Thanks for GMing!

"I think we just did, nufriends! We turned off M2 and her hiding spots! You can all return to your normal lives, doing mundane tasks - I suggest you all start with a shower! Now, what is it captain? Another salvage?"

"I know just the thing that will make you feel fine!"

For round 4, Gazigaz will draw a serum of healing and prepare to make Dakoyo drink it.

Apparently you've all had credit for the adventure since December. So check your characters' on-line records too, not just the chronicle sheet.

I did notice the module was already reported there - I thought it was some sort of pre-reporting I hadn't seen before! I've playing SFS for only about 6 months, so every game turns out some new stuff.

The sheet is right on the money, thanks!

"Aww, do we have to do this? M2 doesn't seem so bad now!"

Draft Chronicle sheets are here.

M2 has denied access to the sheets!

Gazigaz has a rough choice of skills, but otherwise this module is quite nice - way more deadly than I expected!

Gaz finds Dakoyo floating by node 2. His companions armor is scorched from an electrical arc. Several nearby electrical boxes spark randomly.

"Yikes!"

Gazigaz approaches the floating corpse carefully, and if he's not fried up as well, will try an untrained Medicine check for First Aid.

Untrained Medicine the best kind of medicine: 1d20 ⇒ 13

"I think Dakoyo touched a socket with his stethoscope - I have no idea how he's doing!"

This might be my round 4 action - lots of walking before that skill check

"Quonx, go check out node 3 - but be careful with the radiation! I'll go see if Dakoyo went to sleep again!""

Gazigaz will move to Node 2 as part of his round 3 action.

"Lookie! I found one! Hey, don't you guys find it weird that M2 isn't trying to defend these nodes at all? That is so silly!" He sends the location to Quonx.

Fortitude: 1d20 ⇒ 17

And he goes off looking for node 5... and passes right by it.

Int check: 1d20 ⇒ 7

1d20 ⇒ 13

Gazigaz keeps staring at the pretty lights and finds nothing.

Gazigaz jumps into the tunnel and starts looking around... but everything looks the same to him.

Intelligence: 1d20 ⇒ 11

"Is there an off switch? Can we pull cables out of sockets or batteries out of... battery places?"

Though considering previous experiences in this ship, Quonx will probably have to do the all hard work

"Well, Quonx, what do we do?"

"Oh-oh. I hope everybody up there has environmental protections!" Gazigaz turns his on.

"Do you think these small sized 'Maintenance Tunnels' will do us any good?" he points to the access hatch.

"I'll help!" Gazigaz moves into the engine room, grabs the datapad and gives it to Quonx.

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

"That wasn't so bad! Anyone see a fire extinguisher? And a cart we can roll our new robot in?"

"Ouch, you jerk! Uh, where did everyone go? Get...him?" Gazigaz uses Get’em on the robot again (+1 to attacks) and uses a move action to pick up his tactical baton from the floor.

Is the robot adjacent to Gazigaz now? In the map he's still away 15 ft. away

"Uh-oh! He looks kinda mad! Or just full of static electricity! Let's find out!" Gazigaz uses Get’em on the robot again (+1 to attacks) and shoots:

Static arc pistol vs. EAC: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 4 + 1 = 16
Electricity: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

And your hyper - get back beyond Gazigaz and Dakoyo, I'm in full health and Dakoyo could use the incentive to wake up

"That is so drift! Let's turn him off and bring him with us!" Gazigaz uses Get’em on the robot again (+1 to attacks) and shoots at it again:

Static arc pistol vs. EAC: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 4 + 1 = 17 Jinx!
Electricity: 1d6 ⇒ 2

Get'em works until "the start of my next turn", so it was valid

"Ouch, look out! Knock it down!" Gazigaz uses Get’em on the robot again (+1 to attacks) and finally shoots it himself!

static arc pistol vs. EAC: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 1 = 7
electricity: 1d6 ⇒ 2

To no effect!

I volunteer to bot Dakoyo, if that’s okay.

"Aw, he's not that impressive after all. Let's aim for that off switch, guys!" Gazigaz uses Get’em on the robot again (+1 to attacks) and grabs his static arc pistol from the floor (2 move actions).

