Firaxus excitedly watches as the books are joined, and throws in a suspenseful melody to enhance the mood!

Firaxus looks down at his hand, then gently picks up the book, and puts it in a bag.

"Hm, seems like a wise plan to me! Let's see if there's anything interesting in this chamber, then get a move on!"

Perception: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (20) + 0 = 20

He leans forward, and reaches out to slam the book shut!

Firaxus moves forward 20ft, then begins playing his flute, adding to the chorus rising from the book.

He shouts:

Firaxus calls out, "Cirri, I think you might be right!" then hustles over to Rika.

What are those crystals Master Mido and Wadi are carrying? Seems like something to ask about later.

He nods in thanks, "You know, I never did learn how to swim" then attempts to pull himself up the rope.

Assuming that Rika pulled the chain with the "20" engraved on it

"I wonder if this water is actually supposed to rise high enough to lead us up to the stairs!

Firaxus trudges through the rising water over to the 4th door, with the number 4 written in Azlanti as Master Mido pointed out. "Do you think we need to get the water to the right level?" he shouts over the rushing water.

"Wow- great work fellow Pathfinders!" Firaxus unintentionally shouts.

The bonds holding the fiends must be weakening.. we must make haste!

Firaxus circles around the Red Hound, opposite Master Mido.

He continues to play his gallant song, then strikes at the hound!

Firaxus is so enamored with Ollysta's gallantry that he fails to see the threat before it's too late. Dusting off some cinders from himself, Firaxus begins playing his flute, Inspiring Courage to defeat these foul minions of Hell!

Firaxus stares in awe as the Paladin bravely rushes forward to deal with the menace, then turns his attention to the threat ahead.

By the Eagle Knights, I sure wish I could hear what's going on.

After Rika took out some gold coins, Firaxus fished out some of his own and handed Rika 5 gp.

Now that the group has moved away from the crowds, Firaxus takes out his flute and sets the tone for some discussion.

As he plays, Firaxus gives his best smile to the Paladin, nodding along while trying to read Wadi's lips.

Why would Lady Zadrian purchase an unholy symbol? I sure hope she hasn't switched faiths! Firaxus chuckles to himself at the thought.

Firaxus nods to Cirri in thanks as she jots down the conversation with Ollystra. He scribbles back, Glad we found her! You all take the lead, I'll follow until I can hear!

Seeing the last of the thugs run off, Firaxus (unintentionally) shouts, "Great job team!", but seeing Mido point to his ears, also shakes his head and points to his ears as well.

Firaxus, still deafened, attempts to continue inspiring his allies.

Continuing his song, he steps 5ft forward next to Master Mido, drawing his longsword.

"I am not going to look at your tapeworm, even if it's your wife!" Firaxus responds to what he misheard.

Longsword ATK: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Longsword DMG: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Firaxus boldly lunges forward, striking toward his foe!

Bardic Performance continues: everyone gets +1 to both ATK and DMG if you aren't deaf

Fortitude Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

"Ouch! Cirri- what did you say?"

Continuing Bardic Performance while Deafened: 1d100 ⇒ 88 20% chance to fail a performance with an auditory component while deafened.

Firaxus is able to continue his playing, but it certainly sounds a bit more.. energized than before! I'm not sure what it is I'm playing anymore, but I bet it sounds great!

Any player who is deaf will _no longer_ receive the +1 to ATK and DMG!

Firaxus takes out his flute with a rousing scherzo to Inspire Courage!

Are we missing one of the bandits on the map? I only see 3 of them and looks like there should be four.

Firaxus takes out his flute and plays a mournful dirge as he follows his party out the door.

"Well I certainly hope that you learn your lesson and take it to heart! Iomedae watch over the souls of your assistants."

Firaxus shakes his head, and plods closer to the Infernal Incantation. As he looks upon its cover, he considers the fate of these two. So blinded by his greed for power and knowledge that he fails to realize his actions carry consequences!

"Yes please, my companions and I are from the Pathfinder Society and here to help. We must know if any other Devils have been unleashed." Firaxus plays a soothing melody on his flute during the conversation with the group.

Diplomacy (Versatile Performance) : 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25

Versatile Performance allows Firaxus to substitute his Perform skill in place of Diplomacy

"Whew, great job everyone! It seems obvious the book has been activated in some way. I'm just glad that bearded Devil didn't get close enough for me to smell its brimstone-breath!"

Firaxus looks over at the symbol on the ground, Hm... does that look familiar?

Knowledge (Religion, Planes, History?): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13

"I'm not much of a healer, but please tell me how I can help with these poor folk. I have a wand that will cure some light wounds, thank Iomadae!"

Firaxus continues playing his flute, Inspiring Courage within his allies! He eagerly strides forward, longsword at the ready in case the bearded devil gets close.

2/15 Rounds of Bardic Performance used today.

"This should get our blood pumping!" Firaxus exclaims.

He lifts his flute to his lips, and begins a gallant tune popular in the bars in Almas.

Inspire Courage +1: Allies receive a +1 morale bonus to saves vs. fear effects, as well as +1 to both ATK and DMG.

Firaxus will also move just inside and to the left of the door.

"That is a kind offer, I'll take the extra help! Just uh, hopefully it's not too cold." Firaxus requests with a smile.

After steeling his resolve, he takes a look at the rooms downstairs, and begins to head up the stairs with his shiny flute at the ready.

Perception: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (5) + 0 = 5

Firaxus looks up at the window, straining to hear or see anything above the hubbub of the crowd. I sure hope that isn't REAL fire... Firaxus considers.

Perception: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (3) + 0 = 3

He follows Wadi up to the group, "My friend here has a good question- any information you can share would help us immensely!" Firaxus glances over at Wadi and gives a small smile. "And any chance you all saw anyone entering the house? A bit odd that the door is open!"

Diplomacy (aid another): 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20

Firaxus is ready to move into the house when the rest of the party is.

Knowledge (religion): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23

Ah, more nasty devils. Drandle Drang sent me down into an infernal vault to investigate a devil-worshipping Chelaxian. It seems rare for those dealing with devils to get what they wish!

Taking a step toward the door, Firaxus quietly begins to whistle an upbeat tune.

Slowly opening the door, a straight-backed halfling enters the room, bedazzled flute almost as shiny as the longsword hanging off his left hip. "Hello, everyone! So sorry I'm late. Sometimes you get a great tune going, and the crowd won't even let you leave!"

Firaxus chuckles to himself, then looks around at the other Pathfinders, clearly impressed with the crew he finds himself with. He notices Rika, and asks "That sling is making a nice whistling sound! But be careful not to speed up too much or it might go flying through that door I just came through!"
