Why can I not change my payment method?

My old card is expired. I can add a new card, but I cannot figure out any way to tell the website/system to use that new method.

Can anyone help?

Good evening, fine Customer Service Goblins!

I just received my subscribed Scenarios 1-06 and 1-07, so hooray! However, I never received Scenarios 1-04 and 1-05 in October. Is there something funky in the tubes?

The Exchange 5/5

So, I have been trying for several days to figure out how to report.

The PF2 Society Guide on the OrganizedPlayFoundation page says to go to something called PathfinderSociety.club However, as near as I can tell. There is no such thing as PathfinderSociety.club. Are you using some different internet than the one I use?

Going to the paizo.com website and using the old reporting system also does not work. I can designate a session as Pathfinder Society (2nd Edition), but there are no scenarios in the dropdown chooser for scenario, and the system will not let me report without picking a scenario.

What is the scoop? I have two sessions I want to report, but cannot figure out how. I have reported lots of sessions in the past, so feel like I ought to be able to maneuver the process, but I am at a loss here.

The Exchange

I had signed up a few days ago for some subscriptions - Pathfinder Rulebooks, Pathfinder Adventure Path, Pathfinder Lost Omens, and Pathfinder Society Scenarios.

Then I read something amazing - subscription to 4 separate lines gives either Pathfinder Society Scenarios or Starfinder Society Scenarios as a complimentary item!

Since that is the case, can I add a subscription to Pathfinder Adventures and switch my Pathfinder Society Scenarios subscription to be complimentary?

The Exchange

Good afternoon, fine Paizo Customer Service folk,

Thanks to the newfangled 2e buzz, I am restarting my subscriptions to your fine product.

However, in my order, it would not let me start the Core Rulebook and Adventure Path subscriptions with the upcoming 2e goodness, and has instead forced me to start with AP #143 (Tyrant's Grasp 5 of 6) and Planar Adventures.

I don't actually want those to be my starting points. I want to start with the new goodness!

Can you shift my subscription to start with AP #145 (Age of Ashes 1) and the 2e Core Rulebook?

As a side note, the subscriptions for Lost Omens and Pathfinder Society Scenarios seem to be acting properly, letting me start where I wanted.

Thanks,
Zandari

Dear Paizo folks,

Please cancel my Starfinder Adventure Path subscription after #12 Heart of Night (Signal of Screams Part 3 of 3).

Also, please cancel my Pathfinder Adventure Path subscription after #138 Rise of New Thassillon (Return of the Runelords Part 6 of 6).

It has been a nice long run with you guys, but I will not be returning for 2nd Edition.

The Exchange

Good afternoon, folks,

I was going to go ahead and jump on the Starfinder AP bandwagon this afternoon, but when I click on the button to start with AP #1, it gives me an "Unable to Ship" notice.

Am I too late to start with #1, or is there something particularly funky going on? It shouldn't have anything to do with my address, you have been sending me Pathfinder AP's here since September 2008.

Oh man, I just realized I have been subscribing to these things for nine years. Now I feel old.

The Exchange

Dear Customer Service folks,

I need to cancel the following subscriptions:
Pathfinder Modules
Pathfinder Pawns
Pathfinder Roleplaying Game

I want to maintain my subscription to the Adventure Paths.

Thanks,
Zandari

Good Evening, Most Revered Customer Service Peeps,

Prior to GenCon, I had figured I would be able to pick up my various goodies at the Paizo Booth in the Exhibit Hall.

Unfortunately, for various and sundry reasons, I was not able to make it to the Exhibit Hall this year.

Is there any way to get my last round of subscription items re-mobilized to ship to my home address as normal?

So, Inner Sea Magic says "Only wizards can truly follow the ancient philosophies created by Thassilon’s runelords, for only wizards have the
capability to specialize in a school of magic."

However, a School Savant Arcanist is also capable of specializing a school of magic.

Can a School Savant Arcanist take Thassilonian Specialist?

