![]() No Jack has a person inside it bar Karchev the Terrible. And if he is the "Jack" we are totally f*!$ed. Man o Wars are about our size but are just steam powered armour. They wouldn't really sound like Jacks. And the controller would be visible by the rune marks used to control the Jack. (Though there could be Koldun present too, if so we should kill them pretty fast also) ![]()

![]() Havar shakes his head and laughs at the Fell Callers bravado, before grinning. "Oh aye, boot their sacks and get a broken toe from a couple tonnes of steel and iron. Then poor Eoghan will have to look at those spades you stand on!" He winked at Oengus before laughing. "We should probably move out right away, if you all think we can find it!" ![]()

![]() "If someone can point out the plant I am sure we can find it. I have no eye for such a thing but Katherson as a Scout has the finest eyes we could ask for, so I am sure we could go get some!" He turned to the Pyg. "Do you think you can follow their trail after it being so cold for so long? If so it could be worth a look. Let's just hope they ain't got any Jacks with them!" ![]()

![]() Havar looks at Oengus for a second before shrugging and beginning to speak. "We returned the wee-uns to the Healer just moments ago. They are alive, if severely hurt. We encountered some resistance, in the form of a rabid pack of Mawgs. They have been dealt with now, so no need to worry about them particularly, though that clearing is now full of their skinned corpses, so best it be avoided till the scavengers have had their fill, would be my suggestion." He stopped for a second, staring at his feet, before speaking. "We found human tracks, the tracks of booted feat, and an insignia." He pulled the insignia out of his coat, holding it out to the Elders. "There looked to be a heavy flow of traffic and it was recent, within the last few days." ![]()

![]() Havar has never claimed authority. Havar has acted as Havar would act. People don't have to listen to him, he doesn't try and force people. If they want to listen they can. If not, it doesn't matter to him. He is a take charge personality so that is what he does, is take charge. If people follow they follow. He will do what he wants to do. I've never once intimated that he is of a higher rank than anybody. Havar dragged the litter forward, towards the gates of the Kriel. He nodded at Conrael as he reached him, gesturing over his shoulder at the young Troll. "The other one is on the way with the other two. Best we get them inside and comfortable fast. We left that clearing in a bit of a mess." ![]()
Male Trollkin Chieftain / Kriel Champ
![]() "Boy?" Havar laughed softly, shaking his head. "You crack me up midget. Go. Run your little legs all over the forest. I'll drag the litter." Havar picked up the litter and began to follow after the two Trolls. "Don't come screaming to us if something mistakes you for a snack and tries to take a bite." ![]()
Male Trollkin Chieftain / Kriel Champ
![]() Havar shakes his head. "Nay, there will be no scouting on this journey back. We need all four of us to carry two litters, and I doubt the wee Eamon is up to the task after getting his innards all munched on. Katherson is going to have to carry his end of the litter if we are to get anywhere. Eamon can lead the way!" Havar crouched and gripped the arms of one of the litters, before glancing up at the gathered men. "Let us no sit around no longer." ![]()

![]() Havar listened to the night around them as it quieted, listening for the sound of any approaching danger.
"Best we move this log and get back. I wouldn't mind staying out here for the night but the wee bairn should be abed!" Strength Check (Pay 1 Feat Point to Boost)-3d6 + 7 ⇒ (3, 4, 4) + 7 = 18 Havar waited till Oengus or Eoghan began to lift, before putting his back in to it, heaving with all of his might. If that is a success it is a Critical Success so I'll get that Feat Point back. ![]()

![]() The system is brutal, it is not a kind system to play in at all. It does good at representing the tabletop game itself. I mean those Mawgs had 4 health each and there was like 10 of them or something. Our PCs probably only have around 12 hp so you can get easily overwhelmed. It really relies on the abilities we have and how we use them. Like in Combat I should stand base to base with Oengus, as I have Defensive Line and can give myself +1 Arm. Having to ever only roll d6 is also a bonus. It keeps the dice maths really simple. ![]()

As in once per combat? I don't believe so. I believe you can do it as many times you like in a combat, but only once per round. ![]()

![]() Okay so Feat Points have multiple uses. You can use them to give yourself Parry for a turn, negating free strikes if you need to run out of combat. You can use them to give yourself Heroic dodge, which will let you take half damage from an attack. You can use them to boost a non combat skill check. You can use them to Walk it Off, which will let you heal d3 damage. They also need to be spent for some of your Archetype abilities, eventually. Oh! And as you are a Troll, you can use it to use Revitalise, which means you can heal damage up to your PHY number. They have multiple non combat, preservation uses. ![]()

![]() Havar belows a loud challenge, before laying about him with his Greataxe, lashing out at the Mawg that damaged him first. Spend a Feat Point for Backswing. Attack 1 (Weapon Master)2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 6) + 6 = 153d6 + 13 ⇒ (3, 1, 2) + 13 = 19 As his axe slams in to the Mawg, he grins viciously, before using the momentum of his swing, and sending the wicked, razor sharp edge, flying towards the other enemy. Attack 2 (Weapon Master)2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 2) + 6 = 123d6 + 13 ⇒ (1, 6, 2) + 13 = 22 Hopefully that is enough to kill both, as that will refill my Feat Points to full. Haha ![]()

![]() It is just how the branches are laid out. So it goes lowest number in the Aspect, highest count. So for Phys of 7, branch 1 has 4 damage and branch 2 has 3. And it curves in so that branch 1 leads in to branch 2. But branch 2 is curved in too, and leads to branch 3, not back to Branch 1. Ya get me? If you look at a life spiral itself it might be easier to understand. Oh also it might be the phrasing. Branches run from 1 to 6, Aspects contain 2 branches. ![]()
Male Trollkin Chieftain / Kriel Champ
![]() The first hit doesn't cripple that aspect as it hit 6 first. So it fills 6 and then the excess flows over in to 1. If Intellect has 3 in it, that means that you take one in 6 and two damage on 1, which would have four damage in total for Physical 7. Next attack kills two more points and cripples Intellect, before build back on to 1 again, leaving it on one damage and Physical on a total of 4 damage left. Nothing changed bar the allocation is all. Wait... You only got attacked once so that means you just start at 6, take one point of damage then move straight to 1, so neither system is crippled. Right? though taking five damage to Phys isn't good... Maybe use a Feat point for Heroic Dodge, take only 3 points of damage, one to 6 and two to 1? I dunno... I'm just trying to figure the best way to do it is all. Sorry man ![]()

![]() Location-1d6 ⇒ 6 The first Mawg scratched harmlessly off of the large Trollkins armour and he grinned down at it viciously, before the second attacked, scratching him slightly across the back of the hand.
