Honaire flows down the side of the bathtub and stops at Estra's side. His form flickers, and the offal spattered across his body patters to the floor. A muted chuckle floats through the room, but his mercurial face quickly settles on a melancholy expression.

"She did so much ill for so little benefit. To turn against colleagues and family in the pursuit of..." He looks down at Estra, face more sorrowful still. "A lack of humanity."

He tears at the floating mass before him, limbs almost a shimmering cloud of green mist.

Honaire hacks down at a tentacle, but before his sword can connect, the rubbery appendage disappears! Thrown off balance, he tumbles forward, but turns the motion into a forward roll. He comes to his feet just in front of Estra, then bolts through the door and leaps atop the bathtub.

His translucent sword slices towards the floating abomination.

Honaire stands at the portico's edge. His blank eyes and swirling face move in stop motion time lapse as he tracks the fleeing figure's path.
His muted, indistinct voice drifts towards the others. "I don't think they'll return. Nor am I certain they had a hand in the spirits we've seen." His outline flickers, and he is suddenly facing the group and striding towards the door. "We should find this journal."

Estra has +4 to AC, +2 to CMD, and +4 to saves while adjacent to him.

He puts a cold hand on The Artist Formerly Known As Cudak Tanagak's shoulder. "You have talent, to move the half-dead." An ephemeral, melancholy smile swims across the phantom's face.

"And you." He nods stoically at Daisley. "Would that there were more like you in Isger." There's steel in his muted voice.

Honaire wafts around Daisley. The ectoplasm on her shoulders reaches out for his form as he passes.

Honaire glides across the courtyard to take up position behind The Artist Formerly Known As Cudak Tanagak and Daisley.

"Back! Hold them back! As one!" His voices is a muted cry of resolute anger. His face flickers and twists. Accepting raging song.
Echoes of that resolution settle on his ally's shoulders, a thin, silvery film on minds and bodies alike.
As long as you're within 10 feet of Honaire, you get +2 to AC and CMD, and +2 on saving throws.

GM Doug: Honaire can and will use Bodyguard to boost folks AC 4 times a round, though he has to be adjacent to both them and the enemy. And, for the moment, the enemy has to be incorporeal I'll roll those in case it comes up.

Honaire prowls the upper balcony. When Gorf crawls his way up the wall, Honaire floats to the side and makes a sweeping "after you" gesture.

If they don't encounter anything out of the ordinary, the phantom dips his head and shoulders through the eastern wall to get a glimpse of the adjoining room.

Honaire's eyes are blank. The edges of his outdated armor twist and turn, but the ghostly longsword in his hand is crisp and stable.

Though perfectly audible, his voice is thin and washed out; it's as if he speaks through a thick pane of glass.
"I always come when you call. Always will." His head and torso blur, swirl, then reform facing the others. "I know your names. Mine is Honaire. I will keep you as safe as I can, given what I am."
His form blurs again as he floats through Estra, taking up a hovering position just behind her.