He'll stay prone, since it's very advantageous against ranged attacks.

On a second thought, I’ll change my vote to skip the starship combat - I signed up for a lot of games on Outpost III and really need to clear some room.

If the majority wants to do it I’ll man the gunner seat, otherwise I prefer to wrap up after we deal with the ship’s AI.

That looks like it hurts, Nako! But I bet it didn’t hurt as much as it looked!” Inspiring Boost on Nako, 8 stamina points back.

Ah, it’s the robot the passengers told us about! It looks really cool! Let’s see how good it is!” Get’em on the robot (+1 to attacks).

Fortitude: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (20) - 2 = 18

"But I don't want to do the dishes!...Zzz... hmm, what? What?"

The ambient light ramdonly reflects off Gazigaz's Static arc pistol (small arms, 1d6 Electricity; critical arc 2), just laying on the floor next to one of his hands, catching Quonx's attention...

"Wake me up before you go-go
Don't leave me hanging on like a yo-yo
Wake me up before you go-go
I don't want to miss it when you hit that high...
"

Fortitude: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (13) - 2 = 11

"...zzz... just five more minutes...zzz..."

I think it boils down to:

Gazigaz: gunner +4
Nako: gunner +3
Quonx: pilot +2
Dakoyo: magic officer or a very crummy captain

Edit: Actually, I think we are better off if Gazigaz is a gunner and uses Glide (minor crew action) to fly the ship, since we need the piloting ranks for AC and TL...

Gazigaz: gunner +4/pilot 2 ranks
Nako: gunner +3
Quonx: science officer +9/engineer +12
Dakoyo: magic officer +12 or a very crummy captain +6

Wait, Gazigaz is also the only character with ranks in piloting... oh boy.

These iconics are too nutty.

Quonx - Eijel wrote:
I actually enjoy starship combat and I believe Quonx would be the engineer. *Feign shock here*

You are actually our second best pilot, with a +2, so...

I don't mind starship combat, and this fella is a reasonable gunner (+4) - would we be using the Clutch or the Empyrean?

Edit: Actually, I believe Gazigaz is the best gunner of the party...

Fortitude: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (4) + 0 = 4

"Look at that... it does... smell... funny... in here..."

"Oooohhh!"

"That's where we turn off M2? What are we waiting for, let's go!"

He goes back into the corridor. "Nothing fun in there either!"

He approaches to read the display panel.

"What is it? It smells funny?" Gazigaz goes inside room 9 and looks around. Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

"Nufriend or nufoe, anyone here?"

Spoiler:
"Uh-oh, one of my greatest enemies: technology! We'll ask Quonx to open it later - if they locked, it must be important!"

Gazigaz turns to Dakoyo. "Let's check the baggages next! They sure will be happy if all their things are still there!"

Gazigaz walks inside and first looks under the beds, then tries the lockers.

Gazigaz opens the door to the crew quarters and takes a look inside.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22

Gazigaz moves towards the crew quarters. "Let's see if there's anyone else hiding in their beds - and if they left behind food we can bring to the passengers!"

"Let's turn the computer off and on again! Usually works with my comm unit, after I drop it!" Gazigaz moves towards the stairs.

"Looking a little sore there, Dakoyo - but I'm sure it's no big deal!" Gagigaz uses Inspiring Boost on Dakoyo, recovering 8 stamina points.

Nako and Quonx, please rest so I can use Inspiring Boost on you in the next battle xD

"Wow, that was easier than I expected!", exclaims Gazigaz, unhurt. "Now let's take over the bridge!"

Oops, jumped ahead.

"Get that non-eoxian zombie!" Gazigaz uses Get'em on the cyberzombie.

Static arc pistol vs. EAC: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 4 + 1 = 20
Electricity: 1d6 ⇒ 6

Gazigaz shoots the zombie and moves back to make room. "What?! But eoxians are usually so nice!"

Static arc pistol vs. EAC: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Electricity: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Gazigaz opens the door. "Anyone hiding in here too?"

"We could have run?!" Gazigaz smacks two hands on his forehead.

Then he stands there, waiting for Quonx to do his "magic" on the bridge door.
