PF2E on Foundry V13 is still in Beta, so you are probably better off rolling back to V12 until the basic system is set up. Most developers (including Paizo) will update their premium stuff to V13 soon.

A general rule of thumb with Foundry is to be patient and cautious with updates, particularly with major ones, and make sure any mods you have been running (like Workbench, Toolbelt, etc.) have been updated to be compatible with the new version as well.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

Yeah, I subscribed thinking I would have the option for this to be my first shipment, but the option wasn't offered, and the site says print edition "unavailable."

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

The hardcopies are already sold out, or not yet released?

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

Please cancel the following subscriptions:

Pathfinder Adventure Path - following #78
Pathfinder Campaign Setting - following WofR Map Folio
Pathfinder Player Companion - following Bastards of Golarion
Pathfinder Modules - following Tears of Bitter Manor
Pathfinder RPG - now

Thanks,
John

I have suspended your subscriptions and sent you a brief email with instructions for reinstatement and getting your missed volumes.

Thanks,

Please restart my subscriptions. I have updated my account with my new address.

Please suspend my Adventure Paths subscription. Thanks!

Please resume all of my subscriptions, except for Planet Stories, please cancel that one. You can hold everything for my next monthly shipment, or send it now, whatever is cheaper for shipping.

Thanks!

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

What would be the difference between cancellation and suspension? In this case, I am expecting to be able to resume in maybe 4 to 6 months from now.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

Please cancel my subscriptions. I would like the Pathfinder Adventure Path subscription to end after #42, but all other subscriptions, cancel immediately.

Thanks.

Actually - is it possible to put them on hold or suspend them, and what would be the difference?

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

Regardless of the content (there have been a lot of good ideas already posted here), the key to this set is the marketing. It needs to be marketed and sold "mainstream," a la Wal Mart, Target, etc, right next to Monopoly and other games (so it should come in a box). Not going to find a new audience in your FLGS.

I've moved the "ready to go" items to your sidecart, however, the preorder cannot. Non-Paizo preorders must always ship separately due to the unpredictability of their release dates.

Thanks,

Can you cancel the preorder for the Campaign Guide then? I will order it after it actually hits the streets.

If so, that stinks.
No, items from that sale were fulfilled in order of ordering, not in order of shipping. You can read more about why some orders had to be cancelled in our responses here.

Good to know that is the order fulfillment policy. Wouldn't have gotten those either way, then. Thanks for you quick reply, Vic!

I know Flumph's are almost universally mocked, but I thought the treatment of Flumph's in Rappan Athuk Reloaded is actually pretty interesting.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

Any way to get a hardcopy of this?

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

That was written over 20 years ago. Dark Dungeons, his anti-DnD comic, comes up on E-Bay every once in a while, it is an amusing read. Some people focus their time and energy in strange ways.

It was the preorders that were preventing the deletion of the old card. The system won't let you delete a card that is still attached to anything as a payment method.

I have switched the payment method on your preorders and sent you a new confirmation email.

Also, I preordered the Bestiary and Pathfinder Core Rules (order # 1143879) using the old card. Can the payment be changed to the new card (ending in 6030), or else cancel this order and notify me, and I will preorder again with the new card.

All be honest, after all the edition wars, bata testing, yelling and screaming about home rules, I think I'd like Pathfinder to remain em

'stable' for a long time. This may only be wishful thinking as 3.0 had only three years 3.5 about 5 years, along with a lot of home rules for publishers and settings. Then again that was Wizards fault, Paizo has shown itself to be a differnt animal. But I think the Industry while strong and diverse, needs a little more stablity. Moreover lets all face it 3.x is prob. the most tinkered with and refined game system ever, no Pathfinder isn't perfect, (Sorry James but I have to say it "Hello Use Rope, welcome back glad you like the new skill system, even if they did try to get rid of you and your fellow skills") but I think we are all ready to give tinkering a rest and move on. I'd like to see the Pathfinder standard remain for a lest 10 years, unless something is really really broken. I mean so broken everyone agrees its bad by the end of a years playing. I don't see that coming, even with the stuff I didn't like.

Just my copper....TTFN Dre

I think that longer term stability of the ruleset is something Paizo is looking to achieve with Pathfinder. As a third party publisher, their business model has not been dependent on the massive influx of sales from a new edition release (something WotC has done three times in 8 yrs), so hopefully they can continue to be successful long term without having to sell us on a major rules overhaul.

Good games stand the test of time - Chess, Monopoly, Risk, etc. - without dramatic changes in their rules. Fantasy roleplaying should ultimately be no different.

I don't this as long as they announce it before it's too late to pre-order and get in on it. I'm a guaranteed sale, but I haven't pre-ordered in case I want to buy other stuff with the books and take advantage of the shipping discount. If they tell me I can get free PDFs by pre-ordering, I'm in, but if they suddenly announce that everyone who has already pre-ordered, and no one else, gets the PDFs, I'll be annoyed.

