Round 35 ends 8/20 5:30 pm EDT
The party leaves quickly, abandoning the human stuck in the vortex. The creature seems to give chase slightly, the waters violently shaking the girl for 10 damage as it approaches the door. It seems to try to reach for the others but as it begins to leave the room the vortex loses it's shape. Katarina is tossed inside as the violent vortet retreats back into the water.

Katrina's first swing connects tho doing much less damage than she anticipated.
As Kahva runs away he gets smacked in the back of the head for 12 damage. The fleeing allowed for Troq to stand up from his prone state.

The creature then begins to swirl, its whole body turning into a giant vortex lifting the water around it into a funnel. The base of the vortex then begins to move and covers Katarina however the agile human is able to avoid taking the bulk of the damage but is unable to hold her footing as she gets sucked into the vortex taking 10 damage.

The group notices that while it's swirling around it's watery arms do not seem to reach out to slam anyone as it was before.

Katarina is trapped in the vortex and cannot move other than to escape. She suffers -4 to dex and -2 to attack rolls while in the vortex. Escape Artist, Swim or CMB to get out.

Kahva manages to cast a spell on Troq bringing him back to conscious. He wakes surrounded by water as he quickly sinks alongside his weapon. The Creature continues swinging his watery fist around but is unable to connect.

Remember you drop what's in your hand when you fall unconscious.

Some GMs are busy so pausing the game for a bit
The two orcs attack while the singing one flails about in the water until he realizes he can simply stay standing. Katarina seems frozen unable to decide what to do.

Troq just barely manages to connect while staying afloat despite the current he's above.
Ohfolk is still unable to faze the creature at all with his maneuvers.

The creature retaliates to Troq's hit, slamming a watery fist into him for 10 damage knocking him unconscious. It then turns it's attention towards Ohfolk a long watery fist slamming him for 8 damage.

Troq is unconscious and floating above a strong current. Ohfolk passed swim check and can move without additional checks.

Round 32 ends 7/31 9:30 pm EDT
The group begins their attacks on the newly formed shape of water. Katrina's daggers slice into it, her blades passing through it seeming to do minimal damage with her first swing and her second not impacting the water at all it seems. She's sure she hit the creature however the results almost say otherwise.
Troq does a heavy swing as he steps forward. The grate gives in but he's able to stay afloat and land a solid connection on the creature though not damaging it as much as he thought he would.
Ohfok joins in with a sweeping attack that fails to do anything.

The creature turns its attention to Troq, slamming it with two huge fists of water. The first one crashes just over his head but the second one smashing into him hard, catching him off guard for a critical hit for 21 damage.

As the melee continues another flood of water drenches those in the group not above a grate. Neither Katrina nor Kahva are able to withstand the downpour and find themselves swept away.

As Ohfok takes a step back he finds himself in a heavy current again but is able to manage.

Everyone above grate passed swim and may move out w/o additional rolls

The group manages to finally get themselves out of the deeper water and further into the room.

Suddenly the water takes shape before them raising up several feet above them.

Init R1: Troq, Kahva, Ohfok, Katrina, Creature

Kahva:

You recognize the creature as a Large Water Elemental. Being an elemental you know it has elemental traits:
Immunity to bleed, paralysis, poison, sleep effects, and stunning.
Not subject to critical hits or flanking. Does not take additional damage from precision-based attacks, such as sneak attack.

Additionally you know it's resistant to all forms of normal attack and has a bonus in when surrounded by water as it is now.
It's also able to turn into a vortex while in water making it so that any creature smaller than it caught inside the vortex to suffer damage.

The group seems content staying put. The current continues to pull those over the grate downwards. Katrina and Troq unable to withstand the current begin to sink under the water.

Kahva tries again to move but seems exhausted just bringing himself above water. As he begins to sink the human manages to grab on and drag him to the otherwise while the two works push his feet and rear from the other side.

As the group struggles a quick trickle of water suddenly becomes another downpour. This time the wave of water catches everyone off balance and the party finds themselves all swept away in different directions. Most of the party find themselves above a grate with a strong current pulling them down but all of them manage to stay above water.

Swim checks passed, those on top of grate may move off it w/o any additional checks assuming you are not entering another grate tile

The current proves too strong for Kahva as he tries to get back up. The orcs try to grab him to pull him up but the wet orcs have a hard time getting a grip as Kahva flounders below the surface of the water.
Katrina begins moving around to the other side to help as the whole group splashes about the water.
Kahva 1 rd breath held

Round 26 ends 7/12 2:00 pm EDT
Grabbing the rungs seems to help withstand some of the heavy current though it's not enough as Kahva fails to hold on while trying to move through. He is quickly sucked under as Katrina was before.
Kahva is underwater and holding his breath

As the party is reacting to what happened with Kavha the drops quickly turn into a heavy downpour then just a flood of water gushes down from above. Troq and Ohfok are able to withstand it, their swimming ability allowing them to stand their ground but Katrina is unable to hold on and is swept away slightly. The water quickly recedes and the room is back to normal.
