Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

Got it!

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

It was rather fun.

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

Cool. I'll watch for that.

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

GMs usually tell their players why they can't carry on.
So it might have been something sudden in real life for him.
Can't do much about it, though.

@ Aya:
I have lots of time for games, being on a disability pension and all.
If you start a new game or need a replacement thug goon character. (ha-ha)
Either with this ID or my main alias, Xunal.

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

Oooooo!
That pun was all wet! :D

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

I still check in.
The GM is probably busy with that 'real life' nonsense! :o

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

Hanzir collapses from the cultit's blow
I didn't expect a knife to do nearly that much damage!
Oh well.

Fortitude, to stabalize: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 (Beast shape still)

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

Fortitude: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16 (boar shape and rage)

Ignoring the humanoid that hit him (for now),
Hanzir howls and tries to hit the cultist with his pick again
now that Aya has provided some light again:
heavy pick, 2 handed: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
damage: 1d6 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
(bless, enraged)

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

Hanzir goes into a rage and attacks the cultist:
heavy pick, 2 handed: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
damage: 1d6 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
(bless, enraged)

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

stealth: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
Not bad for a big lug!

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

Gripping his heavy pick in one hand, Hanzir follows the others and enters the bilge:

GM:
perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 (oh well)
"Ugh! It stinks to s$&~ in here!" Hanzir thinks.

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

Hanzir tries to figure out what direction the chanting is coming from in the the darkness (which is very dark indeed!)

perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

I'm still here

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21

Hanzir whispers to the others:
"I hear chanting from the centre."
"No time to explain, but I am changing shape for this fight."
"I am still on your side!"

Low Light Vision:
Hanzi's lower jaw juts out and two large tusks appear.

He then goes to his box of gear and gets his heavy pick.
I doubt there is enough room for using about a greatsword.
His heavy pick would be more useful in these tight quarters.

GM:
It was one standard action for Hanzir to Shape Change.
The ability he will pick is his Gore attack (1d6 + STR bonus).

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

Hanzir follows Andross with all speed.

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

"Oinky?" Moi? NO! Never! No!
Yes. A bit! :D

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

sense motive: 1d20 ⇒ 8

Hanzir pauses and glances at the nearest pigs.
He then briefly roars, grunts, and squeals like a boar.

GM:

Hanzir is using 1 of his 3 speak with animals (pigs and boars only) abilities for the day.
He doesn't need to shape change to do this.
"Back in your pens!
"Danger is close.
"We protect.
"Eat later!"

handle animal: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
I was wondering when I might get a chance to use that!

"Come on, then! We're in a hurry, we are!"

Without waiting for a reaction, he follows the priest below decks.

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

acrobatics: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

No knowledge (religion)

"Right! Let's go!"
Hanzir follows Andross.

"What are we looking for, exactly?"
"I can see in dim light, like elves."

perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
(As soon as we're below decks.)

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

"Oh goody! Do I get to thump someone?"
Hanzir whispers to the priest.

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

"No, no, no, Agroob! This priest isn't the problem!"
"Now come over here and pay attention."

bluff: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (17) - 1 = 16
Again trying to avoid alerting the captain.

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

Despite all the panic aboard, Hanzir somehow overheard Gnixgnox and Andross and approaches them.

He addresses them quietly, trying to avoid the Captain overhearing:
"I don't know anything about Sheliak."
"The captain and Alayne shared a knowing look with each other."
"Just before she went below decks."
"Going below decks NOW is strange for her, I would think."

bluff: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (14) - 1 = 13
To avoid the captain noticing him

@Hanzir

Since you got a natural 20, feel free to look at any of the perception spoilers. It's basically a critical insight.

Cool!

Thanks!

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

knowledge (nature): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
"TUH-riffic! NASTY storm coming!"
"A storm like this comes once a decade."
"Just for us, apparently."

perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
"Why has Alayne gone below decks?"
"She's missing all the FUN!"

Hanzir is helping where he can.
Especially anything requiring muscle power and elbow grease.
STR check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

I didn't realise you could next spoilers inside one another.
Cool!

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
"Storm? That's inconvenient!"

"And you can't fight them either!"

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

"s'right" says Hanzir between a few mouthfuls.

"Got some exercise out of them, at least."

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15 (meh)

"I wanted to kill more of those Grindylow."
"Shame they fled before I had the chance."

Hanzir then resumes filling his face.
Which is normal for him at meal time.

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

"We killed some of them and the others fled. Easy."
"They were jabbering too, but I couldn't understand a word of it."

Diplomacy is not Hazir's forte!

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

You're right; I can see Orcs doing a Haka.
Scary!

Mind you, that's the idea behind a Haka anyway.
As far as I know, since I'm a Canadian.

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

Just so long as we're not expected to do a Haka!

Actually, that would look downright bizarre with the mix of races we've got here.

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

cool

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

Sailing and thumping things!

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

Hello, everyone.

Just remember that Hanzir likes to eat and drink.
A lot.

Oh, yeah, he likes fighting too.
A bit. Well, rather a lot, actually.

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

No problem; thanks!

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

I was curious about that myself

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

I'm still here.
And keen.

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

Hanzir just wants to thump bad guys! :o

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

Me too!

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

I'm fine with that.

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

I'm still here

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

Hi All!

I'll be out of town for about a week.
Visiting family and all that.

I should be able to keep up with the posts with my laptop, though.

Just a head's up in case I'm a little slow posting the next few days.

Thanks!

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

Okay; I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss something.

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

It's been quiet here lately!

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

Okay; take care!

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

Hanzir is probably already asleep below decsk by now.

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

As Hanzir gets back aboard the Maribosa from the ladder, he just says to Jaspar:
"You can stop worrying about us, Boss."
"We're back, a little worse for wear."
"We lost some of our crew to Grindylow."
"But more of them than us died, I can tell you!"
"And anyway, we saved the Diademe and most of her crew."
"And all her cargo."

Then he heads below decks, and as he does, he says to Jaspar:
"It was a bit tiring for us to rescue your ship."
"You can thank us later."
"Myself, I a little lie down."
"The rest of us probably need a kip too!"

A casual "what's the fuss all about?" approach!

Then Hanzir goes to have a nap in his cot as if he had just been doing some manual chores.

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

"I hate those things!"

Hanzir then sits down and starts cleaning his equipment as best he can.

"I'm hungry." he thinks.

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

"Yes"

Who is that? Hanzir wonders.

Male Ragebred Barbarian (inactive)

Hanzir quickly grabs his pick and climbs up the rope
climb: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16

Would I be able to assist others climbing up the rope by putting another one down from the ship and help pull others up?
