Samuel hitches his horse and heads inside the house. He holsters his sword on his back.

"That's what I've been saying. Let's get moving."

"I say we should be heading towards that abandoned house first."

"Another comrade joins the fray" says Samuel, rubbing his chin. "I suppose it's not our place to judge considering we're just hired help ourselves."

"What exactly are your skills?"

Samuel kicks his feet up onto the table. "I got word that the Technic League was riding out in the area we're heading into recently. They already got lynched proper so no need to worry about that. We should make our way towards one of the houses that ended up abandoned after the massacre. Be a good place to make camp."

Sam spends his time asking around town, getting a feel for how the wastes are about now - particularly the area they're heading into tomorrow.

Knowledge (Local): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25

Samuel nods along with the rest.

"Sounds amiable to me as well" adds Samuel

"Ok, I understand the outline. What're you offering us?"

"Capable and willing professionals" summarizes Samuel as he sits down to indulge in the free drinks. "Ones willing to head into no-mans land at that" he adds after his first gulp.

"At your service" adds Samuel with a smile.

Herman looks over to Samuel, shaking his head before putting his wide brim hat back on."Bounty hunter you mean. I never signed on to any job, it's the height of rudeness son. Perhaps your daddy didn't teach you manners?"

"You just shot a man dead in the street not five minutes ago. I'd say I'm not the only one with an over-eager streak."

"Besides, forgive me for doing my part to arrange work for our little posse here. I'm so underappreciated..." he says, now feigning sadness.

I'm here! Kinda waiting to see where the rest of the party is on what work we're looking for.

"She's probably just upset 'cause she thought she got herself a group of bounty hunters, 'cept now that seems to be changing."

Samuel nods to the other sheriff but doesn't otherwise acknowledge him.

Samuel gives a glance over his shoulder as they go to leave and sighs. "Hold on" he says before going back over to the table.

"Hey! Are you lot hard of hearing? We got work to do, c'mon. Haven't you heard it's rude to keep a lady waiting" he asks and kicks the leg of one of the chairs for emphasis, knocking dust from his boot onto the filthy floor. He makes his way out front to collect the others "Well boys, did you enjoy yourselves? Wrap this up, either the birds or the undertaker will be along to collect the sorry sod soon enough. We living have a pressing job."

Samuel turns to the woman. "Well Naomi, care to take the lead?"

Samuel nods "Right, well it's been a pleasure Naomi, but it seems we'd best begin vacating this here establishment."

He stands up from his chair and dons his coat with a flourish. "What say you, gentlemen? Shall we get while the getting's good?"

Samuel casually takes another drink.

"Is that 'Naomi Sugar', or 'Naomi' and you've just taken to calling me 'sugar'?"

how's the rest of the bar reacting?

I mean, if you ask me I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. It's your character, though. Do what you gotta do.

Samuel casts a sideways glance at the evolving situation outside but elects to remain seated. Instead he turns back to the woman: "We may be getting out of here sooner than that, love, depending on how the afternoon plays out. I didn't catch your name, by the way.

"Ah, I was concerned it would be something nefarious" replies Samuel, with only a semi-feigned sigh of relief.

"Nothing wrong with bloodying a few unwholesome folk in the name of progress."

Samual leans back in his chair and puts his boots up on the table. He rubs the rough stubble on his chin in feigned contemplation.

"Normally I'd scold you for butting in, but it sounds like you've got good reason. What sort of work are we talking about?"

"We already decided to cut you in on the bounty for the trouble. You could at least try and be grateful."

I generally prefer characters starting a game having known each other at least a little already.
