Oloooo :)

If you stay over him, and lay on hands, and he wakes up, he can channel and keep the healing going. Assuming you can tank through the bad guys. Even a max channel can't take Festa from -7 to conscious, so at least 2 rounds are required for that to pull through. Ooooeee :) time to be a hero!

Stabilize: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

I'm not sure if the stabilize check happens before or after the bleed happens for the round. If the check happens first, then Festa is stable, otherwise he bleeds to -8

Stabilize: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14

That puts me at -7 and not stable, I think

Stabilize: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Blood! So much blood!

HP 8/20; AC 21

Festa steps gingerly to minimize the enemies he's directly exposed to 5ft to BC17 then drinks his potion of mage armor; hoping that it will give him the safety net he needs to get out ahead in this fight.

Provokes from #1 and #6; if Navior doesn't mind I'll just expedite the process:

AOO from #1, flanking 1d20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 2 = 7 damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 miss
AOO from #6, flanking 1d20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 1 + 2 = 15 damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 miss

Festa grimaces as he sees the barbed arrow drive into Rowyn's skin, a bright red stream of blood quickly flowing out. Perhaps we can re-negotiate after their leader goes down, Festa thinks to himself as he steps in to close the distance BC16 and aims a carefully balanced strike just below her ribcage.

Focused blow, Stunning Fist DC 13 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17 damage 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (2, 6) + 1 = 9

With a bit of luck that will keep her out of the fight for longer - including staying flat-footed for an extra round.

Acting first can have perks: Before the dumbstruck opposition can react, Festa pulls out on of his potions of mage armor. With his remaining move action.

Festa looks at the assembled combatants, his tough face framed by stale sweat and dirt from earlier fights. "Heey. I'm Festa," he ventures.

"What? You want to be her assistant right next to us, who are not nice ones? Is she really that nice? She just whipped me - and we're on the same side." Festa laughs at the thought, then adds, "Well... you have been hanging out with these people in here - and some of them are definitely less than nice."

Festa first guffaws at Churtle's admission to not mixing up cooking and poison, but then nods to himself that this was indeed the sensible thing to do. After a minute he also adds to the kobold: "We might have a new position for you; at least, if we're successful with all this Vanthus hunting we might restore our employer's fortune - if so there's every possibility that she's open to expand her staff."

Festa tips his head and winks at the kobold, "Sorry about earlier, I didn't mean to startle you. I was expecting... well, somebody else."

Festa in a voice awkwardly half-way between raised and subdued mentions into the room beyond, "Sorry about earlier!"

"That door over there," Festa highlights the relevant one.

"Well pardon me, I was born with this face, I can't help it."

Festa delays.

Festa stops in his tracks, "She's not with us?" Surprised he looks back down the corridor he came from; then quickly retraces his steps.

Festa moves until a door blocks him, then opens it.

Festa goes towards where the largest amount of them had been spotted previously.

Delay, until we have chosen a course of action

"Do we rummage through what we can find, or try to press them right away?"

Can Jacinth also take a 5ft step toward AU8, then Festa can take over door duty; either way:

Festa nods and dashes passed Tippi to where Jacinth was guarding the door - again he prepares to smack whatever foe carelessly gets in too close.

Readied action:

Focussed blow 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13 damage 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (1, 3) + 1 = 5

Regardless of Tippi's trip result, Festa's action is:

Festa's head snaps to the left to avoid the whip on its return. Good, he thinks, here's another chance.

Focussed blow 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17 damage 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (3, 1) + 1 = 5

These damage dice...

Festa flicks his right foot (still poised from the lifted right leg from the prior attack). "This will do," he mutters, as he prepares to kick again, should an enemy be foolish enough to try the door again.

Readied rolls:

Focussed blow 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19 damage 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (1, 1) + 1 = 3

"Surprise!"

Focused blow 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22 damage 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (3, 3) + 1 = 7

Festa switches gears and hurries to help out Tippi. He moves next to her, in front of the door, and readies to attack an enemy should they present themselves.

And incidentally also prepares to kick before Tippi can finish casting her spell.

