Here are some post release updates to this topic from the core rulebook. They fixed the untrained armor clause.

5th level:
16 Dex Wizard, 1st level Mage Armor
AC 21 = 10 + 1 item +3 Dex +2 Trained +5 level

16 Dex Wizard, 2nd level Mage Armor (reasonable, it is only 1/3 their 2nd level spells)
This is no good. The mage armor doesn't get another bonus unless heightened to 4th level.

16 Dex Wizard, took Fighter Multiclass, +1 expert Scale Mail
+1 Magic Medium Armor is only a 3rd level item, so not unreasonable at this level.
+1 scale mail (unless the 16 Dex wizard also has 14 Str, this armor is going to be +3 AC, +2 max dex, 2 bulk, -2 ACP and -5' move)
AC 22 = 10 + 3 item +2 Dex +2 Trained +5 Level

A little better but not much. This trades -5' move, a magic item and a precious feat for 1/3 your 1st level spells. I think I'd rather have the fighter types in the armor than waste it on the mage who at least has a backup option. You also have to have a 14 STR and 14 DEX to take the dedication. I think this is only really viable if you plan on going the battle wizard/magus way whole heartedly. Those points could be better spent in other areas.

16 Dex Wizard, took Fighter Multiclass, +1 Breastplate
Breastplate will give +4 AC, +1 max dex, 2 bulk, -2 ACP and -5' move
AC 22 = 10 + 4 item +1 Dex +2 Trained +5 level

Gets +1 to all saves, Bulk 2, -5 movement, -2 ACP (reduced once for Expert armor, again for Potency). No difference to the scale mail for armor but requires a 16 str to avoid the penalties.

16 Dex Wizard, non-proficient, +1 Breastplate
AC 15 = 10 +4 item +1 Dex +0 Untrained +0 level

This is where it goes into the toilet. When you are untrained you don't get any bonus for training including your level (pg 10).

It is never worth to wear armor in which you are untrained.

You could also get a haste effect from something which gives you an extra action to attack in which case you could throw 3 items. Also maybe you could get a reaction where you can throw it?

Just a thought.

What does it actually mean by "your shape changes"? To me this means you actually become an elemental and your type changes to that of an elemental (no longer humanoid or whatever you were before). If that's true then the issue is addressed. An elemental has the following features.

"Immunity to bleed, paralysis, poison, sleep effects, and stunning.
Not subject to critical hits or flanking.
Does not take additional damage from precision-based attacks, such as sneak attack.
. . .
Elementals do not breathe, eat, or sleep.".

If that's not the case, then what does it actually mean?

Also it states that the shifter is "affected as if by elemental body I" yet under the aspects it says "Your shape is changed to that of a Medium XXX elemental". Elemental body I can only do small elementals. You have to have Elemental body II to do medium. Do they mean you are small or do they mean to say you are affected as if by elemental body II?

A human with fey magic can also get a 1/day casting of cheetah's spring, which gives you x10 speed on a charge, and if memory serves for every 10ft over 30 your speed is, you receive another +4 on jump checks.

A year late but this is incorrect assuming you mean "cheetah's sprint" instead of "cheetah's spring". When you use acrobatics to jump, "Creatures with a base land speed above 30 feet receive a +4 racial bonus on Acrobatics checks". That spell allows you to "move a total distance of up to 10 times your base land speed". Not the same thing. What it is saying is you have a run speed of x10 instead of x5 for 1 round.
