Umm... Gaseous Form is actually *really* terrible - it doesn't even make you incorporeal - it gives you DR 10/Magic, and a speed of 20'... so it still provokes from *everyone* around it...

Jarlaxle calmly tries to clobber it, as it flees.

Jarlaxle's skin starts to improve, and he nods his thanks to Yabatha.

"Thank-you my dear; I'd shake your hand, but I don't think it would be a good idea, right now - I like my skin where it is..."

He then does his best to aid with the Ritual.

Jarlaxle coughs up some blood, as some of his skin starts to slough off.

"Right. Let's keep moving; I would prefer to finish this mission, before dying..."

I guess we should try and purify the monument...?

Since all Conjuration(Healing) spells need to make a DC 20 CL check to work, that means that you need a Remove Curse against DC 16, then a CL check against DC 20 (so that Remove Disease has a chance of working, as it is a Conjuration(Healing) spell), followed by a consecutive CL check against DC 16. That means you are likely to have to pay for multiple castings, in order to make it stick. Mummy Rot is nasty... :-/

I am going to use a boon, here:

New Recruit (J. Dacilane):
Your team of Pathfinders sponsored J. to join the Pathfinder Society. In exchange, she is eager to assist you on one of your future missions. You can direct J. to cast a spell from the spiritualist list as a standard action. The spell's level can be up to one third of your character level (minimum 0). J.'s caster level is equal to your character level -3 (minimum 2), and her Wisdom score is 17. J. is a non-combatant, and she is considered to be in your square for the purpose of determining the origin of her spell. When you use this boon, cross it off your Chronicle Sheet.

Remove Paralysis is what I will be opting for, oddly enough...

Concentration: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22 Vs DC 19.

With a gasp, Jarlaxle starts moving again.

He then winks at Yabatha.

"So, I revise my earlier statement; the zombies go down a treat, but that mummy will be a pain..."

"It is always a pleasure to meet a true artiste. I am sorry that you have been detained in such a frustrating manner; could we prevail upon you to let us know what happened? We have been asked to do so by the Varisian Council, who are truly concerned by what is going on with the monuments..."

(I think I have used actual bard abilities only a few times.)

Gamin (the Allying Longsword) is an intelligent item, again purchased off a specific chronicle sheet, and subsequently 'upgraded' thanks to a (Gamin-specific) boon on another chronicle sheet.
