Genevieve Vossare and her twin brother never knew their mother, though they would have been hard pressed not to know her reputation. The life, and indeed the rather ignominious death, of Madrigail Vossare was a subject upon which few were lacking an opinion. These opinions had a large impact on the twins’ early life, and many who knew their mother expected great things, thrusting them eagerly onto the stage, where they quickly distinguished themselves amongst their peers. Genevieve never quite matched Koveluss’ dramatic flair, but her naturally analytical mind was a perfect fit for the complex, almost ritualistic performances required from many of the newer plays written with the Asmodean faith in mind.
Of course, not everyone held positive opinions for their mother, and while Koveluss’ somewhat more ‘distinctive’ appearance meant he usually bore the brunt of these negative emotions, Genevieve quickly learnt the benefits of a well timed placation.
The twins’ father was a cruel, often short tempered man, and his anger was usually directed towards his son, whom he would frequently banish from his home for weeks on end. It was during these times he would insist upon teaching his Art to Genevieve, he was never a great wizard, but he was a proud one and was determined that his daughter would learn from him. She would, however, leave at every opportunity to find her brother, bringing him food or clothes and while this did not go unnoticed, their father’s anger always seemed relatively restrained when directed towards his daughter.
Appearance:
Genevieve Vossare measures about half a foot shorter than her brother, her dark hair is usually bound away from her face to fall loosely between her shoulder blades. Her slight frame is quite a contrast to Koveluss’ hulking torso, and this is exaggerated by the costume she often wears for her performances; thigh-high, heeled boots and a long velvet dress of scarlet and gold, with high slits on either side.
Her clothing when not on stage however, is noticeably more demure. This is a comfortable, though still quite elegant affair of red and black cotton that includes the practical elements of a pouched belt and a thick hooded cloak.
No matter what else she wears, she is never seen without the spiralled silver necklace that she inherited from her mother. Enwrapped within the silver at her throat lies a spherical red gemstone, seeming to hold a dull internal light that occasionally flares when Genevieve displays strong emotion.
