Once Joe carefully packs the violin back into the case, and puts the other items she found in a nice little pile, she wanders to the bridge. Apparently the enemy--the evil Hoomans--had cleverly hidden an item in the captains chair. Apparently the Hoomans liked little buttons installed on the bottom of the captains armrest. Joe looks under--and low and behold--finds a small button. Depressing it, she senses a vibration in the chair. "Umm...guys. I don't know if they really told us EXACTLY what the relic is, but if I had to guess...a cleverly hidden panel in the captains chair would likely be where it might be....though this weird sphere almost the size of Blinky's head might be able to be considered one....SHESH....I think we need Blinky to get it out...it is HEAVY." Joe tries her best to get it out of the storage space.....but gives up and waits for Blinky.

Fixed....weapon has reach, so I would have moved to the door...it would have allowed the tiefling (if they had a melee weapon) an AoO when I did that. tier 1 sedatives medicinals....which I don't think works on a grapple at all...which personally the Capture poles are weird....you can either attack with it and do damage (and get the injection with it), or grapple with it and get neither...at least it is how I read grapple... I will wait to see which way he runs, as Joe will likely attempt to catch him again...gotta catch them all!!!

Joe just comes to her senses when another grenade explodes right outside the door she is near....she sees that Ayoka seems to be almost pushed back through the door, and Elwin stumble in almost right after. Quickly thinking on getting one or both a jab to help with the disorienting effect of the earlier grenade....she jabs her syringe stick at Elwin, and then dashes out to see if there is anybody else she might have to heal. Elwin, you are no longer affected by the current staggered, and can ignore staggered and confused for the next 5 rounds. Seeing Blinky armed to bear at another apparently enemy, and Garcon standing there with their pistol drawn and aimed at the person...the trailing smoke from the pneumatics that the needler uses to fire its darts. Joe gives Garcon a thumbs up as she dashes back towards the reactor...trying to give room incase ANYMORE grenades get tossed at them. The MOST use I have had out of Nerochemistry field of study EVER....since I am apparently never around a Will Save caster....that -2 to Will saves on my inhibitor is pretty awesome for those....

Joe shakes her head....just now realizing that this is a neurochemical effect that the grenade does to the brain....she quickly pokes herself with her syringe stick to give her a biohack. Neurochemist booster biohack special injection allows the recipient to ignore confused and staggered for the duration of the injection, though the negative effect still counts down. So effectively can ignore the confused/staggered condition for 5 rounds. The quick jab, and the unbalanced condition seems to recede....allowing Joe to fully understand what is happening.... Over comms, "How did the bear get here....they don't seem to be the smartest animal cracker in the box....and we didn't see a ship...unless maybe it was somewhere in all the debris in the field surrounding this ship." She definitely watches the groups six....worried somebody might be sneaking up on them from behind. It is something that she could think on doing with a bear...being the distraction.... 2 boosters used out of 6

Joe stumbles forward....the grenade seeming to have really disoriented her ability to focus and balance....though she does keep turning her head to the back, trying to keep an eye out for anybody trying to sneak up on them....she feels the bear (grizzly, not the koala) might be leading them into a trap....maybe a 'bear' trap..... She giggles slightly at the thought of a bear trap made by a uplifted bear.....though she quickly tries to un-befuddle her brain....she realizes these tangent thoughts are the befuddlement of her brain...it almost feels like her brain is covered in honey...which bears like....she remembers a story about a yellow bear named Booh, or something like that..... "So umm...they basically like fire...so fire weapons like laser and plasma is iffy at best to use against them. Otherwise, they likely can do some kind of fire stuff with their melee attacks...and likely shoot fire as a ranged attack. Umm....that is really all I can determine. But myself or Garcon 'MIGHT' be able to make it more vulnerable to fire if people really need it to be able to be hurt by fire...maybe" One of the less used--but IMO an important one--biohack is the reduction of DR or Resistance by 5. If people need fire weapons to work--and it doesn't have full out immunity to fire (which honestly I don't think they do, but I can't remember and won't use GM knowledge)--we might be able to allow the weapons to do some damage....

I think what Blinky is suggesting is a decent course of action....even with my configurable Zero G clothing I think I get a +5 or +6 on these checks....

Joe picks up a few more UPB's to use to make medicinals and serums....though without Buddy AND Mujina, she is not certain who she will be dosing with all the feel good medications. A small very pale yellow skittermander--with a bandolier and way to many injection weapons-- slinks in at the last moment, apparently out of breath. Good game...and yeah...disappointing...but I feel that with 2 peeps down we would have not been able to drop the gnome and the 2 guards if we had focused on the guards first. Shifty was right in that we should focus on the gnome....doing it otherwise would have likely been a MUCH longer fight...and all of us have been killed. I just started to prep this yesterday...and yea....wow....that last fight's CR was a CR 8....with Ainveln being a CR 6 himself. EVEN if we were 100% healed and ready for it....I doubt it would have mattered much Effectively we were hitting WAY ABOVE our means....Even if we were all 6....I think it would have been the same. Well...people in Season 1-2+ were saying the fights were too easy.....guess they super-saiyaned them. The only way I think we would have had a chance is if we had Mujina and at least 2 of us (probably Buddy and a spellcaster) was 4th level. All in all...good storyline...and unlike the Into the Vast...all parts actually felt like they were really tied together. I loved the Into the Vast series...just was not as well tied together as this multi-scenario set. Can't wait for the next chapter of the Skitterforce! On Skitter shot being changed...it did hurt me like 6 or so credits...but oh well...sucked. Squizzer, I never heard Into the Unknown was being looked at as a Nova possiblity. And considering the others (Fleeting Truth 3... Cornered Rat...wowzers!) it would have looked like a weak link in comparison. That is probably why they decided not to do that (At least that is my guess) BTW...I do have 2-3 open slots For Fleeting TruthL The Everchanging Revelation....once we find at least 1 more person I can attempt to find a time to run it on Discord/Roll20. I wonder...if I 'shoot' the tree....and get through it's hardness....I could inject it with a sedative...maybe putting the tree 'unconscious'....it might make them think the tree dies????

The grenades hit Joe...probably because she is more worried on her companions than dodging herself out of the way.
Seeing that the blast hit the tree, Mossgrove and herself, but missed Ayoka and Szama. Joe hopes the hardness of the tree helped, but realizes that the tree probably needs more healing if the two goons attempt to throw more grenades again. Hearing Ainveln say that quip, she looks behind her...but sees that Buddy will likely handle it... Thinking quickly, and hoping that her thoughts on botany are correct....a healing serum should heal the tree somewhat....though she would love to heal her allies also....But Mossgrove really seems worried about the tree..... She loads a serum into her needler and shoots the tree??? Then takes a quick step backward...trying to distance herself from others.
I hope that healed the tree somewhat...I think after my rewrite on needing to use the caustolance to get past any hardness the tree might have, that I didn't hurt the tree too much...but healed it for more than I hurt it.....sigh....this fight is still not going great.
