Azhar and Cassian: Gravlax slowly nods as Fiosa speaks.
"That makes me a lot more comfortable," he says. "I will still do some preparation, but if she is playing fair, I can let her live." "Put me down for that street festival, too. Especially if it lasts long into the night. There's got to be a god or goddess that'll sponsor that one, right?"
Azhar and Cassian: Gravlax nods. "I am in favor. And if we want to give her pause about Cassian, I should probably disguise myself as him. It doesn't cost money or magic, just takes time -- and might buy another second in combat."
"Is it wrong of me that the preparation and logistics are my favorite parts of this?"
Azhar and Cassian: "True, but I'd like to know that we have some idea of how to bypass the thing in greater quantity than Azhar and Amaya and a bag of holding. Even if we can't rationally prepare for all the eventualities."
Gravlax smiles briefly. "For economic reasons, if nothing else."
Azhar and Cassian: "Please bring in Khaz. I agree that the only way to do this is all-in."
"What were you anticipating, Fiosa, that we didn't see? What is the hole in the puzzle shaped like?" "...for that matter, we need a way to get past the prismatic wall."
Azhar and Cassian: "I'm not going to lie. I really like Cassian's idea of funneling others to the moon. I think that would keep her from tuning any defenses too specifically towards us. And what hardy group of adventurers wouldn't want to visit the moon and kill what they find there?"
"But some of that is selfishness. Westcrown is safe, or safe-ish. I'd like to live to enjoy that. Azhar's point is solid, and my only counter-point is this: preparation." "If we're going to walk away from this encounter, we need preparation on our side. We need our prep to be superior to hers." "Are there any magic items that might specifically be helpful? Other than the ability to fly and any pig or hair resistance? What do we know about the religion she's a part of? Could we find anything useful without extensive research? Azhar and Cassian: Gravlax shifts a bit, as he stands.

Cassian and Azhar: "Doubling for Crosael would be disturbing for me too, I assure you. The offer's there if you want it."
"Would we have to disable the portal from the moon? I'm kind of ignorant on magical matters. I'd be willing to go there again if necessary, but not on a one-way basis." "I don't have a problem with Zsz per se -- but I don't like having that portal in the middle of Westcrown. Given what all we know is on the moon, and might well come through of its own volition."
Where did we end up leaving the Harp? Is it with Zsz on the moon or is it in Westcrown?
Azhar and Cassian: "I was hoping more that the portal could simply be destroyed," Gravlax says. "I'm assuming there are ways to other places from the moon. I just don't like having one so close by. Let me know if I can help with the traps."
Gravlax thinks for a minute. "This includes if you need me to body double for the Mayor so that she can assist you out of the public eye."
"Mathalen, Gravlax, Fiosa..." he looks at Zsz as well, if she is still there, but does not say her name, "the rest of you. Do you think you can get the rest over to Cassian's? Unless you can think of a better place, of course." "Can do," Gravlax says. "It really is probably the safest option. Although Westcrown is officially a lot safer now, nobody knows it."

If anyone turns into a pig, Gravlax is going to attack Zsz directly. Not that he's paranoid about this or anything. Gravlax slowly nods.
Azhar, Cassian: ...if I'd been around, we wouldn't have..... Are they more or less evil than ... Gravlax shakes his head. Doesn't matter. Well, Zsz said she wouldn't object to their destruction if they're inherently evil. Shall we put this to the test?
No claims, although I'm tempted to claim the "belt of physical perfection +4" solely because everyone else has.
"Looked like she was keeping score." "Gotcha," Gravlax says, slowly nodding. He looks around at the statuary, broken and whole, the shards of glass, his gaze ending up on Mathalen. "We done here?"
"I'd rather that the statuary be disposed of the way everything else has been: by being either claimed or sold." "I can live with that," Gravlax says. "I can live with a lot of things, apparently. But I really would like to know what the deal was with the Marilith and that parchment. Anyone know?"
"OK. So why don't we find out what these are, then? If they're inherently evil, I promise I'll make no objections to their being destroyed."Azhar smiles a not altogether happy smile. "How long do you think it will take to find out what something like this can do? I'm not altogether concerned that they are evil, but the evil that can be done with them." "Not that I'm disagreeing with you, Azhar, but that's a very high standard," Gravlax says. "I will settle for (a) that they are not evil, and (b) that Zsz won't allow them to be used for evil so long as she lives here." He turns to Zsz. "That was the plan, right? You're pulling a Cassian and taking this place to live?"
Gravlax pauses, trying to think of a sensical way to ask the question. "What year is it, the last that you know?"
He glances up at the third floor mirror. "Hey, Azhar, you see that too?" "I saw it," Gravlax says. "I think. Shadowy figure, third floor mirror?"
"And what was that whole parchment thing about, anyway?"
"Ouch," Gravlax says. "So much for saving me for later, eh?" Round 4: Gravlax takes a step, and attacks Izmiara again, black blade happily carving.
"We will start with flaying." Her fiery eyes flash, and she smiles. "You're a hero aren't you." Her laugh is half-way between delighted chuckle and snarl. Gravlax tips his nonexistent hat.
Round 3: Gravlax takes a step and attacks Izmiara, confident that Mathalen can eventually put Azhar down.
"As you wish, Queen." Azhar moves slightly and attacks Gravlax and Cassian, the flat of his blade purposely passing over every single other member of the party, the tip passing dangerously close to Cassian's eyes before flicking away. "Back away please." he says calmly. Gravlax shakes his head sadly. "I'm going to insult her," he says. "And then I plan on adding injury to insult." To Izmiara: "Your mother dresses you funny."
Round 2:
Gravlax will take a step, if he can, and continue attacking the big man with the axe.
"And that is why dead gods are safest. Aroden is not likely to show up and tell me I'm doing it wrong." "I hope it's not terribly painful, Zsz. Painless is clearly too much to ask for with this one."

Round 4: Gravlax flips off the wall, lands about five feet away from where he had been hanging, and resumes his attack on the demon.
Round 3: Gravlax moves over to the remaining demon, and attacks. "How does it compare to the darkness in our hearts? I've never been much for philosophy."
Round 2: Gravlax takes another step, working his way around the demon as if cutting the rind off a thick fruit.

Round 1: Gravlax takes a little step to the side, and attacks the closest demon.
Gravlax nods. "Why stop now?"
"My apologies then. I thought your group was here to rid this place of its evil, not just replace one follower of Nocticula with another." Gravlax sighs. "Yes, this place is crawling with evil. And it would be nice to clear it out. But Cassian summarizes my own position well enough. My primary allegiance is to Westcrown." He is sincere when he says, "My own apologies if we are not the rescuers you hoped for. Yet here we are. Let's go."
Gravlax snorts. "Why not? I'll trust her to be impartial."
Gravlax looks at the runes, but not too closely. "I never learned this one," he says. "It's not terribly pretty."
"Birds ... that explode into spores ..." "Being on the moon is awesome. Encountering the things that live here, less so."
Round 1:
Gravlax shakes his head, violently. He picks up his blade. Steps toward the remaining vrock, hacks at the thing.

"Er ... sandbox, I guess." He looks around at the exits. "Would it kill these people to have a friendly map with legend?" He sighs. "Probably would." "North?"
"Too many pits for my taste," Gravlax says.
Gravlax keeps his eyes firmly on the path, such as it is. "Cassian, may I recommend not setting up shop in this one when we've cleaned it out."
Zsz examines the outsider. "Her mind has been destroyed by magic," she reports. Gravlax frowns. "Disturbing trend."