So I was checking my GM/Event Coordinator numbers over on My Pathfinder Society, as I am pathologically wont to do, and I noticed that the number of session reported does not add up to the amount of table credit reported.

All of my reported sessions show up, but the credit count is off by two. In other words, counting up the number of sessions, then adding for those few sessions that cound as +2 for GM credit, I should have a total of 121 tables of credit, but I only see 119 tables of credit on the site.

None of my sessions are missing, so I suspect the problem might be related to one of two things - either some of scenarios/modules that count as +2 for GM credit are not doing so, or some of the scenarios are not providing any credit at all.

I have run the following 2-credit scenarios:
Master of the Fallen Fortress
The Godsmouth Heresy
Murder's Mark
PFS #46 Eyes of the Ten Part I
Academy of Secrets
Murder's Mark(again)
Moonscar
Witchwar Legacy

Everything added up correctly until just after GenCon 2014, which is when I noticed that my numbers were off by two.

I ran two sessions of Beginner Box Demos and one session of Silverhex Chronicles at GenCon 2014. Could those be the culprit?

The other problem I notice is that I ran 6-00 Legacy of the Stonelords in the Saturday night slot at GenCon, and it is reported as 5-22 Scars of the Last Crusade, which I have never played or run.

Is there any way to check on these things?

Thanks, Customer Service Folks!

Dear customer service goblins, hobgoblins, bugbears, and assorted other masters of the chaos

I ran a couple of sessions of the Beginner Box Demos (Part 2) at GenCon this year, and I think they are not showing up properly under my GM table credit.

From the listing under GM Sessions, it looks like I should have 113 tables, but it only shows as 111. The only oddity in there is those two tables, run August 15, 2014 and August 16, 2014.

I know that during the recent troubles, there was some button-mashing that had to take place to make some of the special scenarios show up for credit. Is this a similar case?

The Exchange 5/5

Sooo, a quick question. 5-99 The Paths We Choose is VERY dependent on the factions of the folks at the table.

Since this will be run for the first time at GenCon, and that may be the first exposure a lot of people have to the new factions, what should we do with folks who have not yet chosen one of the new groups?

I had thought there might be some language in the scenario about this, but it appears to assume everyone is a member of one of the new factions. Did I miss something?

Just to be clear, if they have not yet chosen a new faction, should we pick the mini-quests based on the following old-to-new equivalencies?
Cheliax is Dark Archive
Andoran is Liberty's Edge
Sczarni and/or Qadira is The Exchange
Osirion is Scarab Sages
Taldor is Sovereign Court
Grand Lodge no change
Silver Crusade no change

This thread sheds some light, and I assume the new Guide to Organized Play will also illuminate things, but I just want to be sure.

So, I love using your PDF documents during play, but am constantly fighting to find them. Maybe its just me...

I use a Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ and when I put official Paizo PDF files on it, it defaults to the document title, instead of the name of the book itself.

This means, if I want to open up People of the Sand, I have to remember that the book is ACTUALLY titled PZO9441E. If I want to use my Nook to run Song of the Sea Witch, I have to open up PZOPSS0306E.

Very irritating.

Is there any way to CHANGE the title of the documents so that they show up as their actual name?

If I dig down into the folders on the device, the documents show up as whatever I have named the PDF file, but in the library list and on the home screen, it uses the Title.

Does anyone else use a Nook and know a way around this?

A simple question - does the Animal Companion mount granted to a barbarian by the Mounted Fury archetype qualify for Monstrous Mount?

Hey everybody, I didn't see a post on here about it, so I figured I might let the cat out of the bag.

DragonCon has opened pre-registration for PFS events! These are put on by the Georgia PFS (former home lodge of a couple of illustrious PFS dignitaries) and is one of the premier PFS events in the country.

The Con is in Atlanta over Labor Day weekend (Friday, August 29 through Monday, September 1), for those who don't know (who are these people?).

Here is a link to the pre-registration page!

