I've been going through the camping rules and trying to create a flowchart. I noticed that the camouflage campsite activity states explicitly that it takes an hour, whereas all the others and the general description state activities take 2 hours. I think that the camouflage campsite is a typo. There seems no reason it would take less time, and it would create a flow problem for the character that performed it as they'd be off step an hour with the group.
Perhaps an earlier version had the system based on one-hour increments instead of two? How would this affect the math (your statistical skills are waaay better than mine.
I've also noted that the discover and influence actions of the companion clock in at an hour each. That might be by design, but it seems like you could rocket your influence with a companion and be the best of buddies in 2-3 days.

Not exactly. I'm not sure how high magic you want to go here - is a minivolcano acceptable at higher CR? Do you want effects that create creatures, or just hazards?

No idea is out of bounds. I like a mini volcano!

Okay Gang,
I need your help here. I'm trying to build a super arena for a game I am running. I have a grid 8 by 8 that will have separate zones with separate effects that can be occurring at the same time. I'm looking for terrain effects that can have an effect on combat that are constantly changing. Ideally I would have as many as 100 and wood able to roll Cent I'll determine what happens in any particular grid. I'd like them to be scalable by CR so that the arena can grow with the players and they can return again and again. I think some obvious ideas would be a pit trap, elevation change, any other spontaneous trap effect, and the like has anyone seen this type of thing done before?

I hadn't really thought of the how but it brings up some funny ideas. The player is anything but mechanically minded and I'm not scared of abuse. I'm blessed with a group that doesn't try and bludgeon me with the rules.
I'm probably overthinking it but when the cat changes from an animal type to undead it's skill ranks and class skills change (right? also it gains +8 racial to stealth) and I also was trying to 'deconstruct' the skill bonuses listed to get an idea how they came up with them and was unable to.
Example: Stealth +14 (+1 rank)+(+3 class skill)+(+4 racial)+(2 dex)+(+2 size)+(+2 ???)= 14
It's all academic really as I'll prolly just do what you suggest, I was just curious what I was missing.

I know it's not RAW but I'm thinking of allowing my player to take the improved familiar feat to get the ghost template for his cat. I'm having some trouble making sense of how the final build would be with all the additives and changes from animal to undead type etc. The biggest thing I can"t figure is the skills. Any thoughts?

I just logged in and was attacked buy the town guard and a wolf. I was unable to move or fight. After my slaughter, I respawned and watched the guard attacking PC's near by. When the fight got near me, I once again locked up. Sooooo I logged out!

How does this ability (healing domain) work when the cleric makes a cure scroll? Is the scroll empowered for free? Do they have to figure it's base cost as 2 levels higher?

I'm less than tech savy, and was wondering if it was possible to run this program on an Android based tablet. I'd like to buy one, but not unless I can have all my PDFs and this program on it as well.

A fifth level monk is immune to disease, even magical ones. Lycanthropy is a curse so it would still affect the monk.
My PC thinks that he's immune. He could have gotten a cure but turned it down thinking he was safe. I rolled his save secretly and he failed. I know this will cause a problem when he changes. Just looking for backup on my interpretation and suggestions on how to handle the player.
Thks,
