Listening to the Tien woman, Jerod nods in empathy, admiring her empassioned words with all the appreciation for the craft only he could muster. As the others break in, each with their own claim to woe, a smile tugs at the corner of his lips as he realizes just how drawn together he and his comrades are. And yet, despite the sense of hope pervading throughout the room, he realized the task set out before them was monumental, and many of them may pass in the coming days. Even in the face of all the last day's whirl of blurred events, the very thought was unsettling. There would be no second or third rehearsal; they only had one shot, and the results were forever permanent.
"I know what it's like to lose a sibling," he spoke up, looking at Amaya. "My brother was claimed by an accident on stage," and here he smiles briefly, remembering the fonder memories of his eldest, "..but he did taunt that fate on more than one occasion. Live like you die tomorrow, right? he quoted offhandedly, recalling a saying his brother was often heard repeating. Then, he shrugged the thought away. " What really bothers me is the disappearance of little sis. I often watched out for her, even helped her get her first job. One day, she just vanished into the night. Shadowbeasts' wrath, I'm certain of it. They never even did an investigation for her, he finished, the sadness apparent in his eyes.
Then, he set his jaw. "I may not be a godly man, but I'll do what needs to be done to keep this from happening ever again."

Jerod accepted the water and cloth brought to him then began dabbing at his wounds, careful to wash his face first. Unwrapping his makeshift bandit mask, he tossed it to the corner of the table, and then took in a deep breath of fresh air, free from the confines of the sewers. The actor, who had been uncharacteristically quiet until then, trotted over to take a seat at the table near Pallius, ever the willing to help himself to food and beverage. Biting off a hunk of bread and chasing it with some cheese, he goes to take a pull from his drink while detailing his surroundings while he made himself comfortable.
"Not that many of them, are there?" He murmurs quietly to any allies seated with him. "I sort of...," he begins, then pauses apprehensively, "..just expected there to be more, honestly."
He looked around to see if there were a private location to change, being the type of man to never go on a trip unprepared. After his expensive ordeal with the goblins whom obviously had no respect for finery, he was relieved to have had the foresight to bring an extra set of clothes.

Sorry guys, I intend to be more involved starting tomorrow. I'll have everything up to date tonight or tomorrow, and check this post more often from my phone. I really enjoyed it when it was more active, it's just hard to get back into the swing of things after such a long absence.

"As much as I hate to leave them, there's no way we'll change their minds right now. It's for the best," he agreed, nodding with one last look at the unconscious men. "We should flee the scene while there's still plenty of time. Which way to the hideout? It may not yet be too late for Darius."
Are cloth sleeves part of their uniform? If so...
Jerod will rip off a cloth sleeve to make a makeshift mask to hide his facial features and start trying to disguise his voice for now...because he sure isn't marring his own suit. Do you have any idea how much good tailoring costs these days??

Jerod would prefer not to kill the misguided guards who are just doing their jobs.
Also, I'm slow to respond because I'm at dragon con. Apologies in advance.

"Yeah...I didn't really think about that until now," Jerod commented, a frown tugging at his lips. Raising an eyebrow with a sheepish grin, "...maybe they won't recognize me?"
"Either way, we should probably get a move on, before those Hellknights make it down here."

Jerod speaks to the man, lowering his shortbow in a display of mercy as the man drops to his knees. "You won't face death this day! You're just doing what you think is right, armiger, even if your hand is misguided." he adds, then cocks his head to the side, a sincere tone in his voice."Hear my words and listen well; we aren't your enemy! The darkness stalking the night, preying upon the helpless people while the rich sup in their beds behind the security of their wealth; when will it end?"
Jerod inches closer, hitting the man with a volley of hard question after question, with no answers in sight. " This city has caught a blight, soldier, and while its mind slumbers and turns a blind eye, the body festers and rots, withering away. How much will it take, how many more long, morale-straining years, before the shadow demons stalk the Parego Regicona too? Might something finally be done then? Or would it be too late to stop? Tell me, have you seen those abducted from their homes in the middle of the night, left to be butchered, or worse? Do you know that anguish? Well, do you?!" his words lashing at the man accusingly.
He quiets then, turning his back and while waiting for the man's response, he poses one more question.
"Tell me your name. I wish to know the name of the man who's life was spared."

