I was kind of on the fence about releasing the grapple, but what made up my mind was the fact that the arms were up next. Since they were grappled by Quonx they'd also be subject to the same prohibited action wording, and arguably unable to continue the grapple with Quonx. With that reasoning, next round Quonx was guaranteed to go free.
Also I like The Ragi's analysis of the two hand action prohibition.

Eijel, not sure what happened to move Quonx either. I was just playing the board as I saw it. Thanks for rolling with the actions as stated, it helped preserve the flow.
The Ragi, a little while back you commented about the lack of skill overlap. On the plus side -- you've got every skill you need covered by one character. As long as you keep everyone alive, a very skittermander idea, then you'll succeed eventually. And it guarantees a spotlight moments to some of the characters.

OK. We're coming up on the end. There's an optional ship combat that we can run if you want. I am happy to run that or just give you a brief description of the action so that you see the complete story of this module.
One factor to consider is whether you want the characters that the skitters are playing for to be available for games in Outpost III.
Quonx - Eijel |
I actually enjoy starship combat and I believe Quonx would be the engineer. *Feign shock here*
Gazigaz - The Ragi |
I think it boils down to:
Gazigaz: gunner +4
Nako: gunner +3
Quonx: pilot +2
Dakoyo: magic officer or a very crummy captain
Edit: Actually, I think we are better off if Gazigaz is a gunner and uses Glide (minor crew action) to fly the ship, since we need the piloting ranks for AC and TL...
Gazigaz: gunner +4/pilot 2 ranks
Nako: gunner +3
Quonx: science officer +9/engineer +12
Dakoyo: magic officer +12 or a very crummy captain +6

Still here and in , sick 2yr old is limiting posting for now.

I feel bad 'cause the first time I botted Dak, I also ninja'd Anxa.
I haven't been waiting for him though. Yesterday was my 31st wedding anniversary. I thought I'd get a chance to post but never did.
I'll bot Dakoyo right now. Moving forward, Ragi, it can be any of us, but we have to wait at least 12 hours after everyone else has posted that round, to give Anxa a chance to post himself. It sucks when you come back to a game but can't jump right in because someone just botted you.

That second to last round was a real killer for you guys. The burn and the max damage crit took at least a round off the fight. Well played.
We've got eleven days to Outpost Three. I will try to throw the chronicles together this weekend so they are ready, if you survive. You still have a little bit left in the ship. Your current goal was Engineering to try to shut M2 down.
At last check you were split 2-2 on the optional ship combat. Anyone care to chime in again on whether to play that or not.

Draft Chronicle sheets are here.
Please check them carefully. Docchicago, I haven't filled in your faction. I need that info to complete the on-line report.
Guys, looks like you're all going to survive. You pretty much destroyed the scenario. It's been fun GMing for you. I'll narrate the optional ship combat after you deactivate the last node.
Nako!! |
I'm playing it for Dataphiles
Thanks for GMing! I had a great time!
Also, just so you know, I changed my username to FriendlyNeighborhoodMadScientis, if you were having trouble finding my character.

Draft Chronicle sheets are here.
M2 has denied access to the sheets!
Gazigaz has a rough choice of skills, but otherwise this module is quite nice - way more deadly than I expected!

You know all that won't fit in the tiny space they give me on the chronicle sheet, right? (I'll have the new sheet up soon.)
I've got docchicago down for dataphiles. I was able to edit the electronic report.
Incidentally, if you run one of these - don't do what I did. Because reporting the first game I ran turned into a fiasco, I wanted to set this one up in advance, and then just push a button to report it when we were done. Apparently you've all had credit for the adventure since December. So check your characters' on-line records too, not just the chronicle sheet.

I did notice the module was already reported there - I thought it was some sort of pre-reporting I hadn't seen before! I've playing SFS for only about 6 months, so every game turns out some new stuff.
The sheet is right on the money, thanks!
