You could say that your player casts a spell, or uses his psychic abilities to affect the eyes of anyone who looks at him, or maybe it uses a physical cloak with microscopic screens that project what's happening behind him. That sort of thing. I have a PFS character, a Dwarf Barbarian/Rogue/Shadowdancer...part of his "schtick" is he's obscenely fat. I intend on "cloning" him over into the future of Starfinder, so in this example he will be "so fat that light bends around him" (ala similar to gravitational forces cause light to bend around a black hole).
I predict that the AP will end by the party, flying this doomsday weapon (painted all matte black inside and out) into a sun while a group of Shirren listen (at a safe interplanetary distance) to Disaster Area. ****

In my opinion that is a very subtle way of bringing to light Navasi's thoughts of self-identity. She is willing to basically cast aside her very identity not simply to just avoid being captured, but to honor this person that held such an important place in her heart. Sorry, this also seemed more "Dread Pirate Roberts" to me... JoelF847 wrote:
That perspective DOES take on the creep vibe...but "As you wish" The important thing to remember is that this is a game. Iconics/Pregens are just easily re-skinnable toons when used in play. Play them how you will, back story is easily ignored or explored depending on a person's preference and imagination. I've never read anything which stated or even suggested an iconic's sexuality to me even on the Pathfinder side, but I've never cared. It is unimportant to my game...I didn't even read it in this character's.

Perhaps in place of the various Faction Mission types we have had over the course of PFS; say that SFS has 6 factions, after a mission is given (scenario intro) allow a party to be "courted" by 3-6 of those Factions to perform a "side job" for that Faction, which the Entire Party decides on. Following the completion of the job players receive their reward, perhaps greater rewards for players if the Faction who they performed the job for was the Faction which they are currently aligned with, or less if it was for one they were diametrically opposed to. Example (Using PFS): Players are charged to travel to an outpost on Azlant Ridge. Both the Andoran and Cheliax factions offer jobs to the party: the Andorans request the party's assistance with rescuing an Eagle Knight who had been captured and sold into slavery and is working somewhere nearby; the Cheliaxians request that the party contact a slave trafficking network, who have a fresh supply of halflings, and make a purchasing deal for them. Generate Faction Influence Points based on Mission Success; in the scenario above an Andoran Faction Member who participated in a group who chose the Chelaxian job, would gain perhaps +1 Cheliax Influence but lose -1 Andoran Influence, while a Grand Lodge Faction Member might gain +1 Cheliax Influence and a Cheliax Faction Member would gain +2 Influence. Influence could later be used for favors/discounts/Diplomacy/etc.

I recognize that I had some harsh criticisms and such at the time, but I'd agree with the above suggestion... Perhaps an RPG Superstar All Star's contest...invite back the #5-8 from the past Seasons for a new round of contest...change the prize or change the challenges...but that could be entertaining as well. I for one have never had the opportunity for publication beyond the first contest due to my real world life and concerns, but my RPG love has never died and my participation with Pathfinder has also continued, being a former Venture Officer and regular home and Society GM.
GM CC and Jimmy please note this... Spoiler: Jimmy Bodrick wrote: Jimmy draws his sword as he steps forward, and his sword catches on fire when he says "Jimmy flames!" FYI, this was recently pointed out to me in regards to Pathfinder Society... Command Word: If no activation method is suggested either in the magic item description or by the nature of the item, assume that a command word is needed to activate it. Command word activation means that a character speaks the word and the item activates. No other special knowledge is needed. A command word can be a real word, but when this is the case, the holder of the item runs the risk of activating the item accidentally by speaking the word in normal conversation. More often, the command word is some seemingly nonsensical word, or a word or phrase from an ancient language no longer in common use. Activating a command word magic item is a standard action and does not provoke attacks of opportunity. AND Activation: Usually a character benefits from a magic weapon in the same way a character benefits from a mundane weapon—by wielding (attacking with) it. If a weapon has a special ability that the user needs to activate, then the user usually needs to utter a command word (a standard action). A character can activate the special abilities of 50 pieces of ammunition at the same time, assuming each piece has identical abilities. I hate to be a party pooper...

