The main problem I see that we had was gabbing at the door. Twice (or was it three times) we lined up and then decided to have Shi check the door. Since she usually took time to log in and respond, that gave us time to hang ourselves. The epitome of that was when Z opened the door and then Shi came forward and checked for traps while our buff spells ticked away. This gave Zey ample opportunity to buff himself to an extreme we could not match since we were low on spells. Tactical mistakes?
1) Not drawing the beasts out to the center of the room in the first fight in order to get flanking. We had THREE characters that benefited from flank attacks for heavens sake and failed to take advantage of it until late in the fight.
2) That bluff attempt on the Palidan+2 was a good idea executed VERY poorly. Always assume Pathfinders have detect evil I guess. We did OK once we got into melee range, but those ranged rounds were killers.
3) Joli should have done a vanish spell and engaged the mage in the second battle. Still, even with step up, a mage can move before she casts. Joli would have gotten an AOO but getting disruption to work is hard. Can you do a delay and use it to stay next to an opponent? That would be nice.
3) Not buffing before we got to Zey's door and not having Shi go forward alone to check for traps. This was the biggest stupidest thing we did wrong.
4) Make some damn saving throws. Not a tactical mistake but failing the feeblemind and taking full damage from his area effect spells did us in.
5) Dispel the fly instead of the mirror image? Maybe? I don't know at that point if it would have mattered though.
6) The fly spell on Z would have been better, but Joli was also a good choice. I don't know how you could have known ahead of time.
7) You were very defensive in the second fight with your spells casting displacement and minor globe of invulnerability on yourself. Those were wasted spells. Not sure if that was a tactical mistake or just hindsight though.
8) I think I should have delayed Gassy until Zey cast and breathed gas instead of attempting to grapple.

Gassy charges (provided he's allowed a charge with that goo on him) in an attempt for a grapple. +2 to hit, -2 to AC.

Gassy will charge in flight the crossbowman to the north, ripping it to shreds. +2 to hit, -2 to AC.

I double checked my tag line and it looks good. The slow and haste cancelled each other.
Suggestion: A darkness on the image (breaking line of sight) or a dispel magic might cancel the projected image.

Gassy (yes, I've decided on a nickname - I sure as heck don't want to try to remember Gazwyr), flies around the cordoned area to the south and engages Zey (150' flight makes that simple). By popular demand, in spite of his less than stellar grappling skill, he will attempt to grapple.
grapple: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
Yes, that was certainly less than spectacular. With Aram so close to the side of the room, I'm afraid his wings got caught up in the bookshelves.
"Finally, a leader of the evil Pathfinders. How DARE you imprison my kind in that magical jail!. I will have my revenge!"
I strongly suspect an illusion of some sort. I was hoping the grapple would confirm, but with that role all I've done is given him a nice compact lump of PCs to fry.

I have a couple of questions:
1) How high is the ceiling and may I get to 20' high flying?
2) If Gazwyr breathes straight down from 20' high, the area of affect on ground level would not be a cone, but a circle. By my calculations it would be a 20' radius spread. Am I correct?
3) Gazwyr is terribly worried that his corrosive breath would ruin these terribly valuable scrolls lining the walls. Is it possible to capture Zey in the area without damaging the scrolls? He seems annoyingly determined to stay near the library walls!

Death Attack is rather pointless. I thought it was a freebie you could attach to a normal blow. Not.
Knockout, on the other hand, is. So I would give it a try.
I was thinking the dust of darkness worked like a darkness spell centered on the person, but it doesn't. I needed to read that better. So putting it on Shi could be rather nice.
The scroll of dispel is caster level 12 so he gets quite an bonus on that roll. It really depends on how much you hate the spell they cast. Say they cast confusion on him and he gets a round of clarity. He might just want to use it then :) Its just that he is getting low on spells so it may be the best alternative.

I have some tactical suggestions:
322: Even though you are short of spells you have dust of darkness (which would be awesome on the dragon or really anyone with darkvision) and a scroll of slay living. Very nice. Also the Gift of Madness is quite powerful and remember to activate your cloak of darkness.
Joli: Use Vanish and then run/fly to get to a mage and use disruptive bloodrage. You can move very far if you run. I figure you already planned on that from previous comments.
Z: Use your potion of invisibility to set up your death attack. Use it at the beginning of the fight to pare down the number of opponents if we get lucky. Also use your knockout ability ASAP. This should take precedence over blinding/tripping.
Rataji: With all the preparation we've been doing I expect them to be buffed. If so use the Dispel Magic scroll on them, particularly if they are hasted. You are also way low on spells, but you still got your big hitter, confusion. You may also want to glitterdust them BEFORE they go invisible. Note: update your spell list. I think you already cast Magic Missile and Shield. You are getting pretty low on spells too!
Shi: It doesn't matter WHAT you do with those rolls! No wonder you broke out the true strike wand. Use the Debilitating Injury: Hampered more often, particularly if they are spell casters or using a bow or something that gives an AOO if you use it. Also, with True Strike combat maneuvers rock! I like the whole smokestick strat.
I could have sworn someone had a protection from arrows that would be well used on one of the flyers.

G, as he briefly names himself to give it a try, is not used to acting in a team. He's not sure if he likes how these agents keep calling Z by his initial, at least he thinks it is jut an initial, and he's certainly not sure he want's to be called G by anyone, but it does kind of work when he tries it mentally. And in an emergency situation it makes sense to shorten a name to improve response time. But why aren't the others called by their initials too? And why bother out of combat? And these plans of theirs are quite confusing. He's relatively sure some of the comments are jokes, or insults, he's not sure which (like that one about tying each other up, or wanting to get hit by a fireball), which seems like a waste of time and even counterproductive, and hellashishly confusing!
What he gets out of their plan: get away from them as fast as possible so he doesn't get caught up in whatever mess it is they get into. They will probably still be jabbering when the door opens.
