I probbaly already know the answer to this but to to be absolutely clear (& pedantic) does the *story feat* count against your total number of feats alloted to one character? It is not a free/extra feat?

As listed in the story feats section of the Ultimate Campaign rulesbook (2nd paragraph 4th sentence):
"Anytime you gain a new feat, you may take a story feat,.."

Though one could argue that it is redundant, since it is already a feat, I would almost like the word *instead* included at the end of that fragment. Or something that describes that it _does_ count against your total limit of feats.

The Elven Curved Blade is considered an Exotic Weapon in the Pathfinder Core Rulebook

with the following stats (page 143)
1d10 Medium damage, 18-20x2 critical, does only slashing damage and costs 80gp

In the Ultimate Core Rulebook there is a non Exotic Weapon called the Nodachi with the following stats (Page 131)
1d10 Medium damage, 18-20x2 critical, does slashing or piercing damage and can be used to brace and cost 60 gp the only thing against it is that it weighs 1 lb. more than the Elven Curved Blade

A) I really think it should be designated as an exotic weapon
B) and possibly cost more than the Elven Curved blade?

I made an accidental purchase

please cancel the 2nd ongoing subscription

I thougth I was ordering the Bestiary 2

Scenario 1
A moderately high level group entirely made out of 1 Paladin and 3 Clerics decides to send the toughest of them (the paladin) to take on a clan of trolls. Before going too far in the troll lair Cleric A casts shield other on the paladin and cleric B casts shield other on cleric A and cleric C casts shield other on Cleric B.

Paladin(50%) <<Cleric A(25%)<<Cleric B(12.5%)<<Cleric C(6.25%)

In the description of the spell it specifically says hit point damage so whatever damage is take by the paladin half of it gets transfereed to cleric A and half of that hit point damage gets transfered to cleric B and so on.

As well during combat the clerics heal each other to keep themselves from dying especially cleric A who is taking the brunt of the damage even though it is only 25% of the damage.

Scenario 2
All three cleric cast shield other on the paladin directly.
How much damage would the paladin take?

Does anyone think the spell needs some revising?

Aside: In scenario 2 I don't think the deflection bonus would stack
Do the Resistance (untyped) bonuses provided by the shield other stack?