Here is a link to the Georgia Pathfinder Society page! They are good folks, now that they got rid of those Brock and Compton guys.

AAAAAAHHHH!!

So, three days ago, I was at 91 tables of credit. Slowly working my way up to the coveted 4th GM star!

Our VC went in yesterday, I think, to add a few additional reporting sheets to my set, so I should be sitting around 96 or 97, I think, as of today.

But no! I only show as having 2 tables of credit.

All my sessions still show up on the Sessions tab for reporting, but I only show 2 tables of credit on the GM/Event Coordinator tab.

Is this a glitch, or am I truly now doomed to running another 98 tables before I get my fourth star?

So, I have long avoided getting into MMORPGs because I have been of the opinion that if I am going to pay $40-60 for a game, I shouldn't have to KEEP paying to play that game. Especially because my playing time is generally limited, job, wife, tabletop, etc. I am lucky if I get 2-3 hours of playing time a week, and it has just never made sense to pay $12-15 per month for that time.

I also generally don't like the people in MMORPGs, every time I have looked over the should of someone playing in one, it is generally just a bunch of shouting and arm-waving and people speaking rudely to each other.

PFO might change that for me, but I have a few questions.

Do I have to buy two copies of the game AND two subscriptions if I want to play with my wife, or can I buy one copy and two subscriptions?

Better yet, can we simply buy subscriptions, download/install the game for free, and start playing? I don't need a DVD that I am just going to lose or scratch anyway. I definitely don't need TWO of them.

If we know that we aren't going to be able to play for a while, can we put our subscription on hold and come back to our characters in, say, two months time when we are back in country? or will our characters disappear?

Everything I read seems to indicate that PvP is going to happen, and there will be zones where I am likely to be waylaid by some other player. The first time my level 4 self gets murdered by a level 12 jerkwad in this game will be the last time you get any of my money, so how do I or you go about making sure that I can get the most out of this game and visit all the neat parts of the world without feeling like there are just d*#*!eads out there waiting to murder newbies? Seriously, PvP is one of the primary reasons I never played MMORPGs, there are plenty of bullies, thieves, and general wankers in real life that I don't want to associate with, why would I pay you to play in a game with those same people? I WANT to be convinced this will be fun.

How much of this game will be playable by someone with a generally isolationist mindset? I know there is supposed to be a mechanic for economics and the requirement of trade with other communities and whatnot for supplies, but what if I just want to go kill a dragon? Is this game going to be playable at all in single-player (or two- to three-player) mode?

My wife respectfully requests that you guys quit slacking around out there and send her some more Adventure Decks.

Two new downloads for me!

So, I really like the idea of this, the layout is good, I like that there are wand slots (I wish there were also scroll slots!).

But, I am about to go in and create these for 7 PCs across approximately 115 chronicles. There is no way in the world that I am going to be able to do this in a manner that is legible by hand. My handwriting, on the BEST day, looks like a drunken, epileptic chicken ran across a sandy parking lot in a windstorm while being chased by Garble Facechomper on a tricycle.

For the love all that is holy in the world, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make this a form-fillable pdf that is separate from the guide itself.

Barring that, is it acceptable for me to create my own form-fillable document using the same layout? If I do so, and promise to send a copy to Mike or John or Mark for vetting, can we then distribute such a form in here somewhere?

The Exchange 5/5

And on Eyes of the Ten, no less.

Now the big question is: how long to crank through ninety more scenarios?

The Exchange

Dearest Golems and Goblins,

You can imagine my joy when I walked onto my front porch this afternoon and was faced with a whopping big box o' Paizo goodness. You guys sure do ship stuff fast.

Sadly, my woo's turned to boo's when I opened up my goodies to find that my Huge Black Dragon miniature had apparently been the target of a Sunder attack at some point. His right wing is completely snapped off at the base, and he will spend the rest of his days flying in depressing clockwise circles.

