Something I am curious about, almost all Zen archer builds I have seen include rapid shot as a first level feat. I am wondering about the reason behind this as rapid shot gives you two shots each at a -2 which is the same as flurry gives so it seems redundant to me. Is it because you combine it with many shot at higher level as opposed to flurry? Thanks for any thoughts.
My group will most likely reach Misgivings today and I could swear that I saw somewhere that once a haunt is triggered it only sticks around for one round before disappearing until the next day. I glanced in the book and can't find that and right now I am stuck doing housework <shudder> so I thought I would see if I could tap the community mind for some help.
Just had a player ask me a question about the warpriest ability to add disruption to a weapon with their Sacred Weapon ability. If you are not familiar with it here is the text: Sacred Weapon (Su): Weapons wielded by a warpriest are charged with the power of his faith. In addition to the favored weapon of his deity, the warpriest can designate a weapon as a sacred weapon by selecting that weapon with the Weapon Focus feat (if he has multiple Weapon Focus feats, this ability applies to all of them). Whenever the warpriest is wielding a sacred weapon, he treats his warpriest level as his base attack bonus for attacks made with that weapon, stacking with any base attack bonus from other classes or racial Hit Dice. In addition, the warpriest sacred weapon damage is based on his level and not the weapon type. The damage for Medium warpriests is listed on Table 1–13; see the table below for Small and Large warpriests. If the weapon normally deals more damage than this, its damage is unchanged. This increase in damage does not affect any other aspect of the weapon. The warpriest can decide to use the weapon’s base damage instead of the sacred weapon damage—this must be declared before the attack roll is made. At 4th level, the warpriest gains the ability to imbue his sacred weapon with divine power as a swift action. This power grants the weapon a +1 enhancement bonus. For every four levels beyond 4th, this bonus increases by +1 to a maximum of +5 at 20th level. These bonuses stack with any existing bonuses the weapon might have, to a maximum of +5. The warpriest can imbue a weapon with any of the following weapon properties: brilliant energy, defending, disruption, flaming, frost, keen, and shock. In addition, if the warpriest is chaotic, he can add anarchic and vicious. If he is evil, he can add mighty cleaving and unholy. If he is good, he can add holy and merciful. If he is lawful, he can add axiomatic and ghost touch. Adding any of these properties consumes an amount of bonus equal to the properties base cost (see Table 15–9 of the Core Rulebook). Duplicate abilities do not stack. The weapon must have at least a +1 enhancement bonus before any other properties can be added, whether normally from itself or granted by this ability. The warpriest can use this ability one round per day per warpriest level, but these rounds do not need to be consecutive. The enhancement bonus and properties are determined the first time the ability is used each day, and cannot be changed until the ability is used again the next day. These bonuses only apply while the warpriest is holding the weapon, and end immediately if the weapon is sheathed or leaves the warpriest’s possession. This ability can be ended as a free action at the start of the warpriest’s turn (and that round does not count against the total duration, unless the ability is resumed). If the warpriest uses this ability on a double weapon, the effects only apply to one end the weapon.
The question was is it possible to use disruption on a non-blunt weapon (normally distruption is blunt only). I am leaning towards no but thought I would throw it out there for thoughts.
I have been putting together a new summoner for PFS using Hero Labs. And I'm wondering if it is figuring the attacks correctly. Case 1: Creature with limbs and pincers. It lists the two attacks as str + bab. Even though these are secondary attacks I am assuming there is no -5 due to these being the only attacks. Case 2: Creature with limbs and pincers plus a bite. It lists the two pincer attacks as str + bab -5 (as a secondary attack) plus a bite at str + bab. This makes sence to me (especially know that I've typed it out). Just making sure everything is lining up right.
Looking at the order it looks like Modern Navel Battles III is unavaiable and the Dungeon Crawler Miniatures—From the Depths: Plant Vine is on backorder. Would it be possible to put these into my sidecart and let the rest of the order ship. I'm hoping to use a couple of the things as stocking stuffers. Thanks,
Quick question about the spell sand whirlwind: A whirling cloud of sand strikes the target, blinding it and
The question is does this spell force an automatic concentration check any time the victim tries to cast a spell or just when something else would force a concentration check? a) Victim tries to cast a spell and due to the sand must make a concentration check at 15 + 2*spell level + spell level due to spell. b) Victim tries to cast a spell and due to being adjacent to a enemy decides to cast defensibly so must make a concentration check at 15 + 2*spell level + spell level due to spell. c) Something else :)
I have a bunch of Tannhauser items in my side card currently (in two sets, looks like one item maybe out of stock) and it says they will ship with the next available subscription, which is what I want. They have been there for a couple of weeks and I was expecting them to go out with my January subscription (which just shipped yesterday) but they didn't. Could you please see what happened. Thanks,
I am looking for a feat or trait that on a failed reflex safe for evocation spell the target is dazed (I believe that is the status) for a round. I am trying to rebuild a character that was stolen (okay the backpack it was in) and I can't seem to find it. I know it's out there but I seem to be blind today. :)
Would it be possible to add Eminate Domain from Tasty Minstril Games and Dungeon Run from Plaid Hat Games to order #1886230 without delaying it? I am hoping to get it by the middle of next week othewise the wife will be short presents and her stocking will almost empty. Also do you recommond a faster shipping option at this point. Thanks,
Would it be possible to move the Ancient Lilies Dice Bag to the side cart so the rest of the order may ship? It's all Christmas presents for my wife (including almost all of her stocking stuffers). Is there a list anywhere yet of the rule differences between Core rules and the beginner box? I know there are no attacks of opportunity but am wondering about others. I will be playing or running Saturday (depending on attendance) so i figure a quick cheat sheet would be handy. Anyone got their hands on a copy yet? I have to wait till after work to go get one (boo hiss). Martin
The pearl of power enables the possessor to recall anyone spell that she had prepared and then cast that day. Easy enough but what if a cleric had prepared say a bless but spontanously casts it as a cure light and then uses a pearl of power to recall the spell? Does it recall as a bless or a cure light. You can blame my wife for this question as she is thinking of getting one for her cleric and came up with this. :)
I just signed up for two PFS games at Origins and the wife is in three so it's now time to create our very first PFS characters and I have a question or two just to make sure we get it all right. 1) Are the only traits available those in the APG? 2) Are there any "official" Paizo produced products that we should steer away from as no longer valid? This order shipped 3/11 and I have not seen it yet. I asked about it on the 25th ( http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/paizo/customerService/orderNumber16388 53 ) and was asked to wait a week to see if it showed up. Unfortuntly it still hasn't. If you choose to ship out a new order out it may make more sense to wait until my next map subscription mails out if that works for you. Thanks,
This order has been showing as pending for 13 days now. I am guessing something isn't in stock is the hold up but since it's almost all stuff that you were running out of I wanted to check and see what the exact hold up was so as you don't run out of other prime goodies before it ships. Thanks,
