Today we finished The Skinsaw Murders.

Spoiler:
When fighting Xanesha she eventually bolted, choosing to jump from the top of the tower. My character, a dwarven tactician, who was more or less undamaged at that point, leaped off after her. I had one shot to kill her on the way down...

In a moment of glory I rolled a 17. Managing a hit with a thrown dwarven waraxe, just barely. Rolling max damage I killed her as she featherfalled to the ground. But in doing so I prevented myself from slowing my own fall.

10d10 falling damage later I am at 4 HP, happy, bloody, and very content with a kill WELL earned.

There are points where I just love this game...

This happened in the last session we played Shattered star, and I thought it was worthy of posting.

My character in that game is a Sylph Ninja 3 / Wizard(Teleportation school) 2

Aiming for Arcane trickster.

Now, my character has an obscene stealth check. Somewhere around 20 at 5th level... but despite that he has trouble using it as darkvision gives stealth the finger... -_-

So he conjures mist... in the form of a wand of obscuring mist or just casting the spell outright and using alter winds to gently move the cloud...

We come to a bridge near the Ladies light. And being the scout I instantly conjure a cloud and use it to gain concealment to sneak across.

I know I know... overt much? Big cloud of fog slowly making its way across the gap? I can just imagine the cartoon version of this.

Well my character makes it across and hears someone shout WHO GOES THERE. He doesn't respond, I'm just a strange unwarranted cloud of smoke after all.

Then I hear casting... spellcraft check says its a dispel magic...

My character says "CRAP" and drops to the ground.

The dispel magic goes off.. cloud goes poof and there is my Sylph, nude, in the Burt Reynolds Pose.

He says "Hey Baby, how you doin" to the half orc female... hilarity ensues...

Liberty's Edge

Its kind of vague in the text. Does the arcane archer need to know what square an enemy is in or can he simply be aware of the target's presence and know that the target is within his max range to attack with seeker arrow?

This is the difference from a visual perception check and an auditory (Or olfactory... ick) perception check.

Liberty's Edge

Simply put does the 20% concealment granted by Blur allow a character to use the stealth skill?

I doubt it will allow someone to use stealth at will, given that you can still be observed even when blurred... but does it allow an initial stealth check to avoid detection?

I'm intending to use it against drow to help counter their blasted darkvision and its total brokenness in regards to limiting stealth.

Liberty's Edge

Looking at the pathfinder, then back at my old players handbook. The ability of familiars to deliver touch spells seems a bit vague still. Can the familiar move away from the wizard to deliver the touch spell or does he still have to be close to the wizard or in his square?

I say this because I'm building a mystic theurge and I want to know if my familiar can deliver heal spells without me getting in range of a pointy bit...

Also: If the familiar can indeed move away and deliver does flyby attack give the familiar the ability to fly out, touch, then fly back in the same round? Or is flyby attack only for actual attacks?
