Pushing back EE allows me more time to get a decent laptop... the game crashing every 20 minutes because my laptop is useless really sucks... I am blaming my laptop, not the game:)
It is also good that there doesn't need to be a mad rush to get in, as well as the fact that some of us are 15-17 hours ahead of Seattle, which makes some of the server times a bit more challenging...

I can run it comfortably (not at 30+ FPS, but good enough to play). My video system is an AMD6600M. Ryan, thanks for that. It's more my GPU I'm worried about, it's on it's last legs....
I suppose it's a good excuse to my a new laptop lol

They've said they plan to show that information, but they didn't know when that would happen. Thanks, I just can't remember what add packs I have already and don't want to double up. I guess I'll just wait.
Is it possible (or am I just being blind and not finding it?) to see on the store what upgrades you have already purchased?
Have there been any issues with older laptop/pcs running the game? I am looking forward to getting in at the end of Alpha and am hoping that my clanky laptop will be up to the task...
TClifford wrote: Okay, how much is the Base Camp? At first it said $50 [which the blog also says], but then in your cart it jumps to $100. When I removed it from the cart, it was $100 in the order page. For me everything is $15 more....
In Pathfinder TT, given a few rounds to prepare/buff, Clerics could easily go toe to toe with Fighters, so I don't see why they couldn't in PFO.
Both the classes I am wanting to play won't be ready at the start of EE (Paladin & Bard), so I will most likely make my 'paladin' a mix of fighter/cleric and let my twin accumulate xp until bard does come in (or maybe take a few rogue skills). At first I was all for a respec, but after thinking about it, those of us lucky enough to be in EE will get a good headstart anyways, and I don't think there will be skills so useless that if you take them thinking they will be useful for a futurerole and aren't they won't cripple you. It's either that or waiting it out until they do get added. Personally, I want to jump in as soon as I can (if not sooner)
Grats on the new shiny website :)

10*$15 = $150
The price for 1 year is listed at $180.
Using Firefox I get..
List Price: $180.00
Our Price: $150.00

That was what i was looking for.
Is there a list somewhere of what you already have based on your kickstarter backer level and/or daily rewards? I don't want to accidentally duplicate items o.o

Though I might have just as much experience built up as another player member to a superpower, will I have any way to be competitive without also being a vassal of a superpower?
I think that what a lot of casual player (myself included) are worried about...

This is also a concern I have when hearing how hard-core people get into Eve and plan things out here. I've invested more time than anyone being considered a "casual" participant would put in even if the game was already out, but some discussions still make me wonder if I might be getting in over my head as for how much commitment may be expected to progress in the game in a meaningful way.
I think this applies to a lot of us.... I love playing the TT version and really want to be able to play this game... but like a lot of people here feel, if it becomes to hard-core or like a second job, I will have to find a different way of enjoy the few hours I get a day of relaxation. And yes I play games to have fun, not necessarily to win, I play to relax and unwind...

As long as it means we can all have meaningful contributions no matter how much or little we play, I'm happy too :)

1: You'll probably need to be prepared to wake up and fight at 3am if you expect to be involved in the defense of a Settlement. There's no way around that in a world that is a globe. It's 3am for someone all the time. Your opponents will try to make the fight for a Settlement as disadvantageous for its defenders as possible.
I don't think it will be common, but it won't be exceptional. Steelwind's 7 wakeups a year seems within reason to me.
I just hope that the game will not be dominated by the settlements that this highly organised, otherwise I could see a lot of people like me turning away. Due to work/family commitments I only have a few hours a day to be able to play and if any settlements I join are easy prey, it would not be worth playing... I do understand that this is a global game, and so timings will not always be on my time zone (esp as I'm the other side of the world...), but consideration should be given to the part time players....
Quote: If you do not act contrary to their Core Alignment, you will eventually return to it. This does mean if you have 7000 in Good, it will slowly trend down towards 5000 Good. How fast is this trending going to be i.e. if you are playing a paladin and need to keep you're alignment above 7000, by doing good deeds you are acting in accordance with your alignment, therefore will start trending down... and if feats/slots are linked are they even going to feasible over a long patrol etc?

My thoughts were that as the FAQ came out more recently (June 2013) as opposed to when the Jotungrip rules were written (2011), it is setting a new precedent about two-handed weapons and therefore does this updated ruling change how two-handed weapons are handled (no pun intended).
With the new FAQ regarding two-handed weapons and power attack:
FAQ
Power Attack: If I am using a two-handed weapon with one hand (such as a lance while mounted), do still I get the +50% damage for using a two-handed weapon?
Yes.
Does this supersede Jotungrip or is jotungrip an exception to this new ruling?
Jotungrip (Ex)
At 2nd level, a titan mauler may choose to wield a two-handed melee weapon in one hand with a –2 penalty on attack rolls while doing so. The weapon must be appropriately sized for her, and it is treated as one-handed when determining the effect of Power Attack, Strength bonus to damage, and the like.
Thanks for the latest installment and look forward to hearing how your game goes tomorrow :)
Thanks again John, I have just emailed and hopefully will be blessed with the directors cut version :)

I too am preparing to run LoF as full pathfinder and this is going to help me so much, thank you for all the time you have spent converting it and posting it up for the rest of us :) Do you have a link to the forum where the ultimate version was discussed? I think I'd like to look at it and maybe try it too.
Thanks again for all your hard work John :)
"All characters are proficient with unarmed strikes and any natural weapons possessed by their race."
So even wizards can punch, just not going to do much damage....
From CRB page 141...
"A character who uses a weapon with which he is not proficient takes a –4 penalty on attack rolls."
Hope this helps.
