Caster killing archetype, prestige class, or feat chain for the fighter. It's been years and they still don't have an option that's worth a damn.

Does Paizo have any feats that increase the "to hit" of aoo (attacks of opportunity)?

I can't remember if it was only 3.5 that had it or if Paizo also has it.

im trying my hardest to make a ninja scrolls-esc ninja, naruto, bleach, ect... now the standard ninja is ok for this, but i feel like having sorcerer levels would be a better representation for the charcter.

the few good ninja abilities are invisibility, mirror image, and smoke bomb, but after that its not very impressive. so i though how can i add in sorcerer levels without sucking terribly at my physical stats.

the best i have came up with so far is ninja 2/crossblooded sorcerer 1/fighter1/into ek with the sla from assimar.

it doesnt look like a ninja on paper at all, but it kinda fills the role i wanted, i have my ki pool, 4th level spells at 12th level with a caster level of 8, and a bab of 10. good enough for cooking mooks with aoe spells and strong enough to get my intensified shocking grasps for 10d6 + 20 no save (orc and blue dragon bloodlines). my spell pen would be 12, not great but not terrible. my only issue is that it doesnt feel like the type of character i would want to play on paper, but it fills the concept almost precisely how i wanted it to play.

so how do you feel about taking class levels and PrC's that, in terms of flavor, have nothing to do with your concept. playing a fighter and calling it a rogue for instance

ok so here is a question for everyone. im playing an oath of vengence paladin. im play in the pathfinder world and i am fighting gobblins. one of the goblins drops his sword and surrenders to me.

here is my issue. im in a part of the world that treats gobblins as a kill on sight nuisance. by the laws of the area im fully justified in killing it anyway, but ignoring a plea for mercy, especially against an unarmed sentient being, would be an evil act.

so what the hell do i do with him?

tie him up and leave him for dead?

carry him around like a child on a leash until i make it back to town to have the city guard run over and slaughter him, and do i sit back and watch as he pleads for help from me?

do i give him a slap on the wrist, and say bad gobblin dont do it again and let him go?

or do i take the point against my alignment, potentially, to give some speech and execute him?

im up against the wall on this one. so many factors to concider, and i may lose my paladin levels if i choose wrong.

for what its worth im a paladin of Iomedae.

has anyone fugured out a way to do this other then the arcane archer or magus archetype?

for the first time ever im going to make a character to be used in conjunction with another players character. we are going to play a ninja and samurai duet from the same clan. here is what i have so far.

both will be taking atleast 1 level of oracle, the ninja will have defness, and the samurai will have toungs. we will both take the waves revilation, using mist spells is our backbone for this strategy.

the ninja (me)

1-oricle
2-ninja
3-nija
4-oricle
5-oricle
6-oricle
7-12 ninja <--- after this point ... i have no clue what im going to be doing. i doubt that the game will last this long.

ninja tricks are

2: flurry of stars
4: combat feat
6: invisibility
8: mirrior immage

feats:
1 point blank
3 twf
5 rapid shot
7 quick draw
8 (rouge talent) improved twf
9 no feat yet <--- im thinking a team work feat
11 no feat yet <--- im thinking a team work feat

at 12th level my character will toss... 7 stars with a massive -6 to the primary and more as it goes deeper into the full attack action. but i figure in application i would be able to net a +9 bab+9 dex+flat footed -6. each star hits for 4d6. that would be respectable damage for a non optimized character.

i can choose to go instead with a more traditional ranged character, with a short bow and hit for 4 attacks @ 8d6+ str+ feats. but that seems boring.

so if anyone has any comments, feats, magic items or questions please i would appreciate the help. honestly ive played one rogue in dnd so im not to familiar with good feats for them.

i need to know, because if it did and they dont provoke 2 different aoo's then my monk im playing right now wont work.

please make it a short thread lol i dont want to have 500 posts of insanity.

i looked for it but could not find the ruling for dispell magic and SLA's (spell like abilities), whether or not they are subject to dispell magic used as a counter spell.

