The proprietor nods carefully to Turion and shows him to a room near the rear entrance, though Nelly as to squeeze through every door.

The proprietor looks uncertainly at Turion, unsure about letting the great wolf stay in his inn.

Definitely gonna need diplomacy from someone on that.

The proprietor raises an eyebrow when the Elf states he isn't associated with the Concordat but shrugs. "Sure thing." He looks uneasily at the massive wolf. "Say do you think you could keep... er... him somewhere else? He looks quite dangerous."

The innkeeper nods with a smile while his wife brings out trays of hot food and tankards of chilled cider for you. "They're well, thank you! Though David has been a tad more responsible and las prone to wandering off, which suits us." He smiles, stroking his wife's shoulder as she bustles by. Then he turns to Turion with an eyebrow raised "What brings you here, Mr. Alagostor? I must admit we don't get many from the Concordat here. Are you associated with the embassy?"

DC 15 K local, +4 for Turion:

It is very rare for Avinoans to travel to the other nations, especially the quiet land of the Bishopric.

When you arrive at the Cozy Badger, the proprietor greets you. "Welcome back! It's good to see you here. Can I get you a room and a meal?" He looks at the large group Mel enters with and smiles and shrugs. "Or maybe a few rooms and meals?"

With the interrogation wrapped up, you head back to the Cozy Badger. There, the proprietor catches you immediately and takes you into a back room, an earnest look on his face. "Thank you. Thank you so much for saving my boy. I don't know what was wrong or going on with that mirror but he'll certainly never touch it again. And you are always welcome to room and board at the Badger, free of charge. I can't imagine if we'd lost him... I look forward to the day when I pass the family name down to him but I today worried I'd never see it... You saved us from that." His voice catches and he can't speak for a minute. Finally, his throat relaxes enough for him to talk "We're humble folk here. I can't believe that this happened to us. We never wanted to get caught up in something magical and secretive..."

DC 12 K local:

Certain villages from the northern portion of the Bishopric have a tradition where the oldest son fully takes on the family name when he comes of age. Hal is obviously not the oldest son of such a family as his name would be Donald Donaldson if so.

The innkeeper stands up to head back to work. "Well I hope you enjoy our city. Do let me know if there's anything else I can help with." He pauses for a moment to see if you want anything else from him before he heads back to work.

Henry nods and smiles. "Thank you kindly. My brother grows them a few miles north of the city. As for a bank, the Public Counting House of the Textiles Guild has an excellent reputation but you have to deposit quite a sum for them to open an account for you. Three to five thousand." He scratches his head. "I don't recall exactly. It's never been something I've considered. If you're looking for something smaller, the Bardi Family Merchant Office will hold smaller deposits. It's a bit riskier as they don't have the security or massive backing off the entire Guild." He shrugs, having provided the options and not wanting to pry into your financial state.

The man calls back into the kitchen while wiping his hands on his apron. "David! If your mother doesn't need you back there, come slice bread!" Then he hangs up his apron while a boy of ten with a more of brown hair scampers out if the kitchen and up onto a stool to slice bread. The man ruffles his hair then walks over to you and nods. "Sirs. Ma'am. How did you sleep? Alice says you would like to know where to make certain purchases? Most decent blacksmiths are near the guild headquarters. Books, chemicals, and magical items can be purchased in shops near the university. Many general goods can be found in the market. The freshest fish is sold on Anselm's wharf. The capital wharf attracts many charlatan fishmongers who will tell you a code is a sturgeon. You'll find the best tools and the like at Atticus' General Goods just north of the market. Is there anything else in particular you'd like to find or know?" He smiles warmly, content to serve customers and improve the Badger's reputation.
