![]() When Ready The group makes their way northwest on Rack road riding for about an hour when they come to the spot Janiven indicated. Map Notes:
Trees are thick and provide full cover Creek is 4ft deep The Hellknights will be coming from the south (bottom of map(red line) "We are here. Our group will create a distraction over there." She points past the bridge down the road at a large rock (Not indicated on map/Past maps range). "The rest of you prepare yourself's, and remember timing is everything." Janiven slaps the side of her horse.
Post where you would like your Characters to be on the map and what readied actions, if any you would like to take. ![]()
![]() Janiven and the others rub coal on there faces, only Yakopulio and Vitti opting for the butter. The rest of the group mounts goes outside to ready the horse as Janiven joins in Ravishar's conversation. "If you do choose to hail them, remember to do so after me and the the rest of the group make a distraction down the road to separate the troops. We have caltrops and other tricks to slow the Hellknights, but none of the other members are yet warriors, so it is important to split up there numbers." She pauses as she rubs her chin, looking for the right words. "Remember our main objective is to get Arael. Let's try to rescue him with minimal casualties on both sides." She then move outside to the horses and the rest of the gang. ![]()
![]() Amaya looks over at Phaedra walking into the hall. "Don'y worry about them hun, they're not known for there social skills. Besides, sounds like you have had quite the day already." The group walks into a rather small room, with bookcases and a large table. Janiven is standing in front of the table, covered in maps and papers. She looks up and addresses the approaching group. "Calm down my brothers and sisters, the new comers had nothing to do with Areal's capture. He was wanted by the dottari for rescuing a family from the guards inhumane ways of "questioning" some weeks ago and the hellknights must of seen this as a work of treason, and when he was apprehended they demanded custody." She looks around at the group "I am sure Arael will not talk, and we have lost the hellknights that followed Morosino to Vizio's tavern in the sewers, so for now the rest of our group is safe." She starts to unravel a map. "The Order of The Rack maintains a small holding here in Westcrown known as Taranik house, but their main stronghold is Citadel Rivad north of here." She points at Rega Scripa (Scribe Sector) on a map of Westcrown "Most likely, they are holding Arael overnight at the Taranik house, and will be transporting him to Citadel Rivad tomorrow. I think our best chance to rescue him would be during this time of transport, out of the dottari's jurisdiction (The city) and when the hellknights are in lesser numbers." She Looks up at the group. "We must act bright and early in the morning, I know some people in the Rega Scripa who will keep a lookout on the Taranik house. If anybody needs to prepare or handle unfinished business do so in the early morning, as quick as possible." Janiven turns to Sclavo "Speaking of Unfinished business, did the group decide on a name, but more importantly , a uniform? Tomorrow will be our first real act, and we must keep all out identities a secret." ![]()
![]() Janiven Speaks up "We will go with the plan to blacken our faces." She looks down at the black substance in the bowl and gives a quick smirk."We have coal in the kitchen if you do not wish to use that butter" Gorvio soon arrives with five horses and two pony's as Janiven speaks about the final details of her plan. "When everyone is ready we will head out, beating them down the trail. My plan is the rest of the crew and I will create a distraction down the road from the creek crossing. They will most likely send out their hellknight scouts on horses to investigate ahead, splitting there numbers. During this distraction the newer stronger members (The PC's) ambush the carriage and save Arael!" She walks over towards the kitchen sticks out her finger and licks the black butter, before pulling some coal out of a cupboard. "Any objections?" ![]()
![]() Janiven considers Fizzwiddles suggestion then replys
She smiles. "What does everyone else think." ![]()
![]() Morning soon comes, and Janiven wakes everyone. "Gorvio has left to gather some horses from his uncle while Vitti is finding out more about how many hellknights will be present and Yakopulio is keeping a watch on the Hellkinghts safe house. I am working out the best places to ambush the group and have figured out two options." She lays down two sketches on the table. "We can ambush them in part of the trail where lots of trees have recently been cut down and there are alot of stumps to hide behind, or where the trail crosses the river." Without looking up she concentrates on the map and her notes.
Use this time to Sell/buy any items, and prepare for the ambush ![]()

![]() Janiven grins cheek to cheek as she looks at each party member. "Thank you all, this means alot to me . Once we rescue Arael I think we will have a strong enough group to actually make change in the city" She begins to head up the ladder to the the street level when she stops midway "First off lets wash up, then let us rest up , for tomorrow, Arael shall be free!" The man hole leads to an ally in Rego Sacero (Priest Sector), behind a condemned building. She approaches the boarded up door and knocks three times, after a short while it is clear that it is not indeed a boarded up door but a disguise. The door is opened by a nervous looking man with a lantern, he ushers the party in. She points behind her to a hallway. "Down this way are the washrooms and bedrooms, Two people per room. "If you need me, I'll be here in Arael's room, trying to figure out our next move. ![]()

"I have a bigger task on my hands now, for Arael needs me." Janiven glances around the room, with a look of sadness and desperation in her eyes. "And quite frankly, I need all of you. You have all shown you are all capable in battle, something I cannot say about my current bunch, and I fear without Arael, our leader, we will fall apart soon." "I can house and feed you if you wish to help, but that's about the only payment I am able to offer at this moment." She extends her hand out in a friendly matter. "If you do not wish to help, once again I understand and I thank you for your time and ears, I hope you will do the courtesy of keeping are group a secret." ![]()

This temple is an Old abandoned Aroden temple. Through out the years, the Church of Iomedae has gained ownership, but from all your prior knowledge, the temple is thought to be empty, abandoned and forgotten. I think I lost them, but we still must make it to the safe house right away." She moves over and starts to move the bricks with the rest of the group. A small humanoid body soon appears under the rubble, with a long wood stick still clenched in its hands. "Ahh just as I have feared, we are now in goblin terrority!" Janiven first examines the body, then moves her attention to the structure above. "This explains the cave in as well, this goblin was trying to set a trap of some sort." ![]()
