I think instead of the usual recruitment post I'm going to try something different. The fact of the matter is that over the last six years, since our group start gaming via virtual table top, it has been difficult to recruit people who would be committed to gaming every week. I have no doubt that most people that play pencil and paper games online know first hand how difficult it can be recruiting the right people. Bottom line, we just want some good reliable people to game with every week. To share in the adventure with us, to chat with, to laugh with, and yes even argue with if it's something important. Quality people is what we are looking for. Not the rage quitters, power gamers, munchkins, or the gawd awful annoying folk that seem to lurk around like trolls under a bridge waiting to pounce on the next unsuspecting game that comes by. My vision is simple and yet because of my experience with pnp gaming online it seems almost impossible. A group of 5-6 people who meet like clockwork every week to play the games they love and who enjoy each others company. I guess I'm still optimistic though because if I wasn't I'd just give up and play some stupid mmo.

So with all that said here is the pitch.

We are a stable group that has been together for six years. We are all over 30 years old. We enjoy many genres, but fantasy is the favorite. We are open to playing most systems or games though there are a few we aren't interested in. We've played a lot of Savage Worlds over the years though over the last couple years we've become very interested in the Pathfinder system and the adventure paths. Our virtual table top of choice is MapTool, but we are open to trying others provided they are as user friendly. We use Skype for voice chat, so a working mic is a must. If you've never used voice chat in game before all I can say is don't worry. It makes the games go faster and the jokes a lot funnier.

Since most of the group works our schedule is tight. That being said though we have some how managed to game on pretty much the same night at the same time every week. Our game time is Thursday 8pm to 1am Eastern Time Zone. This can be tough for some, but if you love to game like we do then you make the sacrifice of a few hours of sleep that night...or take a nap before hand like a few of us do on occasion.

Now here comes the real kicker that has had our group unsure of the future lately. What this group needs more then anything is a good lead GM. Some one who loves running games and wants run most of the campaigns. This seems to be the toughest person to find. I'm of the opinion, and I'm sure many will agree, that you have to have a love of Game Mastering to be a good one. Probably tons of GMs out there who would love this group too, the trouble just seems to be finding one. You don't need to be the most experienced either. Just have a love of gaming like we do. That said we won't be bringing in new players until we've found a new GM, which just makes sense. Apologies to all the players out there, but we gotta find a new GM first. Players are honestly a dime a dozen, but a good GM is rare like a pink unicorn or a sane gnome.

So to sum up.
-Looking For: Lead GM
-Game Time: Thursday 8pm to 1am EST
-Virtual Table Top: MapTool (or something better)
-Voice Chat: Skype
-Game/System: Open for discussion.

If the time works for you and you are interested in joining a stable group as our lead GM send me a private message and we'll get this ball rolling.

Thanks for reading and good gaming everyone.

Our group is looking for a lead GM.

The group has been together for over four years now. We meet like clockwork every Thursday night and play from 9pm-2am Eastern Time. This could be changed to 8pm-1am if that better suits the new GM. We use Skype for voice chat, so having a working mic is required. We use MapTool as our virtual table top. It's easy to use so the only requirement there is a willingness to learn.

We are looking to play the Pathfinder Adventure Paths. A GM with at least some experience and knowledge of the Pathfinder rules would be a huge plus. A willingness to be a player in one shots/small campaigns from varying systems is a must.

If you are interested in joining an established consistent group let me know and we can discuss the details.

Our group is currently looking for one or two people to join us as game masters and players. You must be willing to do both. We are not looking for just players.

Our new game time is Thursday nights from 9pm to 2am Eastern Time. We are looking to have about five hours of game per week. At most we would play until about 3am at the latest. We use Skype for voice chat because online gaming goes a lot faster with voice chat and Skype is our preferred program. We use MapTools (version 1.3.b87) as our gaming table. It's easy to use and free.

As a game master we are looking for people who have game mastering experience, are willing to game master once or twice a month, and willing to use or learn to use MapTools. The genre and system should be something that you as a game master have a passion for and enjoy, but should also be something that interests the players. I'd say as a group we are open to most genres and systems though there are some we'd rather not play.

As a player in our group you'll have to be at least willing to try different systems and settings. I am currently running a homebrew fantasy game using the Savage Worlds system. Others games that are being worked on, but haven't started yet, are a homebrew fantasy using the EABA system and a homebrew game set in the Buffy/Angel universe using Unisystem.

We've been playing together for several years and our group dynamic is very important. With that said be aware that joining us will be on a trial basis as we'll want to get to know you as a player and game master.

Anyone who is interested can post something here or send me a private message and we can discuss the details further.

Well firstly this is a thread about what we'd like to see. I didn't see anywhere that they had to be great money making ideas, just adventure paths we'd like to play in or game master for.
Secondly I would argue that most of the adventure paths are human centric where the other races honestly play second fiddle and not everyone likes playing humans, just as you would argue not everyone likes playing dwarves or halflings.
Thirdly I would also argue that adventure paths based on elves, gnomes, dwarves, halflings etc would only fail if the writing was shoddy and the marketing for them terrible. Plus I didn't say you couldn't play other races in such an adventure path. Being the outsider looking in is a viable and fun character concept in any adventure.

Anyway, those were just two of my ideas and I'm not under any illusion that they'll become adventure paths or anything. They are just ideas I'd like to see is all.

There are so many good ideas and a lot that could become APs. Here's what I'd like to see...

AP dealing mostly with dwarves.
Citadels, orc fighting, axes, and ale!

AP dealing mostly with halflings.
Perhaps a slave liberation movement in Cheliax? Put those dirty tallies in their place or die trying!

Lands of the Linnorm Kings and Irrisen.
Ulfen are awesome, nuff said.

Numeria.
Dirty barbarians and spaceships. How can it be this hasn't been made yet?

The Worldwound.
There are just days when I want to play an ultra crusader and that'd be a great place to do it.

Galt.
I'd love to see a party try to bring some stability to the region or make it worse depending on their actions.

Azlanti.
I'd like to see a full blown AP dealing with their lost empire.

Andoran.
It's an interesting nation with a lot going on. Lots of modules placed there but no AP.

Arcadia and other continents.
Maybe have something like Kingmaker where you have to start a colony in the "New World" for your patron kingdom or nation. Or just a grand AP set to explore those other continents.

Sequels to the other APs.
With most of the APs it seems they end before you hit 20th, so why not continue those adventures...or at the very least some follow up modules to the APs for high level characters.
