Gruingar was a fairly accomplished city guard. He contiued to survive in the most dangerous parts of the slums. Behavior improved just because he walked though an area. I liked to claim a riot would disperse just because they knew he was on the way.
After the 3rd time in a week that the guy he was supposed to arrest apparently decided to fight to the death rather than surrender...
Well Watch Captain Gralimont, called him into his office.
"The pissant what never leaves his desk and tries to pretend the rough burgs don't really esist, called me to the carpet!
Then he has the gall to lecture about how the job is supposed to be done. How we have to make the people feel safe and protected. Violence is a last resort. Yada, blah, whatever...
My beat was calm because that scum was afraid to piss me off!"
Eventually as the captain continued to scold, Gruingar snapped. He drove his truncheon into the captain's face with all his considerable might.
The captain lost several teeth, had a broken jaw, and several cracked ribs. But the other officers beat down Gruingar before he could finish off the captain.

He's a warrior that will switch to fighter and would eventually like to start a new order of Hellknights here in Talingarde. Then the dogs will see how order is really kept.