Agreed, whatever their decision may be, they should let us know sooner rather than later what their course of action will be regarding PDF versions of the upcoming rules.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

An RPG subsciption implies that they are regularly going to be putting out splat books, a la WotC. While Paizo hasn't been too specific about this, they seem to have implied that aside from additional Beastiaries, there won't be a whole lot of optional rulebooks, as they wanted to avoid the "new hardback every month" model that WotC seems to follow.

For these first two core books, my 2 cents is for a free PDF for all preorders. If you are late to the party, if you want both, pay for both. The idea of bundling both for a discount would be okay, too.

Any reason LB1 was cancelled from my subscription shipment? If it was a mistake of some sort, no rush, just put it in the next one to go out.

Now put that money to good use!

Many of us had this problem with the Gazetteer, and one other PDF file. The common problem was that we were all using Foxit Version 2.2. If you are using Foxit 2.2, upgrade to Foxit 2.3 which does not have the problem.

I am set up with monthly shipping, which should be fine for me - when do the monthly shipments go out? The first of the month? The 17th of the month? The second Tuesday of each month?

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

I recently signed up for the Pathfinder Modules subscription, but it lists my next module to ship as LB1 (in June). Was I too late for W3? I signed up before it was released.

For the other subscriptions (Adventure Paths, etc.), it looks like I will be getting the currently available product in my first shipment (which is pending). Why not with the modules? I don't mind waiting until the June shipment for W3 if that is necessary.

Dear Paizo Customer Service,

Please cancel my AP subscription.

Thank you!

Dear Paizo Customer Service,

On November 8 I ordered several items from the Great Golem Sale (Order #2883291). On November 10 I ordered three additional items from the Great Golem Sale (Order #2887507) and combined them with my pending original Order #2883291 to save on shipping costs. This evening (November 16) I placed an order for an item that is not on sale (Order #2895324), and combined it with my still-pending Order #2883291 to again save on shipping costs. Upon adding this new order, the price of one of the items from Order #2887507 (Small World: Tales and Legends Expansion) increased from $7.50 to $12.75. Just curious as to the reason for the $5.25 price increase.

Thanks for your help!

The shipping e-mail for this order was received on August 13, 2013.

I moved in late August, and I submitted the change of address with the USPS and Paizo, but I'm afraid this package may have gotten lost in the forwarding process.

Thanks for your help!

Greetings!

Our group’s Kingmaker PbP has been on a too-long hiatus, and we’re about to jumpstart it back to life. We’re looking for two new players to fill a couple of vacant slots in the party. Our game is here: DM Sully’s Kingmaker and our discussion thread is here: DM Sully’s Kingmaker Discussion Thread. No, I’m not DM Sully – I’m one of the original players in the game who took up the DM’s mantle when Sully had to bow out. Our remaining characters include:

Karthas: Kellid barbarian/rogue;
Euron: Varisian/Ulfen druid of the Green Faith; and
Suny: Elf barbarian/magus (replacing Tyr; same player).

We’re about one-half to two-thirds of the way through ‘Into the Stolen Lands’ – the first installment of the Kingmaker AP. The characters have fully explored 13 out of 32 hexes plus parts of three other hexes, and have completed most of the adventure’s quests. The characters recently discovered the location of the Stag Lord’s fort, and must now decide whether to continue exploring or strike at the Stag Lord now. The characters have just advanced to 3rd level.

If you’re interested in joining us, the character creation guidelines are as follows:

Level 3 characters, with the appropriate wealth for level (3,000 gp, no more than half of which can be spent on one item).

Ability scores generated using the elite array (8, 10, 12, 13, 14, and 15 – prior to racial adjustments) plus you have one extra point to add to any score of your choice.

Sources allowed: Core Rule Book, Advanced Players Guide, Ultimate Magic, Ultimate Combat. Please check for permission for anything outside of those source books.

Two traits: Preferably one from the Kingmaker Player’s Guide; no Rich Parents or any trait that gives extra gold.

Maximum hit points for Level 1, then either roll here or take one-half HD plus 1 (ex. d8 HD = 4+1 = 5) for levels 2 and 3.

Please apply with a full character (crunch, background, personality, and description). I’m accepting applications until 10:00 PM EST this Thursday, 5 April.

If you have any questions, just ask! Thanks!

I'm thinking about running Expedition to the Barrier Peaks for a D&D 3.5 game and was wondering if anyone knew if Paizo (or anyone else) ever put together a 3.5 conversion of the Froghemoth. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

During our last session, my PCs ecountered the projected image of Xerkamat outside the entrance to Taboo Temple. He hit them with Blasphemy on the first round, doing 8 points of strength decrease (4 for those who saved - I am using the Pathfinder version of the spell, which allows a saving throw for all of the effects). We had to end the session early after the first round of battle, so I am making plans for our next session.

My question is this: if Xerkamat uses Blasphemy again, will the strength decrease from the second Blasphemy stack with that of the first? If they do stack, then Xerkamat could conceivably keep using Blasphemy to drop all of their strength scores to zero, at which point they would be paralyzed. Is this correct?

