![]() For the whole "eidolon as last resort" angle... Otherverse Games has a pdf called Eidolons Unbound that contains a section for eidolon flaws. One of these limitations is a restriction on summoning that prevents the eidolon from being called unless the summoner is at 1/2 his HP or lower. In exchange for taking this flaw you gain +4 evolution points. Could be something interesting to run by your GM. ![]()

Yes to the Deadly Dancer. So much yes. On the Jyoti's xenophobia, a good justification for it would be that they see creatures from outside the positive energy plane as tainted by negative or even neutral energy. They (non-jyoti) are seen as impure and corrupted, and would be treated like lepers. Put this on the scale from a few diseased individuals to the entirety of all other races in the multiverse and it is easy to see how xenophobic Jyoti could be. But that's all head-canon. Todd probably has a better answer. ![]()

I once played with someone in 3.5 who was an extremely efficient optimized healer. This was actually his preferred way of killing enemies. He also had a habit of turning stone walls to flesh and causing them to burst with positive energy so that he could escape through them. I too would like to see more kami. I think a scroll kami, or some sort of rock kami could be fun for low CR, but a thunder and lightning kami might be fun for higher level play. Since there are so many dinosaurs and megafauna, it could be interesting to introduce giant sea scorpions or nautiloids from the cambrian age. At the top of my personal wishlist, I want to see new and variant Kytons. Everything about them is so metal, pun fully intended. ![]()
![]() Energy resistance is nothing special. I mean, sure it can prevent some extraneous damage from spell effects, but will it save the aasimar from getting gored or clawed... not really. I've played with aasimars and tieflings and nobody seems to pick the race specifically for the resistances, it's usually been for flavor. When resistance does come up, the player has a small victory and the fun they are having with the game increases. Although, there is another side to this... If you have friends who abuse resistance, then put them up against one of the myriad beasties that don't use energy in their attacks. A good scuffle with an advanced owlbear may shake them up a bit. ![]()
![]() I would really like to see some more original magical beasts. Part of the reason why things like the Owlbear and Bulette are still talked today about is because they came out of left field and surprised everyone in their time. Stuff like eel-weasals, elephants with three heads, and telekinetic goats would really stand out in a new book and could have some very fun lore crafted about them. ![]()
![]() For those who don't know, gigas are a type of giants living on the outer planes. In the bestiary of the "The Twice-Damned Prince" there is mention of Nirvana and Maelstrom Gigas. Neither of these has been officially statted up in Paizo's canon yet, so I thought I'd try my hand at creating the Nirvana Gigas. Tell me what you think, if this goes well I'll consider doing the maelstrom gigas next. Nirvana Gigas CR 15
