Keydas swam to the activation stone and used it to open the door, some water splashing out into the room beyond. The water elemental was buffeted by the rock that Valeria sent its way, a hole punched completely through the creature that took a few moments to fill back in. Ghyrryn and Kraath tore into the creature as well, their strikes visibly diminishing the creature as well. It struck back at the bear again, buffeting it across the head once more.
Kraath takes 8 damage

Keydas shouts, "Exit's open! Let's move!" He then moves to enter the next room.
The map won't let me move yet.

Snotra will ride Nod from the room and into the next one.
Posting is still spotty, but seems to be returning. Waiting on Keydas's action to see if everyone makes it into the next room.
DM Bigrin
Snotra froze, and that was all the indication Ghyrryn needed. He and Kraath attacked the water elemental simultaneously, and together they managed to disrupt it enough to kill it. Splashes of water flew around the room as the water elemental disintegrated into its components structures.
With the immediate danger gone, it was merely a matter of determined effort for everyone to make their way into the next room. It was a basic rectngle, with dark wood paneling around the walls. To the north and south stood giant statues, and in the center of the room on a rather nice looking woven rug sat a large wooden trunk.
Given the forum chaos, I am not sure when the next round kicks off, but expect it to be soon (tomorrow or Monday)

Keydas casts a cantrip, scanning the room for magical auras.
Casting detect magic, looking for anything obviously magical.
Valeria Turanor
Valeria was relieved when the elemental thing went down and she could get out of that room. It was a disturbing fight but they had made it through alright. She looked around at the room she was in now and noticed the statues first. The treasure chest was the next thing she spotted and the carpet was rather trivial. She really didn't like the looks of it all. She also, finally, saw the switch at the far corner of the room and thought the whole thing seemed too easy. She said quietly, "So who wants to bet those statues are going to attack us if we try to get past them or touch the chest?"
She noticed Keydas cast a spell and guessed at what he was doing. She asked him, [n]"Any magic?"[/b] She fully expected there to be but the question was a needed one.
Keydas Amrath
"Faint magic from the chest - Universal. Nothing else in the room shows magic, and I will not take that bet on the statues. Could you try opening the chest from afar?"
