The Flying Tasthari's are back from our latest op and I just got our newest acquisition, a sweet little number from Castrovel, kitted out with all the appropriate transponders. You provide the ship to get us to a planet, and I can handle the rest of your transportation needs." With the latest AR update I've added a Tactical Dropship and a Drop Pod to Trace's garage. Level 9 Operative looking to fly the friendly and not-so-friendly skies and orbital paths :P ![]()

You roll out something like an armored transport, you're looking at what, twenty two and a half thosuand creds right? That sucker has an expansion bay though, you can slap a medbay* in there...though really anything that size you can pay another seven thou and just get an actual lab** installed..." OOC/Rules Notes

Now, having a flying cop car hasn't yet been important to one of my scenarios, and the HP on the thing are somewhat lacking for a 9th level character, but damn if it isn't fun! My favorite thing is messing with the passengers in the back seat who can't open the door from the inside. That was one of my first pickups too! I uh...got it...um...on auction? Listen, it's not rocking any active credentials at this point so it's not like I'm trying to pass myself off as a credentialed agent or whatever. That said, I have to admit I really enjoy it. Sure, I never quite got all the jinsuls shaped dents out of my fenders but, that's just additional character you know? ![]()

We didn't let the Acquisitives option our contract after the Scoured Star for fun, we did it because it was good business. Right now? Tara Nova keeps us heavy in creds and stocked with fuel and ammo. She's got our vote." ![]()
![]() (This is NightTrace posting as my 703 :P) Half-Elf Operative, Ace Pilot, pilot and defacto leader of a mercenary unit that was originally running guard duty and escort missions but had their contract optioned by the Acquisitives to bring them on full time after the Scoured Star incident. Known as a flyboy in general, Trace made waves and underwent a mandatory psychiatric evaluation following a recent operation that saw him utilizing a police cruiser to run over multiple Jinsul multiple times He was cleared, but not without seeing a formal notation on methods be applied to his service packet. ![]()
![]() Origins was a great source for this. We launch our attack! Oh no, a Jinsul scout ship breaks off and is going to give our position away to their fleet, we give chase through the drift! Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd, we get stomped on and with our last options being an attempt to run or go for it, I (as pilot) pull off a fly-by and we drill the scout in the rear arc resulting in a double-disable. Bringing a vehicle to any non-Vehicle scenario is a recipe for fun! So, I bring a police cruiser with me, and while the Jinsul attack in their own cars, I auto-disable one while the other eats a sticky grenade in the interior. 4 Jinsul come rushing out and end up forming a perfect "Arrowhead" formation, which I then drive straight over, with my passenger leaning out the window with a tactical semi-auto to finish one of them off! edit: Oh, and later on when we were fighting off two Jinsul ships in space, we ended up wrecking one but in the resulting chaos one of our missiles veered off and ended up getting a kill at a neighboring table :D ![]()

I believe I recently played this one and the enemies were very caught off guard when someone had just as much* (read: technically more) range as they did and just started shooting them back :P ![]()

If your "day job" is "I kill people for credits" you eventually carry that moral stain with you for good. That's not good for the PR spin for any of the factions of the Society as a whole y'know? That said, I do know a solid Mercenary unit or two. I've seen some people run under the Exo-G symbol as rough riders more or less, and I run a group who the Aquisitives optioned their contracts from temporary security work to full time employment post Scoured Stars." |
