Either a new base class, or abilities for primary fighting classes (especially the fighter), to increase their damage ability. I want a paladin who can channel positive energy into his weapon dealing half his level in holy damage. I want a ranger who can one-shot prey with his bow. Warriors are more than just damage soakers; they are supposed to be damage dealers, too!

Ahhhh, beware the dice envy.

I'd rather do 1d8+30 as a warrior then 1d4+7d6 as a rogue. Sure the rogue is throwing down all of the dice, all of them, but he's still doing less damage on average.

True, I hear you. What I mean primarily is the fact that without magic, the fighter is pretty much restricted to 1 die (d4 through d12) +x, while the rogue and casters all increase with level. Maybe give fighters a feat or two that can increase +x? Increase crits from x2 to x3? More damage potential, please!

How about a true thief? I appreciate the rogue being able to be all kinds of sneaky, stealthy and skilled, but how about a real, cunning, scoundrel-y thief? I miss the good old days...

Not notice you're gone? Are you kidding? Clark, you were the best voice in years past of telling it like it is. The voice letting us know what we did wrong as well as what we did right, and you encouraged everyone to try. RPGSuperstar just won't be the same without you. I am sad to see that you will not be involved this year. Thank you for your insight, your encouragement and your valuable time. Maybe next year... :)

And this year, I do have an idea or two... :)

This was like opening the original Unearthed Arcana back in the 80's! All kinds of new fun, bright and shiny! I haven't been this excited from a gaming book in almost a decade. Thank you Paizo!

Open playtest! Woo-hoo! I love you Paizo!

775. Your hair, which seems normal until closely inspected, continually shifts and moves as it is actually comprised of very thin serpents.

776. You always smile, and not in friendly, warm way...

777. Your facial features are very pointed: pointed chin, high cheekbones, widow's peak, pointy ears, upswept eyebrows, slightly slanted eyes, ski-slope nose. You could be mistaken for an elf, except no elf looks like you...

778. Your skin has a mottled, marbled appearance.

779. Your eyes continually glow an infernal yellow-orange.

760. Your footprints are always those of a hooved biped, regardless of your actual feet.

761. You are surrounded by a faint pall of smoke, and constantly smell of fire.

762. Your musculature, bones and skin seem to be slightly disconnected from each other, causing your features to shift slightly and disturbingly whenever you move.

763. Your skin has a decidedly red color to it.

764. You have very bestial features, though definitely not a man-creature. Your eyes are feral, your canine teeth enlarged, your lips thin and black, and your hair thick and unmanagable. Your nails tend to be long and hard.

765. Your skin appears normal, but is tough and leathery to the touch.

766. Faint sounds of screaming and wailing accompany your speech, increased if you are a spellcaster whenever you cast any spell with the evil descriptor.

767. Animals fear you, shying away from your touch or becoming agressive, as they would near a predator.

768. Small plants, especially delicate flowers, whither at your touch (though this is not enough to harm plant creatures).

I don't know if its been mentioned, but the description of the "garuda" is very close to the race of bird-men in China Mieville's New Crobuzon books...

23. Grounding - redirect eletrical damage into the ground.

24. Arcing Bolt - lightning bolt that can arc around targets (ranged touch attack).

And a note on "mass" spells; I hate them. I just came up with a new feat for my games, "Mass Spell".

Man, it sucks not entering this year, but I just don't really have anything. Now, if we were submitting something sci-fi... Maybe next year! I can't wait to see the top 32, the "almost submitted", the gag items, and the feedback items, as well as the rest of the contest! Happy New Year all! :)

Boo-yeah! I'm so glad to see RPG Superstar 2010! I probably won't be entering this year (my mind is on sci-fi gaming), but I will be watching with avid interest!

I'm so looking forward to this. I have to say, I'm hoping its not going to start with wondrous items this time, not the least reason of which is I have nothing in mind for such an entry this year. I'm currently on a monster kick; tons of new critters have been buzzing around in my head this fall.

I would like to see a Pathfinder Tome of Horrors, but as someone earlier mentioned, kind of a "best of" compilation from all three Tomes. I do hope the best for Clark and Necro, but he needs to get on either the 4E or Pathfinder gravy train and ride it all the way, and soon.

I LIKE PIE! And Paizo! :)