Cursing under his breath, Jerod moves towards the guards. "Starting to get sleepy yourself, aren't you?" He yells out before beginning a spell. "It won't be long now..." Jerod threatens in an ominous tone, after the spell completes.

After consulting with Pallius, he agreed for me to cast it at E-29/E-30. So it should hit everyone. Technically, he could take a five foot step back, since he goes before me because I delayed last round.
Jerod finishes Sleep (DC 17 Will Save), loosing it upon the soldiers as a last ditch gambit. He yells out, "Pallius, you're in the way!" Then, he waits to see what happens before taking his next action.
Delay.
Is it possible to hold a spell like this and cast it later on that same round? I know you can hold charges, but I wasn't sure.
Male HP: 11/14 AC: 14/12/12 F: +1 R: +4 W: +2 Per: +4 Init: +2
Nooooo, Naeli, I loved her! Let's be honest though, it wasn't me, it was you. It'd never have worked out.
Comedic douchebaggery aside, it was fun playing with you; too bad you are dropping out.

Jerod begins casting a spell, hoping the guards won't notice him in the middle of the fray.

Jerod stops running and turns around, waiting for the others.
Delay
Well, that's interresting. So they just gave everyone trip/sunder/disarm but then one-upped them on allowing trip weapons with the newer added maneuvers.
Still makes whips the only ones that get to add bonuses to grapple.
Not sure if its been mentioned yet but you add enhancement bonuses of weapons and any associated feats when using a weapon with a maneuver as its special. A +5 spiked chain with weapon focus will add an additional +6 to trip attempts. Add in the property (agile, I think?) that doubles a weapons enhancement bonus for maneuvers, and you quickly pull away in numbers from someone not using a special property weapon. A +5 longsword, for example, won't do this.
Likewise, with the addition of greater whip mastery allowing whips to grapple, with greater grapple making it a move action you could grapple two people at once, since a whip's grapple rules state you only need one free hand. You could also apply affects like chokehold or whatever, from reach.
Perhaps these specialized weapons need more "mastery" feats that allow additional tricks like this with proper investment.

Currently we are very disjointed in our movements. I think we have some people moving towards them and others running away. The way we need to go to continue is West, the opposite direction from them.
Male HP: 11/14 AC: 14/12/12 F: +1 R: +4 W: +2 Per: +4 Init: +2
They moved around the corner, so I think we should just run away.

Nah, I am a trained professional! I talk out of my ass...
but if I can change it, I will, and cast the spell aimed at the corner of where they left. THEN, I will reply. Your call, doesn't bother me either way. It's time to run!
Male HP: 11/14 AC: 14/12/12 F: +1 R: +4 W: +2 Per: +4 Init: +2
Jerod answers in reply, "Let's get the hell out of here!" Or, at least, that's what he was really wanting to say, but thought better of it at the time. Instead, he just keeps on working his spell.

"We've been attacked by goblins at every turn, despite your claims to the contrary! Ignorance such as yours does little to dispel the beliefs that you know so little of what REALLY goes on in the city you call home!" Jerod yells out, grumbling at the wound, the arrow knocking the sargeant's gruff voice out of him.
He hunkers down, beginning to quietly chant arcane words.

