A friend found the answer: 2nd page of the playing a card section
"If you are instructed to play, reveal, display, reload, discard, recharge, bury, banish, or otherwise manipulate a card, that card must come from your hand unless you are activating a power on a displayed card, in which case you activate it with the displayed card instead."
1st question:
I vaguely remember discarding only working on cards in hand (and displayed cards are not in hand), but couldn't locate a definitive answer in the rules, apologies. 2nd question:

If it's intended that from the start of Crimson there is a massive number of blessings to acquire, and lots of hour power variety, then I love it.
Can someone please send me pics of the character cards Drelm and Channa Ti? I received the Base Set from my subscription, but customer service said due to a hiccup in the system I didn't receive the Character Add-on Deck with it (which they are sending soon, but won't arrive by Sunday). My friends and I are going to play Sunday. I've seen all the character cards except for Drelm and Channa Ti. I prefer to play clerics / support characters:

I received PACG: Mummy's Mask in the mail, with included Promo cards for being a subscriber. However, I did not receive PACG: Mummy's Mask: Character Add-on Deck alongside it. I checked my subscription status to see if it was following the Base Set I received, but I see no mention of it anywhere, not even in the upcoming shipments. It looks like it was just skipped, or I misunderstood thinking I would get it when starting a subscription with the Base Set. I have NOT been billed for PACG: Mummy's Mask: Character Add-on Deck, but would like to billed for it and have it shipped to me as soon as possible. Can you please bill me and ship it ASAP, or should I order it individually? I don't mind paying full price vs the %20 off subscriber price for it. I'd simply like to buy and receive it ASAP so my friends and I can start the set. We are super excited for it! Thank you so much for your help, and for the awesome PACG Games!!
I haven't received my Character Add-On Deck either, but I did receive the Base Set. Are we supposed to get the Base Set and the Character Add-On Deck together? Some people got both it seems. I did receive 4 promo cards: Tup, Miau Pahket, Reta Bigbad, Goblin Golem, which people have said come from the Character Add-On Deck (that I don't have) and not the Base Set?
I'm really interested in both decks. and I like to see the character sheets before I buy the deck of course.
You'd be wise to stay away from the shopkeeper's daughter and tough to get past the blacksmith's son. I look forward to playing it next year. Although I'm not sure I'll really play it over the real thing, but maybe once I try the digital version I'll love it.
So the real translation I get from this announcement is, "people are not buying Wrath of the Righteous and its Adventure Decks as fast as its being released, so therefor we're putting Mummy's mask on hold." My friends and I have been playing PACG from the start. Since RotR, each time a new Adventure Deck is released my group completes it before the next is available. I understand some groups may not be able to meet up often enough to stay caught up with the releases and they lag behind, or maybe they just enjoy a slower pace, but a decision to slow releases based on these slower groups makes no sense to me. I'm always ready to buy the next base set and all decks to come with it, as are all your dedicated fans, so what does make sense to me is supporting those who have continued to support you most over the years by giving us what we want to buy as soon as you can / it's ready. The industry is becoming more and more saturated. Hard to tell if the same people telling you guys to hold off will be exactly the same ones that have moved onto other systems by the time you do actually release. Couldn't agree more with Troymk1. Your dedicated fans who are waiting for the new set are ready to buy it now, and have supported you more than those still on the earlier sets. So I guess Mummy's Mask in February simply isn't profitable enough because there aren't enough people who are ready to buy it on release. A sad announcement/blog for the serious PACG fans like myself, and the rest of you guys.
on the Pre-Order section of the Paizo store there is artwork for the class decks that when looked at each says they include the iconic character (of that class) plus 3 new characters. I swear I read a post from one of Paizo's team saying they were only doing 3 characters per class deck this year. So is the box art on the pre-order for these decks just placeholder art, or will there really be 4 characters in each class deck? |
