Horgus takes Luciana's mother and gently leads her towards the mansion, grumbling as he goes. Just make sure you come back for her. And damned well don't tell anyone. Word gets out and I'll be swamped with charity cases.

Coming out to survey the results of the fight, Horgus pokes at the bodies of the fallen cultists in disgust before addressing Luciana. Might as well bring her inside. My saferoom is at least as secure as anywhere else in this damned city.

Horgus laughs at Wendaug's lack of grace on the dance floor as she lands in Verim's arms. Looks like you've got her right where you want her lad. Finish the dance off with a kiss like a real man[/b]

Hump, the food is at least edible, though I would not go much further than that. I suppose It will take some time to find decent help, Horgus proclaims as he works on his third plate of food. Be a good man Verim and pour the wine for us all. If you're going to wear the butler's clothes, you might as well play the part.

Checking the Vaults located beneath the wine cellar, Horgus appears satisfied with his findings. Have no fear about compensation my good man. A Gwerm always keeps his word, and I would not worry about my safety. I always keep a well stocked sanctuary, would be a fool to not be prepared.

Disappearing into the vaults for a time, Gwerm reappears with six bags of coin. A thousand gold for each of you, as promised. Now, lets see to that wine. I have a few fine old bottles I can prepare while you refresh yourselves.

Gwerm manor stands amid the destruction untouched. The elegantly manicured lawns and statuary standing testament to Gwerm's wealth and status. Bellowing for his guards and servants, Horgus strides boldly into the manor, only to return a few moments later looking dejected.

You might as well come inside, it would seem loyalty is not what it once was. They have abandoned me, and apparently helped themselves to my valuables while at it. There are beds upstairs and, if any care to join me just this once, I'll be opening my wine cellar. I must commend you on your service, you have manage an adequate job, above average even.

Miss Tallina, you will find the kitchen over that direction. I trust you can manage something more appetizing than worm.

Horgus scowls at Verim's remark, A fine wine cellar indeed, and I shall greatly enjoy becoming reacquainted with it. If we ever get around to going there.

From the doorway, where he watched the fight, Horgus Scowls, Hurrmmmph, If you two are done flirting we need to get moving. It won't stay daylight for long and I have no intentions of trying to survive out here after dark.

It's bad enough we going out of our way to visit a damned library, but now you're going to stop and talk to every waif and misguided crusader? We need to get a move on before something dangerous spots us.

With a gruff nod, Horgus gestures North, Yes, well then, the Gwerm Manor should not be too far away. We'll be there in no time.

I = Blackwing, J = Gwerm Manor, K = Anevia's house

Horgus begins to grow agitated with Aravasnial's suggestion. What are you, daft? What the hell are a bunch of decrepit librarians going to do against demons? Throw books at them? Ask them to keep the noise down?

Coming back down the ladder behind Anevia, Horgus' normally gruff manner seems to have disappeared. It's bad up there. Very bad, the worst I've ever seen or heard of. If anywhere is safe, my manor should have held. I've guards and good solid walls about the place. We should hurry there with all due haste.

Horgus glares at Tallina, Well, if you think I'm going to jump down that rabbit hole, you've got another thing coming. That loathsome, whatever it was, is probably waiting to put a few arrows in the first person that follows her.

Walking up to examine the wreakage, Horgus grunts in disgust. What is sad is the amount of time we are wasting down here. We need to find the way out.

Will: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

Eh, sure thing Missus, be glad to lend a hand.

You got sooo lucky. Horgus has a very good will save.

Bah, I'll pass. It's all I can do to stomach the thought of what it is these people might be cooking. I'll be happy if my bed is free of infestation.

Looking mildly disgusted, Horgus responds What, just as soon as we can get out of here as quickly as possible. This place is starting to turn my stomach.

Horgus scowls at Mia's find. Cultists impersonating crusaders? As much as I hate to admit it elf, you were right, just this once. Don't let it go to your head.

Horgus smiles as he pats Mia on the head, Don't worry about it Mia, when you are older you will understand, Aravashnial's prejudices blinded him long before he lost his eyes.

Growing increasingly agitated, Horgus whips around at Aravashnial's words. Rumors you were all to willing to spread with your conspiracy theories elf. Maybe if you had kept your eyes open, you would have noticed the real conspiracy.

Horgus grunts at Anevia's words, Odd jobs? That's what you call thieving and spying? Her wife is the crusader, and I don't know how she can turn a blind eye to Anevia and her companions.

Horgus scowls at Aravashnial's words, I still don't like staying down here any longer then we have to. If you had your way, you would hide in your damned library and point fingers at everyone else until the world came to an end.

Nevermind, You already did that, and you were so busy sticking your damned nose into everyone else's affairs that your missed the real threat.

After his narrow escape from death, Horgus is extremely flustered. While grateful for being rescued he still seems very upset.

I thank you for saving my life. As soon as we get to safety I'll thank you for you aid and allow you to move on. I know I'm not particularly well liked, but I have no desire to die in these tunnels.

At Anevia's words Horgus's face turns crimson as he shouts back:

The thief questions my personal affairs? A fine one to talk, does your wife even know what you are?

Glaring at Anevia, Horgus snorts in disgust.

This is ridiculous, we are moving way too slowly. Perhaps we would be better off splitting the group, with those of us more capable moving ahead.

If you think I'm eating roach, your crazy

Hummmph. Well said but we need to be moving. The sooner I get back to my estate the better.

Horgus grimaces as he strains to peer into the next cave. So, are we moving forward or just standing here? I'm certainly not going first.

What do you thing I am elf, another one of your damned wardens or a servant. Count yourself lucky we don't just leave you and your damned theories here to rot.

Gesturing back towards the wounded, Horgus frowns, If ther're going to slow us down too much, we should allow them to find their own way out. It is important I get back to the surface as quickly as possible.

Excuse my abruptness madam. I allowed circumstances to get the best of me. I assure you, you and your companions will be well compensated upon my safe return to Kenabres.
