He will not have the regular anathema of treating with Drunes (though they may still expect him to hate them and act accordingly).

He will have his longhorns, but runs the risk of having them removed by longhorn law/society if dremed sufficiently criminal or by an overzealous official.

He will never acquire his house plate armor, though I was thinking at 3rd level he might choose other armor, even plate though that might cause more societal issues.

He has no apathy toward bows nor preference for lance and sword.

Other than that he would be a biological longhorn, though perhaps at some stage, shorn of head and thus lose his butt attack.

I was thinking of calling longhorn pariahs “scurs” as this is a term for horn deformation in goats. Just why he is a scur would be developed and divulged over time.

What do you think?

Eh, never mind. I’m going to bow out of this game.

Yep, me too!

I'm giving you the option of picking a suit of armor and ONE weapon AND rolling

3d6 for starting gold and 2 d12 for random equipment.

So I don’t think you have to buy the studded leather and one weapon, plus you get a roll on the random equipment table.

For Hex:
Starting gear:
Spear
Leather Armor

Random Equipment:
Crowbar
Hammer; 12 iron spikes

Starting gold: 120 gp.

Longbow 40 gp
20 arrows 5 gp
Shield 10 gp

Rope 50' 1 gp
Backpack 5 gp

1 weeks rations (standard) 5 gp
Tinderbox; flint and steel 3 gp
6 torches 1 gp
Water skin 1 gp

I'll complete the character later today. What price for studded leather armour?

25 AC 13

Banded mail AC 15 50 gp
Full Plate AC 17 1,000 gp.

I'll post in game play.

Does this mean you have made your selection of players/characters?

Ok, so spear and leather armor, plus:

Starting Gold: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 2) = 12 12 gp

Random equipment: 2d12 ⇒ (3, 4) = 7: A crowbar, a hammer and 12 iron spikes.

d12 Item (×2)
1 Bedroll
2 Chalk (10 sticks)
3 Crowbar
4 Hammer (small) and 12 iron spikes
5 Ink, quill, and 5 sheets of paper
6 Lantern and 3 flasks of oil
7 Pole (10’ long, wooden)
8 Rope (50’)
9 Rope (50’) and grappling hook
10 Shovel
11 Sledgehammer
12 Small sack

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Rolling for epic longhorn growth - on a 1 on a 1d6 my horns grow longer and I gain a +1 to one attribute. If I fail, the chance increases by one every level until I succeed, at which point it reverts to 1 in 6.

Gods of keratin: 1d6 ⇒ 1

Blessed be! Will add +1 to Constitution.

I’m seeing a lot of rules being mentioned by different characters and have no idea if I’m supposed to find Starting gold or equipment in the basic rules. I’m using the OSE SRD linked in first post and the Basic Rules PDF I linked. Is that correct? Lachlann seems to be rolling for random equipment, and Raff has rolled 3d6 for starting gold - are they bard and thief specific or should I be rolling 3d6 for starting gold and 2d6 for random equipment?

I have no access to Carcass Crawler armor rules, but Longhorn Goatfolk are limited to Leather armor until 3rd level.

Also: moonsigns?