if i have a creature grappled with a harpoon, how do i pull it to me.

the grapple "move them" action makes me move with the target, so it wouldnt get any closer. its the same with drag i have to move with the target.

so how do you win a tug of war in this game? opposed strength checks? cmb check? just ignore the requirements of moving with the target? a feat or rule i over looked?

using the feat Hamatula Strike, i can auto grapple someone with a harpoon if i choose to. once grappled the feat allows me to either move or "make an attack action" to damage the person.

here is my question, would greater grapple allow the attack action to function as a move equivilent, after maintaining the grapple? and then would i be able to use rapid grapple to get a swift extra attack action?

here are the 2 feats

Spoiler:
Hamatula Strike (Combat)
You can catch your opponents on your weapon and hold them in place.

Paizo Peripheral

This content is from Paizo, however it is not part of the Pathfinder Core Rules.
See here for details.

Prerequisites: Improved Grapple, Strength 13, Base Attack Bonus +7.

Benefit: Whenever you damage an opponent with a piercing weapon, you can immediately make a grapple check; success means the opponent is impaled on your weapon and you both gain the grappled condition. While the opponent is impaled, as an attack action you may make a grapple check on your turn at a -4 penalty to damage the opponent with your weapon, even if your weapon cannot normally be used in a grapple.

Normal: You can only attack with an unarmed strike, natural weapon, or light weapon against opponents you are grappling.

and

Spoiler:
Greater Grapple (Combat)
Maintaining a grapple is second nature to you.

Prerequisites: Improved Grapple, Improved Unarmed Strike, base attack bonus +6, Dex 13.

Benefit: You receive a +2 bonus on checks made to grapple a foe. This bonus stacks with the bonus granted by Improved Grapple. Once you have grappled a creature, maintaining the grapple is a move action. This feat allows you to make two grapple checks each round (to move, harm, or pin your opponent), but you are not required to make two checks. You only need to succeed at one of these checks to maintain the grapple.

Normal: Maintaining a grapple is a standard action.

now if the attack action stays as a standard action, would i still get my 2 extra grapple actions to pin then tie up the target? and then would making that pin allow for pinning rend and other pinning based feats using the harpoon as my weapon, seeing as though the feat makes it available to use in a grapple?

ok so my tetori is built off greater grapple. duh.

but the wording is making my head spin...

" You receive a +2 bonus on checks made to grapple a foe. This bonus stacks with the bonus granted by Improved Grapple. Once you have grappled a creature, maintaining the grapple is a move action. This feat allows you to make two grapple checks each round (to move, harm, or pin your opponent), but you are not required to make two checks. You only need to succeed at one of these checks to maintain the grapple."

so im reading this as "once you grapple someone all grapple, to maintain, checks are move actions."
so my confusion is 2 things

one,if that Is true would that allow for a standard action to be used after you sucessfully maintain a grapple?

and 2, since grappeling only allows for auto damage no attack roll im 99% sure you cannot turn that into a stunning fist.

but what about the grapple its self, which is a form of attack, would it be able to qualify as a stunning fist attempt?

so i told her to pick up the psionics unleased, i think thats the name for the pathfinder book, then she said no i dont like psionics.

then i wracked my brain thinking what a good second choice is that's PFS legal. i came up with a qiggong/core monk, using hydrolic torrent
as "force push", with a temple sword. thats the best i could do.

anyone else have an opinion other then a caster hybrid, remember jedi have no verbal or somatic components in there force powers.

please, please, please, reprint the dragon compendium for your new system. it was such an amazing book, hands down my favorite from the 3.x generation. i would love to have these classes in PFS and pathfinder home games. this has been iching for a while now and had to get it off my chest.

you guys really did an amazing job on the dragon compendium.

beastiary 3 page 280, my new favorite race!!

i finally get to play a monkey, and a free excuse to play pranks on people!!

finding this race may have just been the best rpg event ever, (well IMO)
