Spotting the student moving towards the beast he sends another question to her. ::You see this is why I am in favor of turning students into frogs as punishment.::
"You know I really am starting not to like you." He started casting another mighty spell. The air hammering down once more on the beast. He hoped things would be resolved before his spell was completed. Slam:

I think it was +10. Edit-Btw how does epic magic react with the wards of agartha. Because Filne has a few epic spells that rely on stuff they ward off like gate and teleportation.

"Well at least its never dull work." The frog in his cage was shaking the bars trying to get out and away. "Oh come now I am not going to let you get hurt. Relax dont go hopping mad." The frog stops and turns to the elf giving him an expression that conveyed deep loathing. "What I could not resist. Anyways lets get started." He drops the cage which winks out of existance and a large armored figure appears in it's place. "Would you mind clearing out the students while I try to deal with that, thank you." The winged figure starts taking groups of students to safety while he starts casting a mighty spell.
I have sworn off video games for a while. They cost to much, suck out my soul for weeks at a time, and I burn thru them too fast. I stick to free net games. XP
Filne cast a quick spell on the frog, he seems to stare at nothing for a moment. "No wonder they have townsfolk come knocking. Does anyone know how to keep a secret around here anymore. How I miss the good old days, the young take so much for granted. Touchy about every little thing that does not matter then brushing off important stuff, I remember when......." He keeps mumbling to himself as he goes back to his rounds. Letting the cage dangle from his hand. He points to another student who was picking on a younger student. Lefting the cage as a warning.
Filne shook his head. "Honestly you have a school full of students with exceptional abilities but you treat them as if normal methods will be effective. Tell me really how many repeat offenders do you have, have your so called punishments stopped them, or better yet do they even respect you or rather who backs you." He makes it a point to look at the kobold. "After the event is over I will be sure to speak to the Headmaster so he can clearify the way things are done for me. I suggest you stop wasting your time on me and pay attention to your duties." He nods over to some pack members who seem to be smuggling something alive deeper into the crowd. They spot the elf looking and shuffle along faster. Filne lets a bemused look creep on to his face, he was not going to do anything about those students or what they were bring.
"I cant turn him back at this moment. Magic is not a switch you know. Anyways whats so bad about being a frog, he eats a fly or two. Personally I think your making to much about it. If he kept on he could have crashed into someone or into an object which would have caused an injury to himself or others. Being turned into a frog is better then a broken neck in my book. Anyways look around." A number of flying students had quickly stopped being so reckless, more then a few glancing at the elven teacher. "I got plenty of room in here and they know it. I think results speak for themselves."
"Hey dont go up to high. You stop dive bombing those girls or I'll turn you into a frog for a week." A student flies by him so fast his robes whip out to one side covering his head. "......Thats it." The student suddenly finds himself grabbed by a giant glowing hand and slammed into the ground. Filne walks over with a small cage in one hand and a glowing finger raised in the other. "Foolish students say ribbit." He points at him and in a burst of green light he turns into a frog. Filne puts him in the cage. "Anyone else want to take things too far hmmmm."
Filne shrugs. "Spying implies their is something worth hiding. Innocent people have nothing to fear from their little secrets. After all what could simple townspeople have to hide that would matter to us. I for one could care less to find out who has been sneaking extra eggs out of the hen house or that so and so's son is seeing the local barmaid. Anything that would be worth our attention would be dangerous and so being forewarned would give us time to avert such a tragic event in the making or at least prepare for it." He shrugs again then bows. "Well all these theories serve little purpose. Let us simply do our duty and hope for the best. If you'll excuse me I must return to watching the students and stopping a highly strung kobold from putting more students in detention then in their classes. Headmaster." He quickly walks away towards yet another victim of the rampaging kobold.
