So I'll use a 4th level Pregen and play part two. Just let me know where to go GM.

I only want to use a Pregen because Jarek isn't a high enough level, and my OCD demands that I play story arcs with the same character all the way through.

If I play, I'll have to use a pregen, as I won't have time to level Jarek up to level 3. He's only 1.1 right now.

Like I said, Harsk looks pretty solid...

For me I suppose it would matter how far off in the future you wanted to play. I run games all the time in real life in game stores and could possibly have Jarek leveled up quickly, i just need a time frame.

I would be willing to play part 2 with a pregen, and just wait to apply the credit to Jarek when he hits 3, if you guys would be willing to adventure with a pregen.

I'm leaning toward Harsk. He looks pretty solid.

Subject: Field Report as Witnessed by Jarek Thrace, Hellknight in Service of the Godclaw.

Mission Success. Orders received from the Pirate Venture Captain. As ordered, did not attempt to redeem her. Orders simple; find an artifact related to Society goals (see attachment: Orb of Stars) and categorize findings. Hostiles encountered on island, a barbarous group of humanoids overcome by a cannibalistic fever assumed to come from a tumor found later (see attachement: Necrotic Tumor). Hostiles did not pose much threat, and group made way into the tomb of a pirate of history (see attachement: Sevenfingers). Inside, magical trap caused one of the members of the party to attack and bite an ally, suspected to be related to the tumor as well. Undead were present in an alarming number, future expeditions would be wise to prepare for the same. One locked door was not bypassed, no platoon members possessed the skills or tools necessary. Recommend further exploration. A ghast controlled the undead in the tomb, and was dispatched. Unknown if the Ghast was related tot he tumor. Orb was secured and transferred to the Venture Captain. End Report.

I, Jarek Thrace, Hellknight of the Order of the Godclaw, verify that this report is accurate on my personal honor.

Jarek shrugs at Henrikuaxian.
Evil is... an opinion, my little companion. There are many who view my homeland as evil, but to those who call it home, it is anything but. Do you think those who carved that statue believe themselves to be a plague on the world?

The large man hefts his mace and starts to enter.
They do not. But that does not mean they do not need to be taught the error of their beliefs. But armed with that knowledge, is it not easier to enter such a place? Knowing that you are bringing peace and order to those who need to be given such rewards?

Jarek calls his reply to Kitajo over his shoulder as he readies his mace for a downward swing onto the skull of the barbarian closest to him.
There are those who use the laws of Asmodeus to their own advantage like that, yes. But the true intent of the Word is law, binding and inescapable. A set of walls, to keep people from going astray, and a guide for those who wish to live with order and peace. From the look of your training I believe you are familiar with that concept, yes?

Jarek shrugs.
If you say so. If they are defending something else, then whatever they are defending must be pitiful indeed. I shall levy a request with the commanders of the Godsclaw order to bring the word of Asmodeus here. Several clerics of the Word could easily turn this place around and put an end to the savagery.

Yeah, I felt bad because everytime we almost got into a fight Hennet would get us out with a massive diplo check. I think that's the first scenario I've ever seen where there wasn't a single combat. Ah well. I'm hoping so too because this character is pretty much just a big divine beatstick.

I don't have anything. I only brought my combat gear, and none of my wealth. I will aid those efforts with my strength and magic.

Jarek nods imperceptibly at Emma, as though they've reached a silent understanding, and sighs outwardly.
What do we know of the interior of this place? I would not wish to suddenly find myself swimming in my armor.

He gestures to the others as he speaks his next sentence.
No matter what our personal beliefs may be, our superior officers have given us a mission. Part of the mission directives is that we work together. I shall not let one of you suffer in battle without my aid if you require it, no matter what our differences are. So have I been ordered, and so it shall be. I am a pathfinder, the same as you. That makes us brothers in arms this day.

The large man shifts under his armor again, this time confidently, as though there was a strap or plate out of order, and his movement put it back where it went, in its proper place.

Jarek replies to the woman with a nod, and pulls the chair out for her, his massive hand nearly dwarfing the thing.

Infernal:
Not at all, milady. It is good to see that I am not alone amidst lawless brigands.

The warrior listens to the views of Kaleena, politely letting her finish while absorbing her speech.
It is not debasing oneself to follow a being who holds true the same ideals as you. Imagine what the world would be like without order. Unmitigated chaos, where only the lucky few would have a chance at survival. Asmodeus preaches order, and law, so that everyone has the same chance at survival and success. There are those who use his teachings to further personal agendas, and to quell the weak beneath thier boots. I am not one of them.

To Henrikuaxian, he gives a curt nod.
You and I have an associate in common, a Halfling named Hennet. He is a wild one, but he and I manage to get along. I've heard of you from him. Well met.

Hey Henrikuaxian! Good to see you again. I doubt this character will be as adept at getting us out of fights as Lucky was, but hey, gotta mix it up right?

Jarek shifts uncomfortably under his scalemail, and grimaces.
Pirate treasure? By Asmodeus, why was I sent on this mission?

He glares disdainfully at the alcohol being passed around, but doesn't say anything, briskly declining if offered any himself.
If this is what my superiors ask of me, then so it shall be done. My commander would be beside himself, though, if he knew I was working alongside one of the sworn enemies of my nation.

He gives the Venture Captain a wry grin and chuckles.
There are those of my order who would look down on a person for not believing as the Hellknights do. I am not one of them. Every man has the right to choose his own path, and fight to make it so. That is the law of the world itself, and no matter how those who inhabit it try to change it, that will always be the one constant. I shall fight for my beliefs, just as you fight for yours. It seems this day, though, that we fight on the same side.

A single dot flutters into the thread, borne aloft by hopes and dreams of the players mustering for adventure. It sways gently back and forth on the breeze of enthusiasm, and all is well with the world. That is, until a man clad in full armor, with a giant shield and an even giant-er mace bashes the dot! The mace swings in a frenzy, back and forth, hammering the dot into the wall, smashing the little purple circle until pieces of it litter the air around the man, and the rest of its smashed, broken, dotty body is smushed into the wall, a new decoration against the white background of a new thread. The corpse of the dot flutters once as its nerves spasm one last time, and then the dot lays still, destroyed by the zeal of the iron-clad man. The man stares intently at the dot for a moment, mace raised high, daring it to move, and lets out a satisfied grunt when it doesn't. He hangs the mace on his belt, lowers his shield, and sits, waiting for his role in the adventure to reveal itself, now that the dot has been destroyed.
