Highfeather's eyes begin to glow, this time directed at one of the bandits next to Hrrm, He then begins to hoot and screech wildly, a mad look in his still dark purple eyes.

I knew it! Highfeather flies into the nearest tree and begins to hoot wildly, staring on of the humans down as his eyes begin to glue deep purple.

Using evil eye hex (DC 18) to try and lower attack rolls on one of them.

Highfeather, who had been pretending to be a regular tawny owl when the humans arrived, walks up to Dion and Rikket and says "Yes, and just whoooooo are you?"

Highfeather, who had been silently observing for much of the journey back, finally asked: "Yes indeed, what happened? What were those vile things?"

"I say we attempt to reason with them, and if it doesn't work my magic can... assist the process of diplomacy."

"What What?!, Hoo Hoo!" Highfeather looks quite flustered as the sword left him out of his plan. He quickly calms down. "Um.. no matter. Rikket and I shall walk next to the sasquatch. Should we be attacked I shall obscure the foes vision with my magic."

Highfeather looks puzzled, "My magic cannot help you ape, but this might." He then, using one talon, grabs a tanglefoot bag made from dryad sap that was strapped to his other leg and, hovering in the air above his branch throws it at the nearest mushroom man.

ranged touch attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Possible ranged increment penalties could be applied depending on how far away it is.

Highfeather lets out an ear-splitting screech as his flash eyes purple for a few seconds, looking directly at the mushroom man that Hrrm attempted to hit. He then begins to laugh wildly, screeching and hooting.

Evil eye hex, takes a -2 to ac for 8 rounds. If it makes a DC 18 will save it will only have the penalty for one round. Either way, I then use cackle as a move action to extend the duration for one extra round.

Highfeather hoots and casts mage armor, suddenly becoming surrounded in a translucent dark purple barrier of force. He then flies into a tree, closer to the mushroom men. Rikket snorts and prepares to charge at the enemies but highfeather shouts at him, I'll handle this friend, save your energy." The goat familiar looks quite sad and attempts to hide in some bushes.

Highfeather studies the vials, "Those of youwith opposable thumbs can use these, I'll cover you with magic while you're doing it. "

He then spins his head around to look at Caireann and says " Have you looked at your lower half, Miss O'Shea? Appears quite insectoid to me."

Highfeather and Rikket rushed towards Caireann and Hrrm. Highfeather hooted to announce his presence before perching on one of Rikket's horns. "I came as soon as soon as I heard what happened, Rikket had to wake me up, being nocturnal can be an inconvenience sometimes. We will go with the ape and the insect, this blight must be destroyed. My magic can help with that. Pixies, does this blight have any notable weaknesses?"


I'd be cool with a level adjustment, if it needs to happen let me know.

I updated my stat block to match my new rolls.


intelligence: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 5) = 12
charisma: 1d3 ⇒ 1


I honestly can't remember what I rolled, I'll roll again if needs be.

awakened animal rules.:
An awakened animal gets 3d6 Intelligence, +1d3 Charisma, and +2 HD. Its type becomes magical beast (augmented animal). An awakened animal can't serve as an animal companion, familiar, or special mount.

So I rolled for int and cha and raised the int to 20 through point buy. I decided not to add the extra hit die as it would make me a little too powerful for having 2 class levels.

Here's my application for an awakened owl witch.

backstory:
Highfeather lived a normal existence in the wood for half of his life as a mundane tawny owl who nested in a tree warded by a dryad. One day, however the dryad's tree became blighted with a poisonous fungus and the dryad fell ill. The illness could only be cured with a powerful herb deep in the heart of the forest, the dryad, unable to fetch this herb by herself decided to cast awaken on the owl living in her branches and promised him a gift of magical abilities if he would collect this herb. Highfeather gladly accepted the offer and now has growing powers of witchcraft. He now lives in the woods with his best friend, bodyguard and familiar Rikket the goat.

Highfeather is wise and slightly aloof, often talking to himself. He has a kind heart but considers himself above the "lesser", non-awakened animals and still enjoys the thrill of the hunt.
