"Ok, we're in. That's where you guys come in now. The rest is up to you. Here, take this and this. I'm going to the Forest Bounty. I really do need supplies."

Gasker nods to you, and heads through the middle of the small town.

"I'm Gasker Drolp. I'm headed to see Ma and Pa Tucket, among others. I need to pick up some more feed and supplies. These are my guards. The roads are dangerous this time of the year. Plenty of hungry beasts in the woods."

Gasker barely makes eye contact with the man, instead staring straight ahead at the open gate.

"I'm afraid it'll have to be whatever you have on hand that doesn't need cooking. I've got a few apples to spread around, but we really must get going. You can eat on the way, or, better yet, you can eat when we get there. We're only a couple hours away; it will be nice to sit in a proper chair in a tavern or something. And, it'll give you all an excuse to ask some questions."

No random encounters, yay!

Though the tension is high the entire night, not so much as a raccoon comes to investigate. Gasker groans as he gets up; he makes his way around the camp and raps lightly on your tent.

"We better get a move on. The sun's coming soon."

"There you are. Thanks the gods. Most of 'em, anyway. We better get moving if want to get there on schedule. We don't want to be shut out by the Andoren army."

Gasker helps get all the mounts prepared, and you head off again on the road toward Piren's Bluff.

Several hours pass before you need to stop again; you're close enough to Piren's Bluff. Only the dying light of the sun halts your progress. Starting a camp not so far from the road in a little clearing allows you all to grab something to eat, and to set watch for the night.

"Get some rest, all of you. You'll need it. We'll leave early enough in the morning to get to town as the sun cracks fully. The mounts are tired, and I certainly am as well."

Gasker cooks a fine, but simple, meal for you all around a small fire.

Set watches, perhaps? There's 8 hours to cover.

"Fine then. Meet your God in whichever manner you prefer." he says, with a wave of his hand. Gasker then begins to secure the mounts. He'll wait for Guligak to return, but if they need to make a run for it, they'll be able to.

"Leave it, proud warrior, it may just be the trees playing tricks with us. We should leave this place. We have a responsibility to get to Piren's Bluff. Bigger fish to fry."

The check is good enough for you all to hear it. Anybody speak Giant?

"Over there. Something's moving in the bushes.", Gasker points, but you are way ahead of him, nerves at the ready. You study the surrounding trees

Something is moving, fast, around you. It's about 400 feet away from you, but it seems to be circling you guys at the spring.

Something that sounds like a low rumbling seems to come from the obscured figure.

It doesn't seem to be getting any closer, and it's certainly not making any effort to conceal itself. At this distance, however, all you can make out is that it is large, and it is fast.

Did you guys hear something?

*fans self* Now there's a man. Andrea was a luck girl.

Your gear properly saddled, mounts excited, and with all the ceremony of a nod from Gasker, you set off beyond the small town and it's surrounding farms.

Your travel is quiet, and it's not until you stop to give the mounts some water at a nearby spring do you sense any movement around you.

Piren's Bluff is not so far. You will need to stop to rest two times during the travel. Oh, and can I have Perception checks from you all?

"Either way, I see you've found a new friend," says a man affixing the rest of the bundles on his cart. "Treat him well, and he'll carry you far. At least as far as Piren's Bluff, I hope. I just don't think you can take it for your wife. You know, legally."

He turns and waves to Guligak with a chuckle. "I'm Gasker, and I guess you're one of my guards. I hope the others arrive soon, I'd like to get moving."