"You know I smell trouble. Two of them seem reasonable but the third I make out as someone with something to prove. People like that tend to only be interested in their own truth. Should I keep an eye on them?"
In case you were wondering he offered the book of flesh and mirrors. It contains a good deal on the plane of mirrors and how to summon a mirror mephit. They make great spies sense they can travel and see thru any reflective surface. Filne "acquired" the tome from a strangely cunning demon, who was not half as cunning as he thought when it came to Filne. Thought Geno would like to barrow it. ;)
Filne walks up to his fellow teacher, Mr. Gennosuke. "I heard about your grandson. May I interest you in a way to keep a secretive eye on him." He pulls out a book that seems to be made of some sort of mirror leather. "After all we staff members have to help each other out."
::Hides a sealed metal vial with the elven rune for life on its top:: "Um thats nothing you need to know about."
Filen nods. "I would expect not. I may be able to help a little." He cast another spell and mist seems to collect into the room. Once it is complete he looks over the many small vaguely humanoid figures before him. "Its a branch off of the unseen servent spell. Its easier to keep track of them when their made from mist. Now get to work all of you." They spread out helping to repair and move things as best they can.
"Oh I think now is a good time to mention I dont do clean ups. Their is a reason we elves tend to live in homes at one with the world that grow."
Filne suddenly finds his robe very interesting. "Um I have been to Dis now and again but you know if he is a Duke of Hell. Their is zero chance of forcing anything with him their. Hell has laws that are forced upon all who dwell with in regardless of their agreement. Divine magic from any source other then Hell wont even work there for example. Dukes are subject to Lords of Hell from their layer alone. Your only option is to deal." He did not like where this was going. Dealing with devils was always tricky business and the wise never did it in Hell.
"Um is that girl and being on our side?"
The fire washes over him with little effect but the sheer power of the blast throws him back. Filne's normal easy face turned hard as his eyes narrowed turning into points of white light. He held off on any action just yet.
"Geez calm down we are the adults here, no need to rush in without thinking and what not. I swear people are always in a rush about something like the universe would end." He keeps mumbling as he cast a spell. Once complete David suddenly slumbs over holding his head. Just as quickly the elf goes flying into a wall with the force of a titan's maul. Some how he gets up and looks at David with a sour look. "What in heavens name are you. Thats no normal fiend, my spell should have transfered his mind into my body rundering him paralyzed while I was in his body. He somehow repelled me, that does not happen even with greater fiends. Whatever it is, it borders on demon lord status."
Filne nods. "Oh yes, sadly our wayward kin the drow have had countless dealings with demons and so I have very detailed if highly disturbing lore on them." He gets up and looks thru his pockets until he pulls out a tome covered in what seems to be living skin that moves slightly. "Don't ask, unlike myself you need to eat."
Filne smiles a bit. "We are very rare and we work hard to keep our existence as mere myth. You can understand how the unenlighten may take a black and white view of undead. I must warn you I specialize in elven history and by extension their view of it. While I am sure the major facts are the same, like all written history it will be slanted to the side of the writer. If this is acceptable I do not mind taking the class. I would also ask that my condition only be shared with those that need to know and can be trusted to keep it secret. If their is any assitance I can offer feel free to ask." He gives a slight bow of the head.
Filne takes a seat. "Well then to the point. I am a baelnorn more commonly known as an elven lich and a rather old one. Older then this world in fact, bet I dont look a day over a thousand." He waits for a reaction, truth be told he took a strange pleasure out of it. Found it very entertaining regardless of the result.

