Stardust Heal: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 4 + 1 = 24

Jorah happily offers to use whatever healing instruments the others need to get them back to full strength. He then takes a look over gnome's body. "Hmmm, I'm not quite sure what's wrong with her. Stardust, maybe you can figure it out."

Jorah's familiar is able to quickly determine that the gnome is suffering from poison and may not be long for this world. He quickly pulls a scroll out of his pack and reads it off. "This won't fully cure her, but it should grant us more time."

Unless someone has a way to remove it, Jorah will use his scroll of Delay Poison so they can at least get her somewhere to be cured.

A strikingly handsome man strides up to the group, or rather floats, his feet never touching the ground. He is of average height and has a slim build to him, yet is perfectly proportioned and in excellent physical shape. It's hard to judge his age as he appears much younger than he seems, having a youthful glow to him. His hair is a light blonde, almost platinum and with a particular sheen to it. Bright blue eyes that almost seem to sparkle like stars in the night sky look over the group gathered. His clothing is modest, similar to a clerics vestments, and impeccably clean, covered by a mithril breastplate. A gleaming morningstar hangs to one side of his belt and a dark wooden shield is strapped to his back, emblazoned with a blue and silver butterfly, the mark of Desna. Kelson Bard character wrote:
I thought on April 6th it was decided that it was just darkness? Yes no? :)

Jorah had Daylight cast before the Deeper Darkness. Since they are the same spell level, they essentially cancel each other out and the prevailing light level returns. When dealing with light sources, only the highest level is taken into consideration. IE, a sunrod has no effect in an area of Daylight, they do not stack. So the Deeper Darkness negates all light effects of spell level 3 or lower, while Daylight cancels all darkness effects of spell level 3 or lower. Also, since sunrods are considered non-magical sources, they never have any effect in darkness created by magic. Light levels are a confusing set of rules.

See HERE for more clarification.

The sunrod won't do anything because of the deeper darkness. We would need a spell that is a higher level than deeper darkness.