This is the first time that I have used a monster that has Blasphemy usable at-will.

Thanks for any help!
-Max Hellspont

The set-up: in TINH, Team Anthrax (the PCs) raided the Lotus Dragon lair and killed half of the group of thieves before leaving to rest/recover spells. On their return to the lair, they were caught by surprise in the training hall by Rowyn, Gut Tugger, and several of the remaining thieves. Impressed with their prowess in dispatching half of her guild, Rowyn offered Team Anthrax jobs with her organization, which they accepted (they really thought that Rowyn had them caught by the short hairs; plus they thought that they could continue to work for Lavinia and tell her about Rowyn’s involvement with the Lotus Dragons after they returned from taking care of Vanthus). Rowyn told the party that Vanthus had gone to Kraken’s Cove, and asked them to follow him since she didn’t totally trust him to return with the treasure that he promised. Team Anthrax journeyed to the Cove, dealt with the savage creatures, and returned to rescue Lavinia from the bullywugs. Then they took a week off (prior to starting SWW) without doing anything about Rowyn…

After their week of R&R, the PCs were given the following information:

It has been a week since Team Anthrax’s harrowing rescue of Lavinia Vanderboren and the Jade Ravens from the warforged pirate Sharkbait (yes, we’re in Eberron) and his bullywug cohorts. Sasserine has returned to a semblance of normalcy following the exuberance of the annual Wyrmfall Festival. In particular, the Sasserine harbor seems to be operating much more efficiently now that Rowyn Kellani (on behalf of her ailing mother, Heldrath Kellani) has taken over the duties of harbormaster following the murder of Keltar Islaren.

Coincidentally, Rowyn Kellani has been instrumental in solving the mystery of the murder of the former harbormaster. With the help of the Sunrise Watch, young Lady Kellani uncovered evidence linking Keltar Islaren’s murder to a notorious local thieves guild known as the Lotus Dragons. In particular, it appears that the murder was committed by the leader of the guild, none other than the missing young noble, Vanthus Vanderboren! To the shock of the citizenry of Sasserine, young Lady Kellani also revealed how Vanthus had been threatening several of the noble families (her own family included), and how he had even orchestrated the murders of his own parents, the late Verik and Larissa Vanderboren!

Shortly after the Wyrmfall Festival, Rowyn led the Sunrise Watch in a raid upon the secret lair of the Lotus Dragons located beneath the Taxidermists Guildhall located on Water Street. A heated battle resulted in the deaths of all of the Lotus Dragon thieves present, although it is assumed that some of the members of the thieves guild were away at the time of the raid. Several documents retrieved from Vanthus Vanderboren’s secret lair corroborated young Lady Kellani’s information, and revealed that Vanthus was aided by a changeling lieutenant. A changeling was not found among the dead thieves; therefore, it is assumed that Vanthus Vanderboren’s lieutenant remains at large. The Dawn Council has rewarded Rowyn Kellani with the Spire of Sasserine, which is awarded to those who perform great service to the city. Local opinion holds that young Lady Kellani may be elected to lead the Dawn Council when Lord Worrin Lidu’s term ends.

Following the raid on the Lotus Dragons’ lair, Rowyn met with Lavinia Vanderboren to share with her the evidence of Vanthus’ perfidy. Rowyn also returned to Lavinia most of the funds that Vanthus had stolen from the Vander family vault beneath Castle Teraknian, which Rowyn and the Sunrise Watch recovered during the raid. She also recovered a journal penned by Lavinia’s father, Verik, detailing the establishment of a colony named Farshore far to the south near fabled Xen’drik at a place known as the Isle of Dread. Rowyn has offered to help Lavinia fund an expedition to re-supply the colonists at Farshore.

During the last two game sessions, the PCs have been traversing the east coast of the Isle of Dread from the end of Dark Mountain Pass to the mountain pass that leads to the Fogmire. Olangru (that cheeky monkey!) has been playing his tricks on the party every night and/or day as suggested in the module and on these messageboards (thanks for the ideas!). After the first incident (the stone throne with skeleton that later disappears to be replaced by a monkey jawbone) the PCs were suitably creeped out. However, after a few of the subsequent tricks, the PCs came to the conclusion that the tricks were being perpetrated by none other than...

...the Phanatons!

I am not really sure how they came to this conclusion. Olangru has left a few messages scrawled in the dirt or in blood in Abyssal taunting the party, and the party druid (Child of Winter/Planar Shepherd - yes, we are playing in Eberron) even identified a lone footprint as belonging to a bar-lgura demon. Yet they are still certain that they are being stalked by the Phanatons! One player even theorized that the Phanatons have a mutant baboon's foot on a stick that they are using to leave the occassional track!

Today's session ended with the party stumbling into the Fogmire Ruins and seeing the strung-up zombie, which delivered its little speech. The suitable creep-out factor was attained. Boy, are they in for a surprise next session!

Thanks to the Paizo group for this wonderful Adventure Path!