Festa nods at Tippi's words and prepares to intercept. Move to AU12 Then he readies a powerful kick, should an enemy come within kicking reach (but still holding on to the chair, aloft menacingly).

Festa momentarily moves passed Tippi to AU9 to get a better idea what lies in the corridor beyond, then returns to his starting position one move action. He whispers his observations to Tippi as he passes her. Then he picks up one of the nearby chairs to act as an improvised weapon, he lifts it above his head in an obvious display of smackdown.

Festa follows after Tippi, and attempts to open the door where she stands. He points out the southern door, "That's where I found... I guess the cook?"

That would be awesome. So like I said: you're welcome ;)

"What? ...Ya, don't worry, I got the oil. This place will burn down a treat." Festa wiggles his eyebrows at the others.

Bluff, to throw them off 1d20 ⇒ 13

I don't know if they would contest what they hear, but just in case, here's a bluff check.

I've removed the kobold from the order as she won't be doing anything else this battle that the rest of you can see or hear. :)

You're welcome. Festa: friendly and efficient

Well that is encouraging at least. Festa hurries over to the others. AY13

"[b]Some small critter. A goblin? A kobold? An imp? It looks like its the cook. And it's screaming bluddy murder.[b]" Festa informs Xanthippe. He spends his turn jamming a nearby chair to lock-down this door.

Let's do it! The sense of action flows out of Festa; unusually obvious for his usually passive appearance.

Did Festa pick up signs of use? Can we expect them to come for lunch/dinner in an hour or two? We might just wait it out and take them out with the spoon in hand rather than sword in hand.

Festa stealthily gets himself to the doorway AY11 and then back, close enough to report on the full room content.

Stealth 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Perception 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

On the very first step he misplaces and stubs his toe and a soft "eishh-" escapes his lips. Still... Festa somewhat cautiously creeps to the next corner and takes a peek.

Stealth 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
Perception 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

Festa nods, but spends the next few moments examining the door for anything that suggests it might be rigged in some way.

Perception 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

Festa drops down the trap door and begins to find a relatively dry path to follow until they get to the next trap door. Quietly he asks: "Anybody know the town well enough to guess under what we are right now?"

Festa immediately springs forth, there was a sound of urgency in Tippi's head-message. He jumps through the open front door, a roll, and comes up standing with one hand extended backward and one forward. "HOOOo-o..haah?"

"Uss-o!" Festa confirms Tippi's message; again speaking in an unnecessarily loud whisper. He pays extra attention to the door she indicates, but also occasionally sweeps his vision all round to keep aware of what is happening outside of the building.

Festa nods his head, though isn't used to how this magic is supposed to work. He looks upward and in an oddly loud quiet voice, "Okay. I'll let you know. Should I pursue anyone, or keep watching the doors? Is this working? Can you hear me?" (The last part is quite redundant, as not only is the magic working fine - Tippi is close enough to hear him quite fine.)

Festa, in spite his misgivings about Tippi's relaxed description of events, does enjoy breakfast. It is too opulent for his liking, but he feels like he can get used to having a selection of cheeses on hand for meals. "This (nomnom) this is good. What is it?"

Festa's face is visibly unwell as he tries to digest Tippi's spin on events. "We'll see."

Quite the contrary, seawater (assuming salt water) is great for the skin. Though may want to worry about wet cold clothing.

Festa is momentarily alarmed.

"Sensible," Festa nods. "Where did the deadman's note say we would find the Lady's brother? Should we maybe push that hint to resolution first?"

Festa throws Jacinth a look that is half panic, half blistering disdain. "Uncouth youth!" he whispers under his breath.

"I'm good for it, no worries. I'm more concerned that something nasty is in the tunnel, or beyond. Or guarding the entrance we used."

Festa is happy to take the potion and Take 10 himself through the tunnel.

"If the water is affected by the tide, then we should be able to get out. What do you think our chances are of finding an air pocket every 50 ft or so?"

"How high do you estimate it is to the surface? Perhaps we can dig our way out of here. Assuming we don't cause a cave-in first."