Jerod whispers back to Zeke, "Find us the way out of here; we need to know which direction to head!" Then, to the rest of the party, "I'll try to talk us out of this, or at least stall!"
Breathing through his nose and remembering the stern sargeant he was for a play known as "When I Was In The War," he channeled his gruffness.
"Under arrest? Under arrest?!" he calls out to the soldiers, sounding outraged. "SON, do you have ANY IDEA who we ARE?! Of COURSE you don't, and you're lucky we didn't mistake you for the sludge-drenched green-skins we almost thought you were! He rails into them, not pausing in the slightest."Hell, this here, he shouts, indicating the large Pallius, "...is the famous Goblinskinner. And you don't want him angry. He's killed more greenskins than the lot of your years combined ten over! He's good at what he does, and IT. AIN'T. NONE. PRET-TY! He enunciates each word at the end with rage, as though they couldn't possibly comprehend. Then, yelling some more for effect, he continues, and in doing so never even gasps for breath as the words flow from him, his face turning red.
We were hired on by the state to thin the goblin menace. Why, what the hell are you lot doing down here?! Don't you know this is a quarantined area? WHO PUT YOU UP TO THIS?! I WANT NAMES!!" he yells angrily, then rants and raves, his voice echoing down the walls, cursing all the way. I don't get paid enough for this garbage heap without dealing with trainees getting in my way. This is going to cost the state big WHEN I TELL THEM WHO INTERFERED WITH THIS OPERATION!" he says, then pauses, catching a breath. He launches right back at them though, immediately after, "But here's a tip, free, on me," he shouts, and shouts some more, the words almost like a striking assault. "There's a pack a' goblins we been tracking for a while, I'd say thirty, maybe more by the looks of it, and unless you consider death your friend, and you want to meet your friend and discuss it over tea," he yells, his words berating and dripping with venom, "..I SUGGEST. YOU DON'T. STICK AROUND! CAUSE THERE WILL BE BLOOD, SOLDIER!!"

Drawing his rapier with an impressively smooth action, as though he were a practiced fencer or some latent action hero, Jerod secretly tried to recall everything he'd learned about sword-fighting, which wasn't much. He held his blade out at the ready, crouching in a defensive stance and staring into the face of the green-skinned humanoids. He put on a grim expression, gritting his teeth and snarling in what he felt was his best, most intimidating growl. "Come on you lazy dogs," he yelled threateningly, "..you have no chance! Best go back to drinking your sewage scum while you still can! If you wish to face death this early then so be it, and by my hand.." he continued, getting more forceful with each word, "you...shall.. "You're damn right we don't have time for this!" Jerod yells out in answer to the gnome. Grimacing at the prospect of having a battle, HERE, in the sewers, the actor realizes his already slim window of salvaging his expensive clothing diminishes by the second...and the blame lay squarely on that of the goblins.
If these goblins had any idea the cost of this cravat, or the trouble I need go to obtain my exact specifications of..! he began to think in anger to himself, when suddenly he took an arrow to the chest, cutting off his inner rant.
"Aghh!" he coughed, reflexively clutching his wound. The arrow had caught him in the side near his arm, his studded leather having kept it from being fatal. He looked down in disbelief and shock, and where there once was silken inlaid finery of amber color, now appeared a dark crimson, stained and ruined. He blinked his eyes, the battle sense coming back to him in an instant, but anger was not lost on him.
"Hey!" he shouted at the goblins, shaking his fist, enraged, as another arrow flew in but deflected harmlessly away, Do you have any damn idea how much this suit cost!!" Muttering to himself,"That's it...I'm sick of goblins." he huddled defensively, readying a spell, targeting the obvious leader of the group, the one that he deemed responsible.

Trying his best to keep his nerve about him, Jerod pushes himself up from the table, heading to grab his things from the bar. "Dammit all!" he hisses, as though remarking about the current Hellknight situation..but his eyes are clearly upon the entrance to the sewers. He sizes it up, scrunching his face as he does so, then casts a wary glance at the pounding of the door, as though considering. Heaving a defeated sigh, his gaze turns back to the trapdoor, its sewer entrance no doubt full of rats and other more pestilent, grimy things, least of which being the uncleanliness of it all.
Resolute in what would be less than his finest hour, Jerod warns the group, keeping his voice low. "We'd better make haste. The more they pound on that door, the less likely for a favorable outcome to Lou!"
The actor peers into the gloom of the trap door, casting a spell to shed some light as he does so. He falls in step behind Pallius.