Council Chairman wrote: I shouldn't answer anything as I go to bed. But, why are you paying for the scrolls if you have the scribe scroll feat? Other than the ink, there shouldn't be a cost. Am I missing something? In Pathfinder there is a gold piece cost attached to any crafting performed (scrolls ostensibly to cover cost of magic paper and ink) versus the D&D 3.X systems which had an XP cost. It is just part of the crafting rules.
Spoiler: Council Chairman wrote: Rules Question I would say yes. However in fairness steps would need to be taken. "Grapple Once you are grappling an opponent, a successful check allows you to continue grappling the foe, and also allows you to perform one of the following actions (as part of the standard action spent to maintain the grapple). Move: You can move both yourself and your target up to half your speed. At the end of your movement, you can place your target in any square adjacent to you. If you attempt to place your foe in a hazardous location, such as in a wall of fire or over a pit, the target receives a free attempt to break your grapple with a +4 bonus." Pinned: A pinned creature is tightly bound and can take few actions. A pinned creature cannot move and is denied its Dexterity bonus.. A pinned character also takes an additional –4 penalty to his Armor Class. A pinned creature is limited in the actions that it can take. A pinned creature can always attempt to free itself, usually through a combat maneuver check or Escape Artist check. A pinned creature can take verbal and mental actions, but cannot cast any spells that require a somatic or material component. A pinned character who attempts to cast a spell or use a spell-like ability must make a concentration check (DC 10 + grappler's CMB + spell level) or lose the spell. Pinned is a more severe version of grappled, and their effects do not stack. I would argue that to change the position of your grappled foe will require a grapple check for MOVE, in order to make them PRONE, as there is no assumption of a change between standing or prone by virtue of the grapple itself (unlike 3.x editions) and any other forcible movement of an opponent requires a CMB/CMD check (Push, Drag, Bull Rush, etc). Once the move to prone has been done following a successful pin I would say yes they can stack and happen quicker if multiple grapplers are involved.
Council Chairman wrote: Palaveen tries to punch you as attempt (and fail) at grappling him. However, Palaveen is rather clumsy and misses badly. Is palaveen armed with a weapon or gauntlet, have the unarmed strike feat, or possessing a natural attack? Otherwise he cannot take an attack of opportunity as he does not have anything to threaten with as he is not "armed"
Ability Score Damage, Penalty, and Drain
For every 2 points of damage you take to a single ability, apply a –1 penalty to skills and statistics listed with the relevant ability. If the amount of ability damage you have taken equals or exceeds your ability score, you immediately fall unconscious until the damage is less than your ability score. The only exception to this is your Constitution score. If the damage to your Constitution is equal to or greater than your Constitution score, you die. Unless otherwise noted, damage to your ability scores is healed at the rate of 1 per day to each ability score that has been damaged. Ability damage can be healed through the use of spells, such as lesser restoration.

Fervently disagree. He is not blinded, that has a whole different set of conditions and modifiers. In the darkness they have full concealment so he can see them but is unsure exactly where they are. Invisible attackers could still attack but the wolves arent invisible. If they were in a second square where they threatened ok. After Jimmy backed out of the room Domino would have come out of delay to not stay near potential enemies coming out of a room, he stays away from melee as a buff character. If he can't undelay then obviously the tiefling must have moved to where i could be seen outside the door. Ill post further in 2.5 hrs after work.
Point of note since it has come up at a few PFS game days locally and in Jacksonville... Ability Damage in Pathfinder works differently than 3.5 (hence the issues), in Pathfinder you take a -1 penalty for every 2 points of damage regardless of starting statistic. Unlike 3.x which reduced the effective stat immediately. Just a heads up in case.

It is very black now.

Entangled: The character is ensnared. Being entangled impedes movement, but does not entirely prevent it unless the bonds are anchored to an immobile object or tethered by an opposing force. An entangled creature moves at half speed, cannot run or charge, and takes a –2 penalty on all attack rolls and a –4 penalty to Dexterity. An entangled character who attempts to cast a spell must make a concentration check (DC 15 + spell level) or lose the spell.
Beazy, The Menacing ability. It increases the flanking bonus by +2 for allies flanking a creature adjacwnt. There is no type to the bonus or increase, though being same cause, I've never had 2 people with the ability at the table. I don't think it should stack because it is the same cause, but you should probably call it.

Ok, I was incorrect. I have GMed Glass River but not played it, if you'd still have me. That was back in November so I really don't remember it off hand. I can bring in a 3rd lvl Archer or 3rd lvl Cavalier...this scenario I'd prefer the archer. Or 2nd Lvl Bard-barian a melee focused Shoanti Bard. Joe
