Pathfinder 1 Ensorcelled Mercy - Does it work on clouds and / or objects?

I've noticed that all other mercies seem to target a creature touched, which would suggest that the Dispel Magic effect might only be usable on a creature touched. Am I wrong? Can this be used to dispel clouds and/or objects?

Lay on hands (which the mercy class feature uses) just targets a creature. No objects or areas as far as I can tell.
