Who did you report the errors to?

I used the report a problem link on the session listing for the event which goes to pfsreportingerrors@paizo.com

A few months back, I reported a few errors with online reporting of a few events I played but to this day they still haven't been fixed. Are these even being looked at by anyone?

I can't seem to find the boons for "Welcome to Starfinder Society" boon ("Elixer of Renewal", "Tattoo of the Starfinder", "Spellgem Cache"). Has it not bee added?

The StarFinder FAQ could be a bit easier to find. Finally found it through the StarFinder rules forums (it's at http://paizo.com/starfinder/faq if anyone else is trying to find it). It is not is not even listed in the More FAQs side bar when looking at other FAQs. Even a Google search failed to reveal where it was.

Actually doing some checking and it appears errata is listed on relevant product pages if applicable, the FAQs aren't. This would be real useful.

Picked up a Bigger Basic map today and judging from the map I got, it appears that folding four layers is a lot rougher on the map than three layers.

Don't know how the specific dimensions of 27" by 39" was come up with, but I think 30" by 40" (or any other multiple of 8") would have worked out a lot better. You could then fold it length wise for three layers then fold it back and forth an arbitrary number of times.

If the 27" by 39" was a magic size for some reason, then rotating the 8" x 10" tiles ( going from 8"+8"+8"+3" by 10"+10"+10"+9" to 10"+10"+7" by 8"+8"+8"+8"+7" would then allow five layers of three layers each and fold much better.

FAQ: How many animals can I have at any given time?

If you have an eidolon active in a scenario, you can't also ride a dog. However this rule doesn't restrict summoning further creatures, so I believe using a riding dog plus the summoner's summon monster class ability would work.

That FAQ is from 2011, shouldn't that rule have made it into the player's guide by now?

This part of the faq though leads me to believe that both the dog and eidolon are fine:

In general, a mount, a familiar or mundane pet, and your class-granted animal(s) are acceptable, but more than that can be disruptive.

There was a mounted summoner playing in some local games in my area for a while too.

He wasn't using his eidolon as a mount, but was riding a flying bat. Usually for recon or to stay out of trouble, while his pets do the fighting.

Of note - technically that's not PFS legal. Per the PFS rules - you're only ever allowed one animal/pet etc which includes animal companions, eidolons etc. This is to keep the game flow going as they don't want too many extra things on the table.

I just scoured the latest player's guide looking for rule and cannot find it. Is this an actually rule or an unwritten one?

Dusting off my summoner and converting him to unchained, which I bought a riding dog for after the last time I played him.

As far as I can tell, there are no close group slashing weapons. Is there a particular reason for this?

It wasn't so much as we couldn't deal with it as it seemed to coming up way too often. So far the only one to die as a result of Confusion is

Spoiler:
The merchant's kid in the tunnel when we were first entering Kaer Maga in The Asylum Stone

I was not involved in Shattered Star, and I haven't utilized a lot of confusion effects lately.

However, this is a common complaint among my players. I feel I have to point out that the 1st level protection spells offer a second saving throw at a bonus. A good aligned character can take protection from chaos and order too. Wizards get scribe scroll for free, and 1st level spells make for pretty cheap aids against confusion. If all else fails, perhaps dispel magic?

I'm not unsympathetic, but my players also complain about fear effects and paralysis. Remove fear and remove paralysis are not high level spells and immediately suppress these effects. As does remove sickness. These are all cheap scrolls and potions.

Poison sucks too, but delay poison is a low level spell, and if you're really cheap antitoxin is quite affordable.

And while we're at, who doesn't hate those damn swarms? Paizo overuses swarms. We all know that. May I suggest swarm suits? Or alchemist's fire as low-cost cures?

I'm not trying to be sarcastic, truly. But encounters tend to teach a lesson and encourage groups to adapt and be prepared. Many sucky negative conditions have fairly low level and accessible solutions.

Prot/Evil does not help with confusion unfortunately. I have a clear spindle ioun stone in a wayfinder so if Prot/Evil worked I would be covered.

I have gotten my will saves up to +9 which I think is pretty decent for a level 12 fighter. I have an innate bonus to fear effects but it rarely comes up. If the GM says make a will save, there is a good chance it is a confusion effect.

We do have the ability to remove a lot of those conditions but the main issue here is I think there needs to be more variety in the hazards you encounter. A similar thing happened with my rogue in Serpent Skull. He only had one good save. But I don't think it was until near the end of book for I had to make a reflex save. If one occurred, it was like 1 or 2 times a book and the few traps we ran into targeted AC instead. There were plenty of will and fort saves to make though. Eventually we started running into things making area of effect attacks so it became useful but before then, it was pretty much useless.

I am currently playing in a Shattered Star campaign and am current in book 4 and there seems to be a fondness for using creatures that cause Confusion. While it is too late for Shattered Star, I do think it was extremely overused in that AP and needs to be dialed back a bit.

How was this item changed? Is it something a Sylph pure wizard would be interested in? I can chase down an updated chronicle sheet but I would like to know if it is worth it first.

Can we search for phrases? I wanted to look through the PRD for spells that might help with will saves. I entered ""will saving throw" (with the quotes like I would do on google) but wound up with a search on each of the words, including variants. I want to be able to search for exact phrases.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Okay, since the art assets and technology is going to have to be developed anyway, any chance of also getting a standalone character designer application that can be used to design character portraits that can be put onto character sheets (or make pawns out of, etc.) out of this?

Just got my Inner Sea World Guide and was wondering something. If the Golarion calander is supposed to track with the real calander with a 2700 year bias, why are leaps years 8 years apart?

I am running a group of people through Kingmaker and they will be starting their kingdom soon. Looking through the kingdom rules, there doesn't seem to be any provision for paying salaries to the people in leadership positions except for the general money withdrawal mechanism which comes with an unrest impact. I am thinking of adding something but not sure what a good amount would be for various kingdom sizes would be. Any suggestions?