Before Filne answers in the thread just want to run it by you. Headmaster Ryo:
He is going to let him in on his little lich condition, make you aware that he knows the real story about the dragons having shared a bit of history with them, and that he knows some are with in the school. But not who they are. Anything concerning his past I'll leave to rp. Let me know if I have the go ahead. :)
He makes note of the door. It was different from the outer wards. He wondered just how many different kinds of magics were interwoven into this place. He walked thru. "Thanks, oh yeah I think it best if its just me." He nods at the winged being who disappears in reply.
Ryo gets a strange feeling from his mind as if it is not all there but at the same time as if it holds a huge amount of experiences. None the less all he gets is a feeling as he cant break thru. Filne gives a slight smile. "No doubt that was interesting. I assure you I cant be possessed, well not by fiends I do enjoy gardening a bit to much at times. I would be glad to teach anything that I have expertise in. If you do not mind could we go somewhere private when you have time. I feel compelled to make you aware of a few minor details about myself. Best to make an informed decision after all."
Filne bows slightly. "Ah well I am hoping to change that. I am Filne Nathton, a mage and lorekeeper of the elven people among other things. I have come here to inquire about a teaching position."

Lets not talk grammer and spelling here as everyone is guilty. Mostly due to typing errors. Let it go. Also I dont think putting a bottle of jack in plain view is going to help anyone at AA. Why would it work on a impulsive mood swinging teenager. Your just trying to get Asch in trouble. I see your evil plot, your bitter about vampires and want to torment Asch. Your channeling Vakkler's jerk spirit sense he has been exposed to Michael. XD P.S. Really looking forward to Krays and Ephebe's fight with the metal dragon. ^.^
Filne had another little known spell, one his people normally used against fleeing magical killers. But it would only be useable for a few more moments. He quickly cast the spell, he hated how it felt. His body seemed to get sucked into the spot where Asch disappeared. He exited in the same spot Asch had as well, he stumbled over landing on his side. He pulled himself up and dusted off feeling a little less impressive then he was expected to be. "Aham I think I can help her or rather someone I can call." He snaps his fingers and an armored helmed figure wielding an immense axe with two pairs of wings appears near him. "Would you be so kind as to heal her." The axe glows in response pouring healing magic into Amada. It seemed he was a little late, but you could never complain about being overly healed now could you.
Yeah but your human now so having a snack teaching self control is not wise. He wont be tempted or a threat to Filne. But this is assuming he servives his boss. Anyone want to give odds on that? ;D
Well if Filne gets the job they can always send Asch to private lessons with him. Welcome to Undead 101, here you will learn to control yourself and deal with your undeadness. ;)
I would be more concerned about what else is in Enre's blood. Sense he is basically a monster book smoothy. "Good news Asch we used Enre's blood to save you. Bad news is you now have a pink tail and a craving for cheese. But hey your alive.....for the most part."
The fact that a creature without regeneration needs a magic ring is the reason you think a blood transfer won't work? What if what you just did didn't work? Sure, you could read it as a negative energy effect, but you could also see it as moving positive energy around. "You may want to back up as this will devour your life energy." To me that sounds like positive energy is going to be consumed not "moved around" otherwise drain or something to that effect would be the word to use. Also I have yet to hear a reason why a blood transfer would grant regeneration. More so with the two beings involved considering what they both are.
I am not using the spell. I have the ex ability so it is un-typed. I was using it as a basis for how the ability works. Sense you do use that spell to create the item that confers the same ability and effects of the natural ability. The old Filne had a ring of negitive regeneration. Any living person would be dosed with a negitive version of regeneration so they would waste away. Man were those NPCs mad when they found that out. XD
Filne quickly picks up Asch head and places it back on his shoulders. Then removes some items from his belt pockets, he sew's his head back on next he then spreads some sort of cream over the wound. "You may want to back up as this will devour your life energy." He places one hand around his neck the other goes thru complex movements. Black energy seeps into Asch body healing it to its former state. The area directly around them on the other hand seems to age before their eyes as even the stone floor becomes brittle and the air stale. With in moments its over and he removes his hand from Asch neck, fully healed. "Well that should do just fine. He should awake up feeling very well I think." He puts his tools away and brushes himself off. "Do you happen to know where the Headmaster's office is?"
As long as it is not positive energy based I thought it would be fine? Look at the regenerate spell. It does not effect nonliving creatures and it falls under healing which in my exp is positive based. Undead regenerate from their negitive energy if you cut that off they lose that ability, which you can for some undead if I remember right.
I would remind you that half vampires react differently to healing then normal creatures. Regeneration from your blood may act as a poison that slowly destroys his body as a result. I have some exp with these things. :P

I dont know who that is and I used a random gen for the name that makes use of bits of words. So I got something like Fil Ne Nath Ton and just put them into decent words. Who knew. |
