My lightsource is Dancing Lights, which I first cast when we fell into the caverns. I didn't mention casting it again when we left the temple, so we can either assume I already did it, or I can cast it now. I also have 60' Darkvision, so if this is a Darkness spell/effect, it reduces my dancing lights down to regular darkness, which I can see in.

From out of the darkness behind Vala, a glint of steel precedes a spinning blade that comes out of the black like a falling star. That toss is at the furthest extent of my Darkvision, and just baaaarly doesn't have Cover from Vala. (top right corner of the roach's square to the bottom left corner of mine is unimpeded).