I don't suppose you have any of these floating around that are a little more hale and hearty? The PCs are going to wet their chainmail undies laughing at this guy.

I sent an e-mail, as well, just in case that's the better tack for this sort of thing.

The Exchange 5/5

That took forever! Maybe #3 will be a little quicker.

Why is that I am a subscriber to the PF RPG, the PF Campaign Setting, the PF AP, the PF Companion, and PF Modules, but none of it shows up on my posts? I feel left out!

Sad dwarf barbarian is sad.

The Exchange 5/5

I was perusing the event listing for GenCon 2011 and noted that they list only 6 seats for the 4-session lvl 12 arc (Eyes of the Ten). Holy Schmoly! Surely there are more than 6 of us who want to take our hard-earned XP and get all up in the business of the Decemvirate.

Does anyone know of other lvl 12 play that might take place this year in the Southeastern US?

Estragon al'Godot - dwarf barbarian, lvl 11, ready to kick some high-level booty.

So weapons get the delightful flaming/frost/shocking/etc enhancement for a +1 bonus cost.

The next level of that, the flaming burst/icy burst/shocking burst/etc enhancement is a +2 bonus cost.

If I have a +1 frost waraxe (total enhancement of +2) and want to add icy burst, how does that work exactly?

Do I now have a +1 frost icy burst waraxe, that does +1d6 cold (from frost) and +1d6 cold (from icy burst) and then extra damage on a crit for a total bonus of +4? (+1 regular, +1 frost, +2 icy burst). This would clearly have an enhancement cost of 32k gold

Or do I have a +1 icy burst waraxe, that does just the 1d6 cold from icy burst and then extra damage on a crit, for a total bonus of +3 (+1 regular, +2 icy burst). This would clearly have an enhancement cost of 16k gold.

In other words, is the icy burst a +1 upgrade from the frost, or does it ADD?

Coldly yours, Estragon al'Godot

Okay, this is extremely cheesy, but I have a question.

Could a caster use both Vital Strike and Arcane Blast?

Arcane Blast - standard action, sacrifice a spell slot and emit a ranged touch attack (ray) that does (2+spell level)d6 of damage.

Vital Strike - standard action, single attack at highest BAB, double the base damage.

The question is this, can I Vital Strike with an Arcane Blast? If so, does it do 4d6+(spell level)d6? Or is it (2*(2+spell level))d6?

My breath is bated, but the cheesiness of this also indicates that it may also be baited (for mousies).

The Exchange

This seemingly innocuous little trait from Cheliax, Empire of Devils provides a +4 trait bonus on Bluff checks to keep others from noticing my aggressive actions.

Does this include Bluff checks to feint in combat? Because that's an aggressive action that I don't really want my target to notice.

I know we JUST finished PaizoCon and that GenCon is rearing her head, but I wanted to see if we could look forward just a bit to DragonCon down in Atlanta as well. That's my other big con for each year, and I was wondering who the on-site coordinator for it was going to be, so I could offer to run a session or two.

The Exchange 5/5

I have played in several mods that appear never to have been reported. Also running a few that appear not to have been reported (run at small cons, not hosted by me).

Is there any mechanism by which I can go in and list the scenarios my character has played in/I have run?

If you look at my character, he appears to have been played in only two scenarios (last year at Dragon Con), but that is not correct.

The other mods I have played in have apparently never been reported.

Well, sadly, I have reached the point where my available space and money has gotten smaller than my gaming collection. I hate to do it, but please cancel my subscriptions to Companion, Chronicles, and Adventure Path. I hope to be able to pick back up again in the future, but I am stretched a little thin right now, and I don't have anybody to play with anyway at the moment.

Keep up the good work.

Pathfinder folks,

I hate to say it, but I have too much gaming stuff and too little money/space/play time to fit it all in. If you could please cancel my subscriptions to Adventure Path, Chronicles, and Companion, I would appreciate it. Hopefully I will be able to pick back up in the future.

Thanks for some great products, and keep up the good work.
