So I was working on a character concept build and I noticed that Sustaining Steel didn't get any errata regarding how its additional effect for casting a Necromancy spell works under the remaster.

So I've been getting the urge to build a skillful warrior who hunts monsters, and after much back and forth I have decided on a Dwarf Inquisitor (Sacred Huntsmaster) of Angradd. Below is his build so far as well as his animal companion (both character and animal companion remain unnamed for now).

I have a character I'm submitting to a PBP and I just want to get some information cleared up about the Stabbing Shot feat and how it relates to Empty Quiver Style.

Empty Quiver Style:
... If you have the Stabbing Shot feat, you can use it with a crossbow or firearm, substituting a loaded bolt or firearm ammunition for an arrow.

Stabbing Shot:
When adjacent to an opponent and making a full-attack action with a longbow or shortbow (including composite bows), you may choose to make a melee attack against that opponent with a drawn arrow rather than firing it. If the attack hits—whether or not it does damage—your target is pushed back 5 feet away from you. You can then fire arrows from your bow normally, at the original target, or at another target within range. This melee attack replaces the extra attack from Rapid Shot, and all of your attack rolls for the round (the melee attack and the ranged attacks) take a –2 penalty. If your initial attack leaves you with no enemies threatening you, you can make the subsequent ranged attack or attacks without provoking attacks of opportunity.

How exactly does Stabbing Shot work? What damage does it do? Is it like using the improvised weapon rules for arrows and bolts? Or is it using the ranged weapon's stats for damage, etc? What about firearms that don't have similar improvised-as-melee-weapon rules for their ammunition?

I'm working on a pair of Aliases for a PBP, but for some reason the [.smaller][./smaller] tag after AC in this alias' profile isn't properly formatting.

So like many other people on these boards I've taken a crack at trying to fix up the monk (one of my favourite concepts, but always lacking in execution). You can find my attempt here. Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

So, due to a suggestion in my Weapons of a Monster Hunter conversion thread I've decided to build a tower shield and sarissa wielding fighter. I'm well aware this isn't the most optimal build, but the image is just too cool not to use; even if he can't actually wield both at the same time for the first two levels.

Race: Human (racial bonus to strength)

Str: 18 (10 points)
Dex: 14 (5 points)
Con: 12 (2 points)
Int: 13 (3 points)
Wis: 12 (2 points)
Cha: 8 (-2 points)

Phalanx Soldier 1: Weapon Focus (sarissa), Power Attack, Shield Focus
Phalanx Soldier 2: Combat Reflexes
Phalanx Soldier 3: Combat Expertise
Phalanx Soldier 4: +1 Intelligence, Weapon Specialization (sarissa)
Phalanx Soldier 5: Iron Will
Phalanx Soldier 6: Improved Overrun
Phalanx Soldier 7: Lightning Reflexes
Phalanx Soldier 8: +1 Strength, Greater Weapon Focus (sarissa)
Phalanx Soldier 9: Greater Shield Focus
Phalanx Soldier 10: Improved Critical (sarissa)
Phalanx Soldier 11: Charge Through
Phalanx Soldier 12: +1 Strength, Improved Bull Rush
Phalanx Soldier 13: Harder They Fall
Phalanx Soldier 14: Greater Bull Rush
Phalanx Soldier 15: Greater Overrun
Phalanx Soldier 16: +1 Strength, Giant-Killer Stance
Phalanx Soldier 17: Missile Shield
Phalanx Soldier 18: Disruptive
Phalanx Soldier 19: Spellbreaker
Phalanx Soldier 20: +1 Dexterity, Ray Shield

Suggestions for how to make the build better are appreciated.

This thread is for converting the various weapons from the Monster Hunter series into Pathfinder stats.

Sword and Shield = light shield and short sword.
Dual Blades = dual wielding short swords
Greatsword = greatsword
Lance = tower shield and lance (requires at least 2 levels of titan mauler barbarian)
Hammer = tetsubo
Longsword = no-dachi
Light Bowgun = stonebow
Bow = composite longbow

Now that the easy ones are out of the way let's start with one of my favourite weapon types the Hunting Horn.

Martial Weapon
Two-handed melee
| Hunting Horn | 30 gp | 1d8 | 1d10 | x2 | - | 8 lbs. | B | see text |

Hunting horn: Any character proficient in using a hunting horn treats it like a wind instrument. A hunting horn can be made masterwork, but both its weapon and instrument components have to be made masterwork at the same time.
