro, looking to see if any other intruders were lurking about.

When he was done performing his patrol of the area, he returned to the shadows once again, his hands not too far from the temple swords he kept hidden amidst his robes.
